Chapter 7
"Scram." "You have grown wings!" Jessica roared furiously, her face turning so red it looked like smoke was about to fume out of her ears. This was the first time! The first time Thomas—the weak ex-husband she always ordered around, who obeyed without complaint, even smiling while doing so—had ever spoken such cold, heartless words to her! And the worst part? It was in public! Humiliating her! Seeing Jessica hopping around like a child throwing a tantrum, Thomas scoffed and turned around to leave. But the moment she saw how he was ignoring her, Jessica felt like her chest was about to explode from the rage that had built up inside her. "You useless waste! Stop! Don't you dare leave me standing! I should be the one walking away, not you!" Hearing those words, Thomas smirked and stopped. Then, he slowly turned to look at Jessica—as if he were watching a child foolishly ordering an elder to jump to his death. "What do you want?" Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Jessica coldly said, "At Grandma's birthday party tomorrow, I will tell Grandma that I want to divorce you. From then on, we will no longer be together." "Okay, so?" "So... So... I hope you don't go rolling on the floor, begging for forgiveness, making a scene like a madman. And don’t worry, I will give you $2,000 to take care of yourself—lest you go jumping off a bridge from emotional damage." Jessica almost choked on her own words at Thomas’s lackadaisical response. She had expected him to tremble, for his expression to turn pale, for him to plead—but instead, he stood there completely unfazed, making her feel uneasy for the first time. "You think too much." Thomas sneered in disdain. Maybe, in Jessica’s deluded opinion, he would be the one jumping off a bridge. But in his opinion? Jessica would be the one jumping—once she learned his true identity. "Oh, please. We all know you're a waste. A waste down to the deepest part of your heart. Stop pretending like this doesn’t bother you." Jessica shot him a disgusted glare, hating how he was pretending to be unfazed. "Jessica, why are you bringing yourself down by exchanging words with this waste?" At this point, Rex, who had been impatiently waiting for Jessica, stepped forward arrogantly with his chin raised high. "Ignore him. He isn't even worthy of holding your shoes. Let's go to the fourth floor and pick a gift for Grandma." Saying so, he proudly took out his Gold membership card from his pocket and flipped it before Thomas as if taunting him that he could never have such a card. Seeing this, Thomas almost laughed out loud but held himself back, watching in amusement. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, babe. Let's hurry up then. I can't stand looking at this waste for much longer," Jessica said as she hugged Rex's arm intimately. Nodding proudly, Rex threw a look of disdain at Thomas and said, "Poverty-stricken man, there are a lot of cheap garbage items in the tourist area. You can pick any one of your choice there while I take your ex-wife to a more luxurious area. Don't worry, when I come back, I will pay the bills for you." With that, they burst out laughing, holding each other as they climbed to the second floor. "Childish." Thomas shook his head and smiled before following them, after all, there was only a single staircase leading to the upper floors. --- "Waste! What are you doing behind us? Get the hell out of here!" Jessica yelled with anger on her face. Why wouldn't she, when she discovered Thomas was shamelessly following them? "I didn't know this was your home," Thomas sneered with cold eyes. "You...!" Jessica choked on her anger as she heard those words. "Baby, don't waste your breath exchanging words with a shameless man like him. Let's keep going, and I'm sure at the third floor, he won't have the ability to follow us again, as only Silver members are allowed there," Rex said as he threw a disdainful look at Thomas before pulling Jessica away. Reaching the entrance leading to the third floor, there was a card-swiping pad on the door that only allowed people with membership cards to pass through. Reaching there, Rex took out his Gold membership card from his pocket and brushed it on the card slot.

Baldie Lowe stared at the man seated across from him in the dimly lit backroom of a nondescript San Francisco bar. The faint hum of the city’s nightlife filtered through the walls, but in here, the air was thick with tension. Baldie, a hulking figure with a shaved head and a reputation for ruthless deals in the city’s underground, felt his pulse quicken. The man before him—Thomas Tudor, known to most as a low-profile entrepreneur who’d married into a modest clan family and is useless and even got divorce and done dirty by his wife—was not what he seemed. “You’re sharper than you look, Lowe,” Thomas said, leaning back in his chair, his voice calm but laced with authority. His dark modest shirt was tailored but understated, a deliberate choice to avoid flaunting the wealth. “You must have thousands of questions right now.”Baldie’s throat tightened. He nodded, unable to speak. The Tudor family was a colossus—old money, global reach, with investments spanning tech, real estate, and shad

Chapter 88: Fired"Ms. Carter, right? One billion—I want to withdraw it right now. If you don't have enough cash here, you'd better call your superiors and get them to send it over now. I want cash." Thomas Tudor placed his Peregrine card in Ms. Carter's hand.In an instant, Ms. Carter was on the verge of tears. A billion dollars. It's true that a Peregrine card holder can choose to withdraw any amount at any branch, but I don't want that branch to be my branch. This is because I would have to take full responsibility for whatever happened in that case. Perhaps they won't just fire me for losing this Peregrine card holder. In fact, they might even kill me. I would be blacklisted from the finance industry from then on.In fact, Ms. Carter was even worried that they might simply kill her because of their fear of Thomas Tudor.Slap!Ms. Carter landed a slap on the manager's face. "Scram! You're fired! Get lost! Don't you dare to show up here again!"The branch head's furious roar attract

'What bad luck! Is the machine down? Or is there no more money in the machine?'“Sir, can you come over and take a look at this machine? Do you mean that it would've been fine if he killed my son since it was an emergency? Your family has to take responsibility for this. Your family will have to pay for Weston's medical fees.”Nonetheless, Yanna Blanca was reluctant to ruin her relationship with her sister. “How much do you want?”“30,000.” However, it seemed like Yanna Blanca had underestimated just how shameless her sister was.She asked for 30,000 dollars! He's the useless matrilocal son-in-law of the Jaymes family, Thomas Tudor.”In an instant, all the muscular men in the room were bent over in laughter.Thomas Tudor shrugged indifferently. “If you have nothing else, you can bring him out. Of course, those are his parents. If you want to bring them along too, you're welcome to do so. However, this is our room.
