Chapter 5

Outside the camp, the group of people were currently arguing. 

"Let's pay for one night, we have enough money for all of us." Said a girl while looking around. It was pitch black all around, and she could only see one meter around her. They need to stand very close to see each other.

"We only have 81 coins, and if we pay for one night, we only have 11 coins left. What should we do tomorrow? We don't even have food." 

"We'll think about it tomorrow. Now we need to find a safe area first. According to the MMORPGs I've played before, the monsters will become more hostile and stronger at night. Not to mention that our visibility has dropped so much." A boy said with a solemn tone.

“AAahhhh.. Helppp!! Akhh!!” 

Bam! Bam!

Just when they were still hesitating, they heard a scream coming from nearby, before it became silent again. Their bodies turn cold instantly. What's the use of money when you lose your life? With this mindset, they paid for temporary residence and stormed into the camp.

Entering the central area, they saw Feng Yue stirring something in an iron pot. There was a smell of instant noodles in the air, and they swallowed silently. They haven't eaten all day. Now smelling the scent, their stomachs growl loudly.

Before they could say anything, Feng Yue turned his head to look at them, and said with a business smile. "A bowl of instant noodles, five coins, do you want to buy it?"

Seeing his handsome face smiling at them, the girls in their group were stunned. The girl's heart was instantly fluttered and filled with pink bubbles. They looked at him and nodded blankly.

Seeing their reaction, the boys suddenly got a little angry and said in a hostile tone, "We won't buy it, it's too expensive."

Feng Yue nodded, turned around, and ignored them. When the noodle was ready, he scooped out a bowl and slurped loudly before letting out a satisfied sigh after swallowing the noodles. Hearing the sound, they couldn't help swallowing.

One of the girls walked up to him and asked, "Brother, can I have a bowl? I haven't eaten all day."

She is confident that this man will give her a bowl because she is the prettiest girl in their school. But to her surprise, Feng yue said, "Okay, give me five coins, and I'll give you a bowl."

She was stunned and looked at him in disbelief. Before she could say anything, another girl said angrily, "Why are you so stingy? We should help each other in times of need. Giving us a bowl of noodles is no big deal."

"So, will you pay or not?" Feng Yue asked impatiently.

"We won't!" the girl snorted.

Feng Yue was so stunned by her hostility that he couldn't speak. He found these instant noodles after searching for the whole day, and it was impossible for him to give it to them for free.

"Since you don't want to buy it then forget it. I'll eat alone."

After he finished speaking, Feng Yue poured the remaining noodles into the bowl. But before he had time to eat, he saw a slender finger holding five copper coins in front of him.

"I'll buy your noodles." The man looked at the bowl of noodles and said.

Feng Yue took the coins and handed him the bowl. In less than five minutes, the man finished eating the noodles and handed back the empty bowl to Feng Yue.

After he finished eating, Feng Yue opened the campsite information.

“Someone bought a permanent residence?”

He opened the building function, and a transparent box appeared in front of him, filled with a list of buildings he could buy. He touched her chin, lost in thought.

“Since the barrier was free for 14 days, I should buy an important building first. Which one should I choose?”

Feng Yue looked at the Weapons and Armory, the Restaurant, the Mission Hall, and the General Goods shop. The General Goods Shop will sell potions, elixirs, and miscellaneous items. While Weapons and Armory will sell gears which is very important. 

After contemplating for a while, he finally chose Mission Hall. Mission hall will allow players to post or take missions and get rewards. It also allows him to hire an NPC. After pressing "Buy", he saw that his money was instantly reduced by 1,000 coins. 

He killed monsters for a whole day, and only earned 547 coins. Adding the money from the residence permit, the total was only 1.017 gold coins. After buying the mission hall, he only has 117 coins left. When he realized how poor he was at the moment, he cried until he couldn't shed his tears.

The next second, a new building appeared next to the farmland. As it was late at night, no one noticed a new building suddenly appearing. Feng Yue walked into the mission hall and posted a few missions. Although he has a lot of materials in his warehouse, most of them are high-grade materials.

After posting the missions, he has 27 copper coins left. He looked at his inventory and sighed. However, to make money, he has to get the basic materials first, and then make some low-level stuff, including inventory bags.

In Phantom Online, players can equip up to 10 Inventory Bags, allowing players to have more inventory slots along the way. Each slot can hold up to 99 identical items. The highest tier of inventory bags is the purple grade. White grade inventory bags have 6 slots, with 2 slots added to each grade, purple grade have 18 slots. 

So, if a player can equip 10 purple grade inventory bags, they will have a maximum of 180 slots. His inventory bag is a black grade item that he bought from an item mall store. Each has 30 slots. He was lucky to pick up his inventory bag along with his warehouse. Although he only keeps 30% of his items in the warehouse, this is a huge advantage for him. While the rest of it just disappeared.
