"Master?" he whispered, looking at the two beings in confusion. "Who are you?"

The woman lifted her gaze and smiled at him. "Master, my name is Pilak. I was formed from the fusion of purple and yellow flames."

Alkan's eyes widened. "You're the silver fire?"

The woman nodded with a smile. Alkan inhaled sharply—her smile felt far too mischievous. He turned to the man, who had been silent all this time. "What's your name?"

The man looked up at him. "My name is Anino. I control shadow and darkness." He then raised his hand, releasing a mist-like shadow that swayed gently with the breeze. "I was formed when the silver fire purified my consciousness."

Alkan nodded, even though he had no memory of what they were talking about. However, he could sense that the two had no ill intentions, so he didn’t hesitate to ask, "Why have you taken human form?"

"To guide you in your training, Master," Anino answered. "This world is filled with pure energy, making it possible for us to take human form. You

After several minutes of struggling, Alkan finally gained control over the raging energy within him. The power flowed smoothly into his body, and the tension in his muscles disappeared. Soon, he opened his eyes—and the first thing he saw was pure darkness. He tensed. Quickly, he raised his hand and tried to summon his silver fire, but nothing came out."Master," Pilak greeted him. "You have successfully strengthened yourself. Congratulations!"He turned to the silver-haired woman and remembered that the two flames had taken human form. He looked up at Anino, who stood behind Pilak. The man nodded at him."Pilak, what happened? There's a bloodstain on your clothes," he asked.Pilak wiped the blood from the corner of her lips and smiled. "Don't worry, Master. The energy from the green crystal was simply too strong. It caught me off guard, and I wasn't prepared for it. But Anino helped me so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed by the wild energy."Anino exhaled sharply and muttered, "Pilak told yo

The group took Alkan out of the forest while he remained silent inside the net. His muscles were weak, as if the strength he had felt after consuming the crystals had been nothing more than a cruel joke. "Master, this is only a weak enchantment. Don’t worry. Once you get out of the net, your strength will return," Pilak reassured him through his mind. He sat up straight and absentmindedly rubbed his temple. "You startled me," he muttered. Pilak fell silent. He exhaled, glancing around at his surroundings. "There are many knights and mages in this group. Can you take them all down?" he asked in his mind. "Yes, Master. It would be easy to kill them all," Anino replied. The corner of Alkan’s lips twitched. "I didn’t say kill them—just put them to sleep for a while," he said before sighing. The group hadn’t done anything wrong to him, so he had no intention of making things difficult for them. Before long, they arrived at the first town on the border between the North and the

The man exhaled. "We were searching for crystals. But we didn’t expect that someone had already harvested them before us. We tried to track the being responsible, but it was as if they had vanished." He shook his head. "However, Kalbanal used the search as an excuse to carry out his plan to replace me. They abandoned me in the forest, hoping I’d be killed by the roaming monsters. "I did everything I could to escape, but just as I was about to leave the forest, I was spotted by the bear. If I hadn’t been alert, I would’ve ended up as its meal. Thank you, my friend, for saving me from that beast." Alkan narrowed his eyes. So that was why he had sensed something strange about the knight leader earlier. That wasn’t the real leader. He inhaled deeply and looked at Reto again. "I have a mission to complete, and I need your help," he said. Reto straightened up, meeting his gaze. "I will help you accomplish your mission—if you help me return to the palace before the impostor does."

Her eyes widened in shock, and she leaped from Anino’s arms, running away from him. Anino sighed and lifted his hand. Shadows emerged from his palm, capturing the defenseless Esmeralda. "Ah! No! Let me go!" she screamed. Alkan’s lips twitched when he saw the shadow lift Esmeralda off the ground. The woman floated in midair, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Anino, don’t toy with her," he said, his voice disinterested. Anino scoffed but obeyed, lowering Esmeralda back down. She frantically looked around, and the moment she saw Reto, more tears welled in her eyes. She immediately knelt. "Leader, forgive me! I don’t know how the prisoner escaped! I swear I don’t know! Please forgive me, Leader! I don’t want to lose my title as a mage!" Silence filled the air. Both Pilak and Anino glanced at Alkan, while Reto furrowed his brows. "What do you mean?" Reto asked Esmeralda. Esmeralda looked up and finally noticed Alkan sitting beside the grilled meat. For a moment, her min

