Stephen stared at her for a while, waiting for a response that seemed he wasn't going to get any time soon.

And that only got him pissed off even more

"Have you gone dumb all of a sudden?" He yelled at her.

"Don't you dare yell at me again you scumbag?" He was taken aback by the words that she just spat out of her mouth.

"And then, what is your business if I decide to go out on a vacation or do my thing how I want it?" She was as bold as a lion without a single trace of emotions in her eyes.

It was still difficult for him to believe that she could do something like this to him without a single trace of shame.

After living With this lady for three years, he did even seem to know her at all.

A groan escaped from the stranger's lips as he rose from the floor and turned around towards Evelyn.

"Who is this? And what are you doing here?'

"This is the boyfriend that I was telling you about. The one that I got married to so that my parents would stop telling me to get married." She replied.

All these years, he had always thought that Evelyn was royal to him and loved him and that was the only reason that she agreed to get married to him despite the hard truth

But here he was, hit by the reality of the truth that surrounded him all this but he was too blinded by the love that he had for her to notice.

"Now tell me. How long have you been cheating on me? And how dare you call me your boyfriend when we are married?" His heart was torn into shreds but she ignored her and turned towards the stranger.

"What do you care about? So you already know about the wedding dress right? Meet my new fiance." She raised the ring that was on her fingers to his surprise.

He got the message now. The fact that she was always coming back for work late, always complaining that she was tired at night, it was all because of that bald thing over there.

"So this is the Fool that you were talking about. Taking a good look at him now, he is even more wretched than I thought in the first place." Gerald added.

"I can't believe you Evelyn. I thought that you said that you love me so much to die for me. Is this how you profess your love? Where is your dignity?"

"Believe? Dignity. Don't you think that those words should be for the worst specimen of a man like you?"

"How long did you think that I would be able to look up to you? And you better apologize to Gerald? I guess you don't realize that he is very rich and powerful" She was saying but was hardly listening to a single word that she was saying anymore as he was trying to process the words that he just said.

"Are you really for real right now Evelyn?" He shot a stare at her.

"Yeah. Apologize to him right this instant." She reaffirmed her words.

Stephen gnashed his teeth, trying as much as he could to control his rising anger and at the same time, his hands were clenched.

Knowing that staying there for any more time was going to make him do something awful to her, he strolled off from the place and jumped on his bicycle.

As he rode, he could hardly think straight, and random thoughts ran through his mind almost immediately.

There was one place that he could go to now and that was to his father-in-law. He was the only one that had ever liked him in that house.

He rode faster than normal until he could see the suit his name before him

He stormed off from the bicycle and his feet swayed towards the door of the suite. But as he was about to step into the suite, water was sprinkled all over his body.

His eyes paired off for a moment as he was drenched to his skin. He gnashed his teeth with so much anger as he noticed that it was Karen, Evelyn's younger sister.

She hated him because she thought that he had bewitched her Beautiful sister into marrying.

Stephen stepped into the suite angry and he saw her running towards him.

"Oh my God. I am sorry about this." She apologized but he could already see the smile that swept off from her face swiftly.

"And what do you think this is? A joke?" He shot at her, not able to control his anger.

"What is going on here?" A familiar voice sprang out from the other end of the room. 

Of course, he already knew that it was no other person apart from his mother-in-law.

"What is going on here?" She Inquired

"I accidentally poured water on him just I don't know why she is making a big deal out of it." She retuStephen who was never there for that and completely ignored her statement

He was about to spit out the words from his mouth when the door made a cracking sound.

Evelyn walked into the place with her hands tied around his Newly found love and that agitated him even more than he was already

"Are you so shameless that you flaunt this thrash everywhere?"

"The fact that you got over the first doesn't mean that you are going to get away from this this time." Gerald shot back at him with much hate and irritation in his voice

"What is going on here?" She inquired, staring at everyone.

"Isn't it obvious? She is cheating and she is so shameless about it?"

"I don't get it. Cheating?"

"Puff." He was mind blown.

Though Stephen knew that he never liked him, he was taken aback by her sudden reply.

"Is cheating normalized now?" The word broke out from his lips.

"Wait! Evelyn, you haven't told him already?" She Inquired with a frown hanging on her face and the look that was hanging on her face said it all.

"Well, we are grateful for what you did for us when you came to the family but we no longer need you."

"We want a real man who is going to take the image of this company to the next height and all those qualities are in my dear Gerald here. In simple terms, we want a divorce." He added.

He could not believe the words that she just spat out from her mouth but even before he could get to make a reply, she brought an A4 paper and handed it over to him.

"Here. Is the divorce letter and a cheque of three million dollars. Take it and leave this family alone."

Stephen stared at her for a while. This was where everything that he had done for her went down the drain.

Even though he loved her, there was certainly no essence to keep someone who no longer loves you besides you.

"And what do you want now, to buy my soul?"

"That money is for me. Take it while you still have it and get away from my lady." Gerald spat out from his mouth, already getting irritated.

"Your lady?" Gerald replied.

He turned towards the paper and signed it. 

"It's done, Evelyn. This is what you have always wanted right? Hope you enjoy your life. And as for the money, I don't want it." He shot back at them and he turned around to leave but he felt a pulling Force on his shirt pushing him backwards.

"And I assure you that you are certainly going to regret this." He noted trying to hold back his emotions while they burst into laughter.

"Regret? The only one that is going through any regrets here is you." Tina burst out into laughter, clutching hard to her stomach.

"Hey, mister. You are not done yet?" Stephen was shocked as Gerald shot a stare at him.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" He Inquired.

"And that would be?"

"An apology of course for hitting me and I'm going to let that slide because of my dear Evelyn." He replied pushing her over to himself and kissing her on the forehead just to agitate him.

"To hell with you and your apology." He tricked off his hands and walked away from the suite.

"I'm going to make sure that I teach him a lesson." He smacked

Stephen walked outside for a while and even though he tended to act Strong, he was broken to his bones.

He had lost everything that was attached to his name all because of her.

As the son of the richest man in the city, he had everything that he wanted all under his control.

But right after he met her at college, he fell in love with her but his father already got someone else for him and when he refused, he rejected Stephen as his heir.

He thought that he was certainly going to come running up to him for sure but then he was determined to love his heart 

But it seemed that he was wrong. That year, he spent all his savings to establish the family business all because of his name, they have grown to the point that they were.

Only to reject him in the end.

A slight sigh escaped from his lips, trying to hold back as much as he could.

He heard a cell phone making a beeping sound almost immediately and at first, he wanted to ignore it but after multiple calls, he checked it out

It was a strange number and he wondered who he could be.

"I told you to deliver some goods to a high-ranking client and this is what I get? I am so disappointed and I can't take it anymore. You are fired." He finally announced.

His cell phone dropped to the floor but he didn't bother to even pick it up from the floor anymore.

He fell with it and sat down on the concrete seat on the sidewalk with his heart racing fast as though it was going to burst through.

He was stranded now without a single Sense of direction

But then, a car sped off and drew a stop before him. At the sight of the convoy, multiple people stopped, trying to catch a glimpse of it but Stephen was the least interested.

Just then, an elegant lady that made everyone 's jaws walk out of the car. The door was opened by a young man who could be no other than her bodyguard.

Her heels were the first to dig into the earth and two guards Walked beside her to protect her.

"What's going on here? Who could she be?" The voice of everyone began to draw Stephen back to the present as he looked so from a whole.

"Young Master." The lady knelt before him with a slight bow to the surprise of everyone.q
