Anthony nodded almost immediately to Georgina's brisk voice. “Okay. Thank you,” he said, stepping back to sit down.

Georgina smiled before starting to open the backpack, carefully pulling out the packed containers filled with food.

As she placed them down on the table, the odor of the well-cooked food wafted into the room, waltzing into their noses.

The nice aroma caused Anthony's stomach to growl again for the third time.

“Mmm… it smells nice,” Georgina exclaimed, nodding her head in approval as she pulled the cutlery attached.

“Sure! It seems I ordered from the right place,” Anthony said, nodding his head in agreement.

Georgina arranged the container in front of Anthony, “Here,” she said, “the jollof rice, the chicken, fried plantain, and one more thing….” She found out that the bag was still filled with something.

Grabbing it out, “the wine,” she added, pulling it out and placing it on the table. “You can start eating while I get you a wineglass.”

Sarah sighed and nodded. “Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for showing up.” Anthony replied dismissively. “That's not a problem.”He pulled out his phone and called a number. When the call was swiped from the other end, a calm but polite voice came out. “Hi, good morning, Mr. Anthony. You called so early. Is there anything I can help you with?” John, the manager, from the motor shop, asked.“Good morning. The Mazda 6 we bought from you earlier was hit by another car. So, I'd like to know if there's any way it can be swapped for a new one.”“Ahh!” John exclaimed from the other end of the call, shocked. “I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope no one was hurt,” he replied before adding. “So actually, yes, Mr. Anthony. The car can be swapped but some extra bucks would have to be paid.”Anthony sighed. “So, how much would that be?” John replied. “It depends, sir. Firstly, we will have to see how severe the damage is to the car. And secondly, the new car you intend to swap with that will also determine

Harry flinched. He quickly remembered how Anthony almost killed him at the time they met at the motor shop. As a result, he swallowed hard, and his shoulder dropped in fear.He couldn't say a word. Anthony went on, his eyes moving from Sarah's damaged car to Harry. “This car you just hit was given to her by the chairman of Almighty Anthony's Empire, and you must get it fixed, or else I'll put a call through to Liam, and you know what that means—possibly you're not going to get a solution to that problem you're dying to resolve.”Seeing both of them dressed so formally, Anthony could only guess they were heading to the company.Harry and Charlotte looked at each other in an instant and blinked, pondering how Anthony got to know that.Charlotte wanted to ask how he managed to know that but Harry placed his hand on her shoulder, stopping her. He knew the outcome if Charlotte made it known that Anthony got it right.“That'll ruin our plan,” Harry murmured, only for her to hear. “He might

“Your man?” Harry scorned. “Do you know who I am? I'll deal with him so much that he'll regret coming.”Truth be told, if Harry had known that Sarah actually called Anthony, he would have even scorned more than that and would have even laughed because it would be the funniest thing he had ever known.“You're a nobody!” Sarah challenged him, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “You can't do more than a dead rat. Just bluffing and do you think you can intimidate me with that? No, you can't.”Harry smirked and leaned against his car, his arms crossed and expression calm, devoid of fear. “You have called your man, haven't you?” He asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “I'll wait here for him to see what he can do.”He drew Charlotte closer to himself, but she tried to act stubborn. Her hand was plastered on the spot where Sarah had slapped her. “Let me be. She watched her slap me and you didn't do anything,” she protested.Harry let out a resigned sigh. “Please, I'm sorry. You know she's a

Sarah looked at the car that had collided with hers—a sleek, new Honda Fit—its front completely ruined from the impact. Her eyes narrowed as she tried to process the whole situation.Just then, a man stepped out of the car and Sarah was visibly shocked, her mouth opening as recognition dawned on her. “You?” She exclaimed, her eyes wide open.Followed next right after the man was Charlotte, her expression stern as she stepped feet on the ground. “You?” Charlotte's face twisted into a tight frown as she quickly recognized Sarah. She marched forward, scanning the car, and her heart sank as she realized the worth of the car in the market today. And the fact that it was a new one made her eyes grow wider. But instead of rendering an apology, Charlotte started, narrowing her eyes at Sarah. With a sneer, she said, “Are you blind?” She shot at her, “Who maneuvers that way? Or were you trying to show the whole world that you've got this cheap thing over her?” She kicked her leg against th

Sarah finished bathing at that moment. She stepped down the stairs, dressed in a beautiful yet casual olive-green jumpsuit that hugged her waist with a slim brown belt. Her bag was hung on her shoulder. As she headed outside toward where her car was parked, a familiar voice blurted out after her, causing her to pause and frown. “You came back home late last night and you're still going out again? What exactly are you going out to do?” She asked, her voice a hint of disgust.Sarah turned and looked at her. Sighing deeply and exasperatedly, she replied. “The last time I checked, I didn't think we had anything in common. So, why ask where I am going?” Grace's face turned red with anger. “Hey! I won't tolerate that any longer! If you're talking to me, talk to me with some respect! I'm your father's wife.” Sarah chuckled, shaking her head. “His mistress! That's who you are,” she retorted. “You can never take the place of my deceased mother in this house no matter how hard you try to f

Samantha turned to look at him and chuckled. “You're awake,” she said, sitting beside him. Placing a warm hand on Lawrence's shoulder, Samantha added. “It was our son.” Lawrence raised an eyebrow. “Anthony? He called?” Samantha nodded her head. “Yes, he did. I was discussing business and other stuff and I was excited he's catching up with everything.” Lawrence smiled, satisfied. He asked, his voice calm but low. “He didn't mention where he's having any difficulties?” “Not really, darling. With the way he sounded, it's assumed that he's getting every single thing perfectly.” Lawrence nodded, a hint of satisfaction in his eyes. “That's good to hear. Glad he's coping well.” Then he decided to tease, frowning dramatically. “So, you've been secretly talking with our son without inviting me. Hope you didn't gossip with him at my back.” Samantha grinned, amused by her husband's words. Shaking her head, she responded. “Actually, no. He requested to speak with you, but you're deep as
