Mr. Liam, still in the car, kept murmuring.
"What a lazy son-in-law he is.? I will deal with him; I will make sure he gets to know where he belongs in the family." Mr. Liam concluded that he kept watching his cell phone, expecting Lucas to call.
However, Mr. Liam got home in such a mood that, while entering the sitting room, Isabella, his beautiful wife, observed his mood.
"Not even a kiss." She said to him,
"That son-in-law of yours has been a bone in my neck." He replied to Isabella, who drew closer to him.
Mr. Liam demanded a glass of juice from the house keeper.which was served to him, he sipped and dropped it on the table.
"I decided to check on the newly renovated restaurant of ours, only to be told by the manager that Lucas hasn't resumed work due to a shortage of food." He complained.
"What exactly is wrong with that boy? Have you been told that he is not met or relaxed, not even once?" Isabella said. "He has to be cautious, and I will do that myself." She added.
"If he had known how much I invested in that restaurant to make it special and handed it over to Renee, expecting it to grow just as others have done, He wouldn't have been playing with the job." Mr. Liam spoke aggressively.
"Sweetheart, I think he is beginning to feel at home, while he has no space in the Liam family, irrespective of being our son-in-law. He deserved to be scolded again." Isabella replied. They were still calling when Mr. Liam's phone rang. He checked.
"The bastard is calling back." He said this before Isabella. Mr. Liam pressed the green button and said.
"Where have you dropped your phone, you bastard? Didn't you see my call.?" He asked Lucas on the phone. Meanwhile, Lucas had taken the phone to the backyard, avoiding being heard by the other staff.
"I have been in the kitchen." He replied to Mr. Liam calmly.
"Can your whole life afford to afford that restaurant? Do you know how much I have spent establishing it, yet you choose when and when not to be at work?" Mr. Liam scolded him on the phone.
"I don't get you, sir. I was only told that you visit the workplace, though. He washer to explain himself. Isabella pleaded with Mr. Liam to hand over the phone to her.
"Young man, if you don't know your job, we will send you where you belong; you should have known that by now." She scolded him.
Lucas had to ponder more as they cut off the phone without him explaining more.
"What a mess! An insult on a daily basis from my in-laws. I see that I have been neglected in the family." He spoke to himself as he got worried. Lucas, after doing this, dressed himself up, putting on a smiley face, and went to his duty post.
"Where have you been?" Sherman, who had been searching for Lucas, met him coming from the backyard.
"Why do you ask?" Lucas tried being the boss.
"Do you know that you are a fool.?" Sherman asked him. "And I expect you to say yes."
"I am not a fool; get that into your head." Lucas replied to him.
"I see you want to be sacked," Sherman told him.
"And you expect me to plead with you on my property." Lucas replied to him boldly.
"Keep claiming shadow." Sherman replied to him and added. "Return to your duty post now; Mr. Kingston demands that you deliver him his launch now." Sherman spoke to him. Meanwhile, Lucas had been the restaurant chef and a spare home and office deliverer for the special customer.
Lucas dished Mr. Kingston and his guest dish and packaged it ready to be delivered."I think I'm fit enough for the delivery." He said to himself, I went down to the bathroom and looked through the mirror on the wall.
"I am okay," Lucas said to him, and upon leaving the bathroom, he went to the receptionist, picked up the package of food, and went into the car. A few minutes later,Lucas arrived at Mr. Kingston's office.
"Sorry to have arrived late." He said this to the Kingston receptionist.
"He is still at the meeting with the guest. Just drop the meal and have this as your payment." The receptionist said:.
Lucas dropped the meal, took the money, and left. "Has the food been delivered.?" Eric Kingston's manager asked the receptionist, Bella.
"Yes," she replied.
"Can I have it while you get the juice along to the board meeting hall? We are done with the meeting, awaiting refreshment.
The food was served to all in the hall.
" Woooh! Norah, the billionaire daughter from Serangoon, spoke. "The food tastes nice," she added. "Where do you get it from.?" She asked.
"Do you like it.?" Kingston asked her, smiling as well.
"It is nice, and I will have more of it on each of my visits as I spent my six months supervising the company construction." She said,
"That won't be a problem. I will connect you with the restaurant and, at the same time, the chief if you need home service."Kingston promised her.
"Please do," she said. "I can't wait to eat more of this." She added.
Meanwhile, Kingston watched her eat majestically, and with the manner in which she had chewed the meat, he felt so attracted to that.
"What gentle chewing.?" That drew his attention.
"Thanks, but that has been my chewing style." She replied to him. Although Norah was Mr. Caleb's only surviving child, she had been hardworking and had spent most of her time in Canada. Having beautiful skin and a smiling face.
"I'm refreshed now." She said this to Kingston, who was also eating. "I had to leave my hotel room." Norah stood from the chair; she properly adjusted her gown, the same with her hair, and handed over her file to her personal assistant, Evelyn.
