Chapter 2: I can't adapt to this new world

It was just able to recover from the earlier trauma when it suddenly witnessed another traumatizing scene...something very unexpected.

As he fell backward earlier, its hand fell on something, something that was still warm but turning cold slowly...by every second. And when it spun his head to look backward, shock filled its eyes as his whole body stiffened.

There was so much blood and a familiar body lay unconscious in front of it...as if...it was no longer alive. But what shocked it... was not the blood or the body...but the face of that unknown identity.

As it extended its hand and lifted the head of that unknown creature, strange and foreign yet familiar memories started flooding into its head making him dizzy. As if...those memories were his, to begin with along with memories that did not belong to him.

It was suffering an immense pain in its head, it felt like it was going to die here with those memories floating in its head, a burning sensation filled its body, and its heart was thumping crazily as if it would explode any minute, those thumping sounds were making him unbearable to the immense pain... It was remembering everything.

After a while, his eyes filled with more than shock, it was fear. The body in front of it belongs to it. It was him...it was his body.

"I... Am I dead?" That question escaped his mouth while looking at the lifeless body which was covered in blood and unknown scars. It was the first time he felt so scared and helpless in his whole life.

He was just able to recover his memories. Thus, seeing his own body without any life and soul was the most traumatic experience for him. He felt like something was gathering in his heart, and the space around his heart stiffened.

Never in his life has he ever thought his end would be like this. However, what shocked him the most was probably the reason why he was alive even when his body was dropped lifeless in front of him, no answer could come to his mind. It's like...his mind was completely unaware of the following scenes and blank as to why this happened.

Yet he remembered something.

Just when he opened his eyes in this world, there was a weird voice that was speaking to him. But as he was confused and unknown to this land and the body, he ignored all the callings and voices that were calling.

He remembered everything, how he died and whose body was....everything was clear to him.

The fear that filled his heart a moment ago and the pain of separation from his family soon subsided. He was no longer upset now that he knew he was no longer in that world where he was only scorned and bullied, his newfound identity was far better than that of his past life.

[Congratulations: You have regained the memories of your past life along with your new identity memories. You Can now start your journey]

That voice...again?

"Who's speaking? Come out...I have many doubts, I wanna talk to you," Roug was desperately calling for that person to show up who was talking in that robotic manner to him.

He was desperate to know why he was here. It doesn't make sense that he was dead yet alive in the body of an ugly goblin.

[You are given a second chance in life, you have to live it to the fullest, and let everyone know that you are not weak]

That voice again.

Rough was seriously confused at the moment. Because nothing makes sense. Since he was electrified, shouldn't he be dead long ago? So why was he sucked into that hole?

"You didn't Isekai'd me, you straightly dropped me into this strange world, not even leaving the hope that I can return to my world, you dropped my body here with no soul residing inside. What am I supposed to do here? I don't even have a fucking clue about why I am given this chance."

Roug exploded, and all the anger that was buried in his heart burst out on that strange voice that seemed godly to him.

No matter how calm he was earlier, there was no way he was getting used to this world or this new identity of his...it makes no sense.

If there was a God after this deed, there's no way he had done him any good nor it was a blessing. He would say, it was a curse. And you all will know soon why it was a curse.

So his name was Jiro?

Still! It didn't make any sense that he was teleported to this world.

He was mad at the voice for choosing this place and this identity for him when he did not ask for it.

Life was already very difficult for him, and this second chance at life was no blessing to him. All this time he was hanging on to a thin thread and always feared he would fall.

But God...God had sent him into the frying pan straight out of that thin thread, it was annoying.

"Hey! However you are, stop giving me this information, I won't agree with your arrangements, send me back to my previous life, or at least give me a good life." Jiro was not ready to take this as his identity, he didn't want to be in this world.

If he agrees with that voice, what's the difference between his previous life and this life?

He was scorned and bullied in his previous life, this life was no different. He was trash in his last life and he is trash in this giving current life.

[Dear Host! You are trapped in the Illusionary Dungeon, If you want to survive, you have to break through this dungeon and leave this place safe and sound]

That voice again.

Jiro searched his surroundings but there was no suspicious person around. Now that he thinks about it, he recalls something very important.

Before coming to this strange world, he had read some sci-fi and fantasy novels based on male leading and female leading.

"When a female gets isekai'd in a fantasy world, she is always given a task to make the male lead fall for her and make everyone around her be her stepping stone to reach the height of the previous owner of that body." He was talking about what he had learned till now. And he didn't finish just there, he continued to speak.

"On the other hand, when a male gets isekai'd to another world, he's given a system to make himself the lord of that world. They always have the reputation as a king, the king's beloved son, or a demon lord. They all get the best. But me...Why am I so different?"

He calculated everything and recalled everything he had learned from a book. But a situation like this was nowhere to be recorded.

It was as if he was a new case or a victim of this unfair system.

He was upset, thinking about why the world was so unfair to him.

"I have heard that a mysterious Truck-Kun always appears and isekai the pitiful human beings into another world and gives them the best life. So why am I so unlucky? Not only I was bullied in my past life, but the same is happening here. Just like how Roug was always a loser in the original world, this Jiro is no different."

Jiro was having difficulty adapting to his new identity, he was attached to his previous identity as Roug, no matter how big of a loser he was there, he still had a warm family who was always there to support him wherever he faced any ill-treatment from the society and his friends, and classmates.

But here in this world, his family was no more than his enemies.

As a child born with no mana and strength, Jiro was always called trash and a loser, he was not given three meals in a day like others, and even a meal was impossible for him.

If a stranger was to see him, he might say Jiro is a three-year-old kid. But in reality, he was already an adult. He was malnourished, to the point his bones were coming out of his body and flesh was nowhere to be seen.

He was no more than bones and a ghost at most.

In this world, three days ago, Jiro was abandoned by his family and his village. A big crisis fell upon the village. And to save everyone and the village, everyone decided to sacrifice a living being to that monster.

For the people of the village, everyone was precious. If there was a more suitable person to take charge of this task, it was Jiro.

When he was sleeping in his fallen wood house three days ago on that cold night, the villages threw him into an underground hole, hoping to ward off that danger from their village.

Roug felt angry upon recalling what happened to this child.

But now that he was in that body and how the body was already soulless, what was he to do?

As he was thinking about how to convince that voice to send him back to his original life, his eyes fell on something...

"What's that? Why is it cracking?"