Anino obeyed immediately. After landing, Reto informed them that he would enter the palace with Esmeralda as his witness. Alkan decided to wait for them at a tavern. "Let’s go," he said to Anino and Pilak. Since the two looked far too unusual, he told them to use illusions before heading to a tavern he had spotted earlier while flying. As they entered, a woman greeted them cheerfully. "Mister! What can I get you?" Alkan was slightly surprised to see so many people inside. Almost all of them were large, burly men carrying long, heavy swords strapped to their backs. He turned back to the smiling woman. "A table. Somewhere quiet where no one will bother me," he said, returning her smile. Her grin widened, and she led the three of them to the second floor. As he walked, Alkan discreetly spread his awareness throughout the tavern. He sensed no malicious intent from the rough-looking men. "Pilak, who are these people?" he asked in his mind. Pilak answered telep

It is a land filled with mystery and dark forces. The Bistik group is ready to serve you to the best of our abilities," he said, bowing. The other four also bowed before Alkan.Alkan nodded with a smile. From what he could see, this group possessed more than just strength. They waited for Reto at the tavern.By the time the sun had fully risen in the East, commotion erupted outside.Alkan saw the woman from earlier sigh.Ah.It seemed she was tired of dealing with troublesome individuals who only came to the tavern to cause trouble."Do you recognize the man outside? Reto sighed heavily. "Over the centuries, each king has only grown greedier for power. Now that someone is heading to the South, the king won’t miss the opportunity to claim that land." Alkan shook his head. Typical of kings throughout history. ... The sun’s rays were now level with the treetops when the group finally stopped flying. They hovered above the border between the West and the South. Ahead, Alkan could clearly see the vast desert stretching before them. "The desert is cold at night. It would be better to spend the night in the forest," he said before ordering Anino to lower everyone to the ground. They first searched for a safe place before Alkan restored the consciousness of the five Bistik members. "Ha! What is this place?" "Where are we?" "Who the hell put me to sleep?" "

With a snap of Anino's fingers, the giant scorpion in the distance collapsed. Reto only heard the ground shake, followed by silence. "Is it over?" he asked Anino in amazement. Anino nodded. His eyes widened. "You killed the scorpion with just a snap of your fingers?" he asked for confirmation. He couldn't believe it. When his group tried to cross the vast desert, nearly half of them were slain by a giant scorpion. Yet for Anino, killing the desert scorpion was as easy as blinking. Reto gasped. Who were these people? Who was Alkan, and why did such powerful individuals follow him? But despite his confusion, Reto decided not to ask any more questions. He knew that powerful beings always carried many secrets. Soon, Alkan returned with the Bistik group, carrying fresh meat. Blood still dripped from the carcasses they had slaughtered deep in the forest. "What happened?" Alkan asked as

It had been seven years since his family died in an accident. All of his parents’ assets had been passed down to him, but he was too lazy to manage everything. So, he decided to buy several hectares of land in Alegria to turn into a farm. He entrusted his most reliable staff to handle the companies left behind in the city. Just the other day, while negotiating with a landowner, a man suddenly called out to him. The man claimed to be a priest whom Alkan had saved from the Black Palace. But Alkan denied it, thinking the stranger was mentally unstable. Because of that weird encounter, he decided to postpone his land purchase. His assistant came running toward him. "Good day, Sir!" "Did something happen?" he asked, standing up. "The office in the city called. They said your travel documents for your flight to Europe have been proces

Her name was Matilda, one of the loyal followers of the ancient king. Since the first century, when the king fell into slumber, and up until Alkan’s time, the woman had remained faithfully by his side. She was also the one who set Alkan’s destiny in motion, leading him to this dimension. "Your ancestor was the descendant of the ancient king. He sent his own heir to another dimension to keep them safe from those who lusted after power." Matilda sighed. "At that time, not a day passed without blood spilling upon this land. When the ancient king learned that others sought to kill his only heir, he did not hesitate to use half of his power to open a portal to a world he believed would accept them." Alkan stared at the sleeping man. Time had not affected his appearance—in a single glance, one might mistake the ancient king for his older brother. "He tasked me with setting the fate of his descendant’s heir so they would one day return to this world—to save a land filled with conflic

