My Shameless System Made Me A Goblin

It was just a fine day with nothing special. Roug had locked himself in the room while his mother was shouting from outside to open the door as it's been a long time since he had not come out. Well! He couldn't hear her no matter how much she screamed or called for him as the long and thick, soft headphones had covered his not-so-good ears completely.

He was busy, in his world, playing that so-called Video game that had separated him from the rest of the world but he was enjoying every bit of it.

Life had never been fair to him, it had always been unfair when it come to him, others were normal despite having the same body and structure while he was not as if he was some unique and ugly creature. Nonetheless, he felt inferior to them...

Sitting on his soft cushion iron chair, his fingers trail, those fat fingers were battling with the keyboard as his eyes were shifting from right to left at a fast speed, he had no time to spare or listen to anyone, he had himself completely immersed in the game.

Since life was unfair to him, he had no desire to prove his worth to the world, he would rather busy himself in a game that can satisfy him all the way and make him know his worth than live in this hellish world that only sees his flaws and not the real him.

He was playing the battle against his enemy who was mocking him for a long time despite not knowing how he looks or behaves in real life, it was true that the party was not aware of his original appearance, or else...Roug would have been mocked to death and that enemy of his would not spare him even if he was to die.

It was an international tournament in-game. Roug, who is known as Blood Sucker was playing against the second top player called Your Succumb. The person he was playing against was a sly fox and was even on the top second.

But Blood Sucker was no joke either as he ranked 1st in the whole three servers and was famous for his dangerous skills moves, he ended the battle between them with an ultra skill and won the world tournament.

Everyone was praising him for the ultra move that he played in the end and won the match, everyone was singing and praising him in the online comment section.

Roug was happy and his happiness knew no bounds, his heart was fluttering at the moment he felt like he would die any moment. Hearing so many compliments from his comrades when only scorning awaits him in the real world, he felt both happy and sad. With the tournament coming to an end, it was the end of his journey in this game as well.

Why?

Today was the last day for this game to run, after midnight, it was shutting down. The world game tournament was just an excuse meant to save this precious old game that has been running for the last five years.

Due to some unknown errors which were making the whole game experience worse, the developer came to a final decision that if they failed to detect the glitches until the tournament ends, they would shut down and erase the application from V Store and other platforms.

As much as he was happy to have won the tournament, he was sad and upset that his escapism had come to an end. From tomorrow on, he has to face the cruel real world which made him like this.

"Sigh! I have to find an alternative for my escapism, I can't face the real world yet", His voice had worried and so restrained, that he didn't want to think about seeing his friends or family who will only mock and scorn him.

As he was about to get up from the chair, he felt a little amount of current surging in his body. The moment he felt electrified, he retrieved his hand from the side of the chair immediately. Not knowing what it was he looked at the chair and took a careful look, just to find nothing.

He had locked himself inside his room for the last five days, he refused to come out and was playing nonstop on his computer, not even taking any rest because there was only a little time left before the game disappears, his computer was busy for the five days as well as he refused to come out from the game.

With how people had mocked him for the last twenty-seven years, he spent his whole life listening to others. No! They were not treating him well, instead, they threw sarcasm and mocked him whenever they got a chance, scorn him, and made him look like a predator.

He faded up with everything and chose to lock himself inside the four-wall room, Only doing what he likes and ignoring others.

He had exhausted the computer by overusing it for over twenty hours and now something started. The plug which was put inside the board started sending electric waves state to the object which could transfer heat and electricity around, his iron chair was one of the components.

Roug was unknown to everything.

Roug ignored it and tried getting up with his hands placed on both sides of the chair, just as the chair touched the flesh, the current entered his body, his flesh along with the bones started heating up and then started electrifying straight.

He had no time to react and now even his brain stopped giving him emergency signals. He couldn't even make a sound as his body untouched the ground and flew in the air at some distance from the ground, his body was now becoming charcoal in a slow process, but he could feel the pain as well...it was a hell to him.

Roug never thought that his end would come too soon or that he was dying...he was in the last stage of death.

"Is this the end of me?".

It was the end of everything for him. Before the Grim Riper could suck his soul out of his body, A big hole appeared before his eyes, the hole illuminated the entire room with a bright shine, his eyes which had already become charcoal could still see a thing or two, and the light was too bright that it was hurting his eyes.

It was too sudden and weird that a parallel door had opened before his eyes. Before his eyes shut down forever, the deep hole sucked his soul inside along with his entire body.

Roug thought his life came to an end, but it was not the end of him.

Just like when a human dies and he won't disappear completely from the world and would reincarnate or be reborn with a new body and identity, He was too...alive.

The sun glistened its sunrays on an unknown body found in a strange place, it was laying flat on the muddy ground without moving or making any movements or sounds as if it was no longer alive.

Some strange words rang in its head, but it was too confusing to distinguish any of the words.

It opened its eyes, and a scorching pain filled its whole body as if thousands of hot needles were being pricked into its hard rock body. After trying a lot, it opened its large size eyes, its sight was blurry, and an unknown place was detected.

Its pupil dialect left and right, where was it? It couldn't be confirmed.

Gathering all the energy it had, it moved its body and sat straight, the ground beneath it was wet and gooey....strange! Right?

As if the rain had just blessed him with its presence, everything was wet.

It searched its surroundings before it could even look at its body and condition, its head was throbbing with pain.

It was a strange place, there were trees around him with yellow and red color leaves, and the ground was wet with too much water that one would swim inside it, yet it was fine even on that ground...its body was floating in the mud.

After examining the surroundings, it finally had the time to look at itself. As its eyes fell on the ground, strange-looking dark green toes appeared, the nails on the toes had gone all black and had rotted to the core, and there was even an inflammation around the corner of the nails.

Then feet carrying those tiny toes were small...too small as if they belonged to some child.

After scanning through those feet, its eyes moved to the near sight and a round flat belly appeared, it was confused now.

All it could see was the dark green color which look filthy at the moment, maybe because there was no cleaning added, the color had become filthy.

Without any delay, it moved its eyes around and saw two tiny hands, as it sent commands to the brain, those hands moved...it was even more scared now. Without any delay, those hands touched its head.

Those tiny hands belong to it. It started panicking and touched its head...but after a short moment, it took a sigh of relief. Its whole body was covered in dark green color. But that didn't help it, what helped was its head...

After looking at the body and its structure, it realized that he has become a goblin. A green goblin which is not only ugly but was the ugliest creature.

But how did it know? Maybe it was just its guts telling it.

Its hands were still on its head. Unlike what it was actually, but it wasn't bald.

It's memories...it couldn't remember anything. About its present life, it had no idea where he was and how he had become an ugly creature.

Despite not having any memories, it could still tell what it was but about its identity, it wasn't sure.

As it lifted its head to look around, its eyes fell on something terrible, it was just able to recover from the small trauma, no...it was still confusing, and yet something as terrible as this fell before him, it witnessed a breathtaking scene once again. Its body started shaking...
