My Billionaire ex-husband

Lucas and Renee, his wife, were to attend Renee's father's 50th birthday that's to take place in a month's interval, and its preparation was ongoing. Now Lucas and Renee sat down to discuss it.

"It will be my dad's 50th birthday soon. What exactly do you have for him.?" She asked Lucas, expecting to hear from him.

Lucas scratched his cheek and answered.

"The little I can do is what I will present." He said to her,

Renee became so angry that she had to remind him of his situation.

"What have you ever contributed to the family and been appreciated for? Nothing, due to your poor state of life." She paused and continued.

"I regretted making you my husband, and so did the family regret making you their son-in-law." She scolded him.

Lucas shocked his head as he felt the pain. "Why, then, do you fall in love with me? You were so desperate to be my wife even when you knew that I was your parents' cook, and yet you found me worthy of being your husband." He replied to her.

"Listen, Lucas, I do not love you; rather, it is your handsomeness and your potential that are all that pushed me to do so. Remember, I am always moved by handsome men like you. So do not think I love you." "No," she nodded her head, and with a sexy look, she added. "Everyone knows that."

"I wasn't deceived; yes, I know that. I knew that you were just after being with a handsome guy, someone to grow the family business the more you intend going globally, to show the world how handsome your husband is; so also his potentials." He paused and breathed down. "Can I remind you that I love you?"

Renee stared at him and said, "I don't love you, and again, stick to my instructions; if you fail to do that, you won't find it nice with me." She reminded him.

"You have stopped me from eating the same food you eat, even when I am the one preparing it. I ate the meal without taste, while you ate the delicious food." Lucas complained.

" That's because you are valueless to me. Having you was a mistake." She added.

Lucas, with shame, left her present and got into his room, their matrimonial room. Then Renee met him.

"You are not spending the night in this room." Renee stood as she spoke to him respectfully.

"This is the second time you have denied me spending the night in your room. The first was that my body irritates you, yet it is the same body you have always loved to have sex with." He replied to her. "What then is your reason for saying so today, which marked our three months marriage.?" Lucas asked her curiously.

Renee drew closer to him and stood before him. With a reluctant mood, she answered him.

"I am expecting a handsome, classic young man—a man in my class who will be spending the night with me." Renee's words irritate him; he got to know the marriage was almost terminating.

"What do you mean by spending the night with...?"He was interrupted by her.

"You don't own me; I do." She said that and paused. "What do you contribute during the marriage? Nothing, more than directing the chef on the food to be cooked, of which you almost prepared it." She underestimated him, and he became angry.

"Don't insult me." He pointed at her.

"Did I hear you say that to me? Renee stressed the words.

Lucas calmed down; and replied Renee calmly "That's not what I mean." He said.

"Use the guess room." She said to him,

"Darling, you don't have to do that with me." Lucas lamented

"What do you mean?" She asked, smiling, knowing what he was about to say.

"You want to cheat on me." Lucas replied to her, knowing what she had planned.

"Hahahahaah!" Renee laughed and replied him. "I am sorry, my darling, but I have to wine with my class. You are not my class; not even in your 80s will you get there." She insulted him.

Lucas felt intimated; he stepped about leaving the room when Renee said to him.

"Consider divorce, if you fail to obey me." Renee promised him  that as she smiled,  watching Lucas leave her presence.

Lucas left the bedroom, getting to the sitting room, he said.

Lucas sat with his hands on his cheeks.

"I accepted being her husband because I love her and I wanted a better life for myself. But here, I am humiliated." Lucas was still concluding when the housekeeper met him.

"Renee has demanded you prepare her and her guest a continental meal, which must be done in a hurry according to her instructions." Joycelyn, the housekeeper, said it unrespectfully.

Lucas stared at the housekeeper and said, "What regard do you have for me as a son-in-law to the billionaire family.?"

Joycelyn replied to him.

"The last time I checked, you were introduced to the domestic workers and others as her chef." She reminded Lucas.

"I am her husband." He said it boldly.

Renee overheard it, and said from the upstairs.

"You are just a caretaker, not my husband; I am yet to have my husband. So get yourself occupied with the instructions given to you." Renee shouted at him.

Joycelyn quickly ran to her duty post, while Lucas reluctantly walked into the kitchen to get the meal prepared, which was for Renee and her guest.

"I won't regret loving her; this is the best time that has happened to me, but she called me her caretaker. Is that really who I am?" Lucas asked himself and shocked his head. "There must be a problem somewhere." He said this to himself while getting the ingredients ready. He wore his apro and lit the gas.

While Lucas started cooking, he heard a noise from the sitting room—a deep male voice that almost cut his heart.

"That must be her guest." He said that and walked down to check.

"I have for a long time missed you, Renee." Xavier is Renee's boyfriend and the son of her father's friend.

Xavier hugged Renee and kissed her on the lips.

" What!" Lucas spoke so slowly, with his hands in his mouth. He kept watching Xavier and Renee display their romantic moment in the sitting room, where she was just in her short skirt and a Polo.

"I would love to have your hands rub my body and keep kissing your lips." Renee said to Xavier, pointing at his lips with her thumb.
