As the new recruits were discussing, they noticed a bunch of hunters carrying what appeared to be the enchanted crystal ball. Despite the combined effort of at least Five hunters, the crystal was difficult to carry.

"Hunters?" Riley whispered to himself with excitement as he saw them walking in with the enchanted crystal. It was his first time seeing them.

They placed the enchanted crystal ball on an ancient table filled with magical runes in front of the new recruits and stepped back, taking their positions behind it.

The new recruits observed the hunters and the enormous crystal on the platform with bewilderment.

As they all stood there waiting for what's about to happen.

Suddenly a portal opened, all new recruits were surprised and excited to see a portal opening right before their eyes.

A man dressed in a long black robe, with long black hairs and with a black mustache. He glanced at everyone with no smile at all.

"The famous master duke, he used his teleportation ability to arrive here in the blink of an eye," one kid said, his eyes wide with shock.

"Master duke?" Riley whispered as he was shocked.

Master duke on the platform regarded the new recruits before clearing his throat and speaking.

"People of this great community," he began in a deep voice. "I am sure you all know why you are gathered here today. Today is the day you will be given your super abilities"

"Let's get to the reason why we are gathered, I will begin calling names. When your name is called, please come forward, touch the crystal, and concentrate. Is that understood?"

They all responded with excitement.

Master duke stretched his hand and a list was handed to him by one of his hunters. He glanced at the list and cleared his throat before continuing.

"Let us begin, Miller, come forward to get your super abilities!" Master duke announced.

Miller took a deep breath and stepped forward. He climbed the stage and approached the enchanted crystal ball, taking another deep breath and rubbing his palms together.

"Here goes nothing," Miller thought as he continued rubbing his palms before placing them on the crystal.

"Now listen, no matter what happens...do not take your hands off the enchanted crystal ball " master duke instructed with all seriousness.

"Understood sir," Miller responded.

Miller followed the command, closing his eyes and focusing calmly. As time passed, the new recruit below the stage witnessed the crystal beginning to glow brightly.

The green light from the crystal brightened the entire place, and a powerful energy surged through the air, pushing some recruits backward and causing others to shield their eyes.

"Now take your hands off!" Master duke instructed, Miller immediately took his hands off the crystal ball.

"Miller is now a shadow walker, he has the ability to move undetected and strike with accurate precision" master duke declared. Hearing this, Miller's eyes widened, and he jumped for joy.

"I told you I was special!" he shouted, leaping around, while the recruits applauded.

"From now you will be under my watch, I'll reach you, I'll mentor you in the right path ," master duke as he pat Miller by the shoulder.

"Here, put on this hunter uniform, you're now one of us" master duke said before handing over the uniform to Miller.

Miller put on the uniform. The moment he wore the uniform, he felt raw energy coursing through his veins, circulating throughout his body. The sensation was calming and invigorating.

"Woah, this is amazing," Miller said.

"The uniform is filled with mystical powers," master duke said.

Miller wanted to test his abilities, Miller swiftly moves faster than the normal human, he went behind master duke and went back to the front. The new recruits below watched in awe and began clapping.

"You are free to leave now, Miller! Next person please step forward! Jason!" Master duke announced.

Miller descended the platform and returned to his friend joyfully.

Jason approached the platform, trembling with nerves and drenched in sweat. A look of apprehension marked his face as he stood before the crystal.

"Please, place your hands on the crystal and concentrate," master duke instructed.

Jason exhaled deeply, slowly extended his hands to touch the enchanted crystal, and closed his eyes, focusing with all his might.

Unlike miller, whose crystal had glowed brilliantly, the crystal glowed yellow and calm.

The environment remained calm and quiet, with no significant energy fluctuations.

Master duke glared at the crystal, with no emotions.

"Jason, you now have the ability to think fast but I'm sorry your ability won't be needed on the battlefield, so you're not qualified to become a hunter!" Master duke's voice echoed throughout the compound.

"Loser" Laughter erupted among the students, and some began taunting Jason.

Jason lowered his head in embarrassment, wishing he could disappear.

Master duke gave Jason a list of books to read so he can grow, Jason accepted it slowly before leaving the platform. As he returned to his place, the other new recruits continued to mock him for not getting an ability used for combat.

"Shall we continue?" Master duke cleared his throat.

He resumed calling out names, and students quickly moved to the platform to receive their powers.

Most students received different abilities used for combat just like Miller. No one else received a non combat ability after Jason.

The ceremony continued until master duke finally called the name everyone had been waiting for.

"Akira, please come forward!" Master duke announced, and the crowd erupted in cheers and applause.

"Akira?, it's your turn" Riley said in shocked as he turned to the girl he just asked questions not quite long

Akira walked gracefully toward the platform. She had short black hair, she's Asian, and a doll-like, pretty face. Her appearance was captivating, leaving many of the boys in awe.

She comes from a powerful family renowned for their huge abilities. This background made everyone eager to see what ability she would get.
