“What?” Erin was shocked at how shameless he was.

“Just kidding.” He waved his hand nonchalantly. His gaze turned serious and he wrapped the towel around his waist tightly. His little brother had calmed down after the unexpected moment.

Swiftly, he stood up to leave.

Erin stopped him, “Where are you going?” Why was he just leaving after the intense moment they had? Didn't it matter to him? Shouldn't they iron it out?

“To my room. What more do you need?” He asked.

“Aren’t you going to attend to Eva?” Erin said, expecting him to just follow her out. She also wanted them to talk about what just happened but she couldn't bring herself to start the topic.

At her words, Ethan chuckled, “You are really something, Erin. You wanted to handle it on your own after I offered my help and you think you can get me to do your bidding?”

Erin was stumped by his words even though they set her off in the wrong mood, she couldn’t refute them. She was in the wrong.

“I am sorry. I made the wrong mov

Ethan sat back, taking in the men’s appearance with a calm expression. He was just silently trying to determine just how well he could carry out the mission. After all, it had been so long since he flirted with women. Erin was out of the way, so he wasn't constricted anymore. “Are you deaf?” The men barked at him, seeing how he had been quiet all along. However, Ethan had no iota of fear in his eyes. Even though these men looked bigger than him, behind their burly and big bodies were frail men who couldn't even tame their women. They had veins bulging in their body, but no atom of strength ran through those veins. Ethan stared at the ladies who were now up on their feet behind the men. They all had worried looks on their faces as they stared at him. They were all worried that their men would end up beating him up and they would only have themselves to blame. After all, they were the ones who actively stared and admired Ethan from afar, thereby, making their men angry. “Gentlemen

  • Taking Their Women

“There is no way you wouldn't want to marry me, Ethan!” Erin screamed, piercing through the silence in the car. Her face was twisted like a knot and he had never seen her so terrifying. “What do you mean? I never promised to do that!” He snapped at her. “I have never vowed my undying loyalty to you, why should I do that now?”“Because I have sacrificed so much to be by your side. I neglected my family, neglected my job just to live as your woman and yet, you still don't see that as anything.” She continued to scream with tears streaming down her eyes. Ethan could only purse his lips, knowing a large part of her words were true. Her job complications arose just from her clashing with the higher powers that tried to bring her down and he was also entangled with it. However, he never told her to stay away from her family. In fact, he never even spoke about her family with her. Neglecting her family was everything she did on her own but Ethan wasn't going to say that out loud because s

  • Let’s Get Married

Seeing Baron’s surrender, Ethan’s eyes dimmed in suspicion as he couldn't readily believe that this minister would easily relent. After all, he was proud and cocky. “Alright, start speaking.” He urged but before Baron could start, he spoke up again, “And if you dare lie to me, you are dead.”Baron frantically nodded, his eyes filled with too much fear to even lie and his first sentence shocked Ethan so well. “I wasn't the one who helped Genie out of prison.” Minister Baron began and Ethan quickly sat up in his seat, realizing it was about to get serious. “I only served as a connection between her and the other person. My only benefit was to come out of prison and become a minister again as a placeholder. This position isn't controlled by me, it’s for the benefit of that person.”Ethan was surprised at the outcome of things. No wonder Baron was a show-off. Empty people tend to make the loudest noise. “Who is this other person you are in contact with, huh? And what did Genie offer t

  • Dead Eyes

Even though Erin was visibly raging, Ethan sat down coolly staring at her with a blank gaze. He recalled how she had begged to be involved in the case, and yet, she let her emotions lead her. “You have ten seconds to leave, Erin. You are no longer involved in this.” He warned her. “Why?” She snapped, “First, you deceived me into thinking you wouldn't be coming and here you are. I brought you both here! If anyone should be taken out of this, it’s Mason, who stood up to leave abruptly. He ruined the whole thing before my family—”“I ordered him to do so…”“What?” She gasped. “You let your emotions rule over you, Erin. You are not fit for this.” Ethan waved his hand. “Leave before it’s too late.”However, it was obvious she wasn't ready to leave at all. Quickly, Ethan signaled Mason to get her out.“What will you do…hmmm…” Mason quickly covered her mouth, muffling her words. At the same time, he held her body together making her thrash, trying to get away from his grip but then, he wa

  • A Simple Note

One day later…Mason held Erin by the arm, walking her into the grand venue to greet her family for the night. He had a gift box in hand, looking very charming but then he had his eyes scanning the room. His glasses, which complemented his black tailored suit had tiny cameras on them, sending live feed of the event to Ethan. Mason gently scanned the hall but Minister Baron was nowhere to be seen. Though there were other government officials of his caliber in the event, no one seemed to be concerned about his absence. “Are you sure Baron is going to be here?” He asked Erin who clutched his hand rigidly. “Well, I don’t know.” She hissed. “We will have to find out.”Ever since Ethan switched up on her last minute, she had been gloomy. She thought she was going to show him off for once before the high society and her family but he was a step before her. Deep in her mind, she hoped Baron wouldn't even appear! Her grievance overshadowed her reasoning, her emotions rising to an all-time

  • Erin’s Happiness

Driving into his mansion, Ethan had his fingers on his chin, deep in thoughts. Getting to minister Baron would be a long walk especially when trying to get him involved in the scam case. Minister Baron had a lot of power on his side, one that definitely aided him in getting Genie out of prison. Fighting against such a man might be a lot of toll. Ethan had to strategize the perfect plan and not just go in rashly. But then he knew the minister would get news about Genie’s disappearance. Would it be soon and would he be able to trace it back to Ethan? As he got out of the car, he realized there was no way it could be traced back to him. After all, his men had done a clean job. He spotted Erin right outside the building looking very worried and he wanted to ignore her completely but then, as she quickly approached the car, he became concerned. “Ethan, Eva is not in the house.” She said, shocking him. “And why would you care?” He raised a brow, suspicion stirring in his mind. “Uhmmm…”
