The next day, Thomas Easton sat in his office, laughing uncontrollably over a phone call, to the point of tears.

The other Easton relatives in the room were puzzled by his reaction.

"Thomas, what's so funny?" one asked.

"Don't just laugh; share with us too!" another chimed in.

"Did Daphne Easton run away at the last minute?" someone speculated.

Holding his stomach, Thomas replied, "Damn, I can't stop laughing. Daphne is such an idiot."

"What happened? Tell us!" the relatives urged, anxious like ants on a hot pan.

"That crazy woman had Isaiah Lowell, the useless guy, take her to Blue Horizon Real Estate on his electric scooter. She must be out of her mind," Thomas explained.

The office erupted into laughter at the news, finding the idea of Daphne arriving at a business meeting on an electric scooter preposterous.

"Can you imagine Blue Horizon taking her seriously after that?"

"She must have given up. If we couldn’t secure the deal, how could she?"

"Thomas, you played this well. Daphne is definitely out of the Easton family now, which means she'll miss out on the inheritance."

The younger relatives were in cahoots, none of them believing Daphne could pull it off. They were all ready to mock her failure.

"What if she tries to back out?" someone expressed concern.

Thomas coldly assured them, "Don't worry, I've got it covered. Just back me up when the time comes."

The relatives all agreed, eager to see Daphne ousted from the family and free of the embarrassment she brought them.

Meanwhile, at Blue Horizon Real Estate, Isaiah parked the scooter and reassured a nervous Daphne, "Don't worry, I've already spoken to my classmate. We just need to sign the contract."

Daphne didn't question Isaiah's classmate, though she wondered if a mere friendship could really secure such a significant deal.

"Your classmate isn’t just playing around, right?" she asked.

"Of course not. We're close friends," Isaiah replied confidently.

Feeling reassured by Isaiah's confidence, Daphne prepared herself for the meeting.

The conversation from the previous night, though not drastically changing their relationship, had eased some tensions.

Upon entering Blue Horizon's office, a receptionist approached Daphne, "Miss Easton, right? Please follow me."

Taken to the top floor in an elevator, Daphne's heart raced, sensing the possibility of success before even signing the contract.

Greeted by Matthew Martin, the project manager for the West City Project, Daphne was momentarily speechless. Matthew informed her that the boss was busy and unable to meet, but he would handle everything.

Daphne was stunned when Matthew presented her with the prepared contract, already signed on their end.

It was too good to be true – the contract was incredibly favorable for the Easton family, something no other real estate company would offer.

"Are you sure this isn’t a joke?" Daphne asked, overwhelmed by the situation.

Matthew handed her a pen, assuring her it was all serious, as per the boss's instructions.

Contract in hand, Daphne left Blue Horizon in a daze.

A sneaky onlooker, witnessing the scene, hurriedly called Thomas to inform him.

Thomas Easton, upon receiving the news, planned an immediate internal meeting to oust Daphne from the Easton family.

Isaiah, meeting Daphne outside, noticed her dazed expression and wondered if something had gone wrong.

"I signed the contract," Daphne said numbly.

"Why look so shell-shocked if you've signed it?" Isaiah asked, smiling.

For Daphne, the whole experience felt surreal, like a dream come true.

Her phone rang with a call from Thomas, who was evidently eager to see her fail.

"But he's bound to be disappointed," Isaiah commented.

"This is all thanks to you. Without you, our family would have been finished," Daphne gratefully acknowledged.

"Just keep this between us," Isaiah advised.

"Why?" Daphne asked, puzzled why Isaiah wouldn't want his role known, especially since it could improve his standing in the Easton family.

"You'll understand later," he replied.

Daphne nodded in agreement.

After Isaiah dropped her off at the Easton company and went to the small store, the shopkeeper and he exchanged knowing smiles.

The timing Isaiah had been waiting for had finally arrived.

In the Easton family's meeting room, all relatives gathered, ready to ridicule Daphne's anticipated failure.

"Who would've thought the boasting from yesterday would be exposed today. I really thought she had some skills."

"Daphne Easton, skilled? Impossible. The deal we couldn't clinch, how could she possibly manage it?"

"Thomas, while grandma hasn't arrived yet, I need to remind you, we must make Daphne Easton pay the price. We can't let her get away with this."

"Absolutely, we must seize this opportunity to drive Daphne and her family out of the Easton Family."

Relatives were chattering amongst themselves, but fell silent as soon as the matriarch of the Easton family entered the room.

The door to the meeting room opened, and Daphne Easton walked in.

"Daphne Easton, you haven't forgotten what you said yesterday, have you?" Thomas Easton couldn't wait and spoke before Daphne even sat down.

Daphne, with a calm demeanor, looked at Thomas and said, "Haven't forgotten what you said, have you?"

"Hahaha, of course not, but what does it matter? You didn't secure the deal, so whatever I said is irrelevant." Thomas Easton spoke smugly, confident from the information he had received that Daphne had failed. If she had succeeded, how could she possibly look so dispirited?

"Grandma, I've already clinched the deal and even signed the contract. Please, take a look." Daphne handed the contract to the elderly lady.

The Easton relatives were visibly stunned.

The matriarch of the Easton family also lifted her eyelids and said, "You've already signed the contract?"
