Bleak!

The tablonnet suddenly glowed brightly once more, and the padlock symbol appeared to hover in mid-air above its glass screen. The tablonnet was locked, and could not be accessed until it was unlocked.

The glowing symbol almost seemed like it was taunting Adamax, challenging him to unlock the device and access its contents.

"That's not a problem," Adamax muttered to himself as he made his way to the bed, where he had dropped the tablonnet.

He reached down and picked it up, turning it over in his hands as he pondered how to unlock it. He knew there must surely be a way.

Without a second thought, Adamax set down his notepad and pen, picking up the tablonnet once more. In his previous life, he had been an expert at unlocking electronic devices, and he knew that this one would be no different. He would have it open in mere minutes.