The rain fell gently that day. The entire land was silent after the third region was consumed by fire. The rain had not stopped since that day, filling the witnesses of the gods’ and goddesses’ wrath with unease. But what everyone anticipated was the next move of the one who had dared to challenge the strongest beings in that world. "Master, there is still no movement from the first region," Asha reported. Alkan swung his sword slowly. At that moment, he was studying a new form of combat. He had discovered this mysterious technique from books salvaged from Ashura’s palace. After the palace burned, Asha’s serpents had found a secret door that remained untouched by the flames. She informed him, so he went to investigate and found an ancient library. It contained many old tools and battle techniques. According to Drako, they were from the first century—the era of the ancient king. Without hesitation, Alkan took everything and began studying them. "But a strange creature has been

Alkan nodded. "They never witnessed any movement in or out of the wasteland." He turned toward the third region. "And it seems there's an imposter among the ministers of Ashura’s palace." "What do you mean?" "No one should have known about the pit inside the wasteland unless they had planted a spy. But I rule the wasteland, and no one from the third region has infiltrated it. This can only mean… that minister is from the first region! We need to return—it’s a trap!" he declared, flying back to the third region. Just as Alkan suspected, the minister who first spoke at the meeting was an agent of the palace from the first region. Once he confirmed that Alkan was in the wasteland, he quickly signaled his allies stationed around the third region. A battalion stormed and took over Bendito, another army occupied Ashura, and the prince of the first region went to Celes to seize the queen. Whe

Alkan’s appearance never returned to the way it once was. His hair and eyes remained split in two colors. But that didn’t stop the monsters from recognizing him as their new master. With the council—once the pillar of the third region—gone, the highest-ranking officials of Bendito and the remaining leaders of Ashura’s palace decided to appoint Alkan as the ruler of the third region. He had no choice but to accept the position laid before him. Now, three regions of the world followed him: the wasteland, the third region, and the second region. Yet, despite having the power to command these territories, his concerns in the past few days had not disappeared. There had been no movement from the first region, which puzzled him. Based on the information he had gathered, the first region would never retreat unless they were planning something ominous. "Master, my serpents cannot enter the first region. There is a barrier repelling all monsters at the entrance. They tried to circle around,

"It has been millennia since I last saw you. You were just a small child then, but now, here you are, planning to slaughter the very beings who once nurtured you." Alkan clenched his fists at the words. "Nurtured?" He let out a dry laugh. "You stole my power and stripped me of my freedom in the name of the fairy kingdom. You murdered my parents. All you've ever done is ruin my life and the lives of the beings in Tribal!" A smile played on the anito’s lips. "Why wouldn’t we? The inhabitants of Tribal are nothing but weak creatures. A mere flick of our fingers, and your lives would vanish into the wind. Shouldn’t you be afraid of the council? And yet, what happened? You established three kingdoms and enslaved all the beings in Tribal. You made yourselves gods, but… before us, you are nothing more than an ant." "An ant?" Alkan laughed at the insult. "So that’s how you see Tribal?" His grin widened. "Why don’t you ask the gods and goddesses of the first region who the real ants are? Did

Even though he was wounded, the general refused to back down. One of his subordinates finally spoke up with concern. "General, we still have a battle later tonight." "Silence!" the general shouted, continuing his attack. Alkan dodged repeatedly, occasionally slashing the general’s face. By now, the general’s entire body was covered in bruises and wounds, and his blood wouldn’t stop dripping. Alkan’s brows furrowed. He had no time for this fight, so he decided to end it. We will strike at nightfall!" a man on a shining white horse declared. It was no ordinary horse. Its radiant body glowed under the sunlight. Alkan conjured a whirlwind mixed with water. Arelano narrowed his eyes and released shadows that engulfed the entire palace. But shadow manipulation was also one of Alkan’s abilities, so the darkness had no effect on him. He spread the four-colored flames from his feet, sending them across the furniture, up to the ceiling, until the entire palace was engulfed in fire. With the darkness dispelled, he saw sweat forming on Arelano’s face due to the heat. The corner of his lips curled. "Is that all you’ve got?" "Don't get ahead of yourself, mortal!" Arelano shouted, summoning two massive black wings on his back. They spread wide, creating a powerful gust of wind that extinguished the flames and once again covered the surroundings in darkness. Drako transformed into a dragon, while Asha turned into a serpent. The two worked together to defeat Arelano, while Alkan focused on casting a curse.
