"Urugas!" the name echoed throughout the place, spoken by Paltio's two friends who had mentioned the mysterious being.

"Who is Urugas?" Alita and Ron asked in unison, glancing at each other with curiosity.

Pax responded with his usual seriousness: "Urugas is our god, our god of darkness."

"That's right," Paltio added, crossing his arms with a mix of irritation and frustration. "The same one who sent all those shadow armies to attack the realms."

Alita turned to Jorl, the Pinkerton merchant, and asked: "Do you know him, Mr. Jorl?"

Jorl shook his head, adjusting the feather earrings in his ears. "Know Urugas? What kind of question is that, girl? No one sees him. This permit was granted by one of his many secretaries. We don't even know exactly who it was."

"I see..." Alita murmured, processing the information.

Paltio then interjected with a more direct question: "So, do you know where this Urugas lives?"

The merchant shook his head again, extending his hands as if to push the question a

Paltio firmly addressed the snakes: "Who's next?"Both Serugulas stared at him with blood-red eyes, glowing with murderous fury. Ready to attack, the snakes lunged toward him, opening their enormous mouths filled with sharp fangs. However, Paltio didn’t move an inch. He simply extended his hands forward, fingers pointed at them as if prepared to meet their charge head-on."Move, you fool!" Pax shouted, still recovering from the fall as he watched the snakes dangerously close in.But just as the two creatures passed by Paltio's sides, they were cleanly sliced, as if a knife had cut through hot butter. The halves of the Serugulas collapsed to the ground, perishing instantly."I can't believe that..." Pax muttered, incredulous at what he had just witnessed. The boy had barely moved his hands, and with a simple gesture, he had eliminated the snakes. "Those gloves must be the power behind all this," Pax thought, observing the green gloves still glowing intensely on Paltio's hands.Paltio,

"Something bad is happening here... Something told me so, but I don't know what it could be," Pax murmured to himself as he moved swiftly through the building. His analytical mind didn’t need further proof: he had picked up on the signs from the beginning. "No time to think—it's time to act. I must save that foolish prince from certain death. If I save him, he'll owe me one... Although surely he'll collect to save me from the Curchacos. Anyway, there’s no other choice—all for Lord Tejod."Pax began to move strategically through the building, checking room by room. However, everything seemed empty, with no trace of life or activity, until he entered a dark room where he found bones scattered across the floor. At first glance, they bore the shape of Lula, the elderly owner of the place."Those thieving snakes infiltrated this place and made it their nest," Pax deduced, observing the remains coldly. "I must hurry... But I already know what to do."He quickly returned to his room, retriev

  • 23.Bye-Bye, Roaches!

The queen let out a cry of anguish that echoed through the cave, though even she couldn't comprehend what was happening. An intense burning consumed her, an agony beyond explanation. In desperation, she began slamming herself against the cave walls, seeking relief from the torment. Finally opening her eyes, she saw something that ignited her fury: there on the ground lay the lower half of her body, where her stinger once resided. It was covered in a luminous green liquid, and from the rubble emerged a small figure coated in the same viscous fluid."You wretched brat!" the queen roared, her voice laced with hatred and disgust. "I thought you were dead! How dare you destroy my precious Curchacos nursery?"Paltio grimaced in revulsion as he attempted to wipe the green substance from his face and body. "Disgusting! This must be her blood... And now I'm covered in this stuff everywhere," he spat, trying to rid his mouth of the bitter taste.Golden observed the scene through his mental conne

Golden barked at Paltio, urgency lacing his voice."Paltio, move!" But the boy stood frozen, paralyzed by fear as he watched the queen's whip-like antenna lash toward him like a streak of dark lightning.Golden didn’t hesitate for a second. With a precise flick of his telekinesis, he yanked Paltio out of harm’s way just as the whip sliced through the air where he had been standing moments before. The boy hit the ground with a dull thud, shaking off his daze."Hey, kid!" Golden snapped, his tone sharp but tinged with concern. "Are you already cowering? Because if you are, remember your friends are counting on you... Unless, of course, you’ve already wet yourself from fright.""No! Of course not!" Paltio shot back, his cheeks flushing red with embarrassment and irritation. He paused, lowering his voice as he tried to explain. "It was just… I felt something strange when I saw that whip. Like some kind of connection—I don’t know..."Golden narrowed his eyes, studying him for a moment befo

"Those disgusting things are called Curchacos," Pax thought to himself."What are the Curchacos?" a voice asked."Ah, it’s you, Golden," Pax said."Well, it seems placing a psychic link solely with you was a good idea after all," Golden remarked."What exactly are these creatures we’re facing, Pax?""Well, the Curchacos are insect-like creatures, similar to cockroaches. They secrete a viscous substance that immobilizes their targets to capture prey destined to feed their queen. They operate like a hive, have six legs, red eyes full of fury, and antennae they use to communicate. Plus, they’re attracted to shiny objects. They’re small but incredibly strong.""That’s disgusting," Golden commented, wrinkling his nose. "It sounds like an abomination of nature, like the previous monsters.""It is," Pax replied gravely. "They were failed creations of my boss, Tejod.""And how do we defeat them?" Golden asked."The only way to stop them is by killing the queen. Without a queen, there are no C
