It was three hours until midnight. Today, Peter was finally going to propose to his lover Sophia and ask her to be his girlfriend. They had been friends for over two years now, and he felt it was time to make things official.

The bright, lively smile on his face made it clear just how excited he was about this decision. He was about to wrap up for the day when the harsh, grumbling voice of the manager rang out from behind him.

"Hey!" the voice growled. "Peter, what do you think you're doing?" the manager asked rudely.

"Uh... I'm about to close for the day, Boss. My shift is over," Peter replied with ease.

"Your shift is over only when I say so," the manager snarled. "You have one more package to deliver. Here's the address."

He threw a slightly squashed paper at him, as Peter picked it up slowly from the ground.

"The customer asked specifically for you. Maybe it's one of those rich women you fuck for a tip but I don't care. When you're done with that, then you can leave."

"Bu... but Boss, I have somewhere to be before 10 tonight," Peter replied, but the annoying frown he received in return left him no room for complaints.

"Do you want to keep this job or not?" the manager, whose name was Mr. Samson Addams, replied coldly.

"Yes, I do. I'm sorry, Boss. I'll... deliver it right away." Peter lowered his tone.

He grabbed his backpack along with the package and headed outside to get his bicycle for the last impromptu delivery of the day.

....

Peter Lawson was an ordinary poor student working as a delivery guy for a firm located miles away from school.

He worked multiple shifts to make ends meet and give his lover the lifestyle she had always demanded. He was in his second year at Primeton University, studying business, and would be graduating in two years.

However, Peter couldn't put his finger on it. It was quite strange that a customer would request for him specifically.

He knew he was professional at his job and always made sure to leave smiles on the faces of everyone he delivered to.

But that was it.

He had never shared any sort of intimate relationship with any customer, let alone exchanged names. So a customer requesting for his personal services left him deep in thought.

He kept riding regardless, and in few minutes reached the destination on the paper given to him earlier. Though still skeptical, he had to do his job.

Just then, he clutched the small box in his pocket and smiled warmly. Inside the box was a diamond ring he had spent all his salaries to purchase.

The ring was so expensive that he had to borrow money from Punch Walker, one of the money lenders at school, just to afford it.

He planned on gifting Sophia the diamond ring as a symbol of his love and at the same time propose to her.

When he reached the door, he tried to knock, but it was already open, which was odd.

"Does this customer want me to drop the package right inside the house?'' The thought lingered in his head as he pushed the slightly opened door wider.

"Hello?" he called softly, but there was no response.

The house looked quite expensive, though not overly so.

The furniture and paintings in the living area screamed luxury, but it was a decent home suitable for an average citizen.

From the look of things, the house seemed to have only two rooms besides the living room and kitchen.

Before he could take more steps forward, he started hearing sounds coming from one of the closed doors. He assumed the owner of the house must be inside, so he moved forward.

"Fuck yes, keep going... please don't stop..." a lady's moaning voice screamed from inside the room. "Ah, I'm gonna cum..."

"I'm going to fuck you so hard you won't be able to walk properly after tonight," a male voice followed, accompanied by a loud spank on the ass cheek.

Peter felt a sudden rush of disgust. Must be one of those perverts who loved strangers witnessing them fuck their women just to show dominance.

Why the hell would he want a delivery to his house knowing his woman was there? Peter was utterly disgusted but had no other choice.

If he failed to deliver this package, his rude manager would finally have a reason to fire him for good.

"Pa! Pa! Pa! Hello?" he knocked softly on the door. "Sir, it's the delivery guy. I have your package right here and need you to sign these papers before I go."

After three seconds of silence.

"Come inside!" the voice replied strongly as the moans and spanks grew even heavier. "Fuck! I'm your daddy? you little slut!"

Peter was stunned. This customer has definitely lost his damn mind. He wanted him to walk in and disrupt their privacy, seeing both of them naked?

He had seen a lot of crazy things since he started as a delivery guy, but this?... this was the height of it.

"Uh... sir, I don't think that would be appropriate or professional," Peter said shakily. "I'll just drop it on the table for you, sir."

"I said come inside or I'll report you to your manager for poor customer service." the man insisted, his voice harsh.

With a sigh that carried all his vulnerability, he pushed the door open.

Lying uncovered on the bed were two naked people, clearly having a good time. As he looked closer, something caught his eye.

That hair! He was not hallucinating, because he could recognize that golden blonde hair anywhere.

"Sophia?!" he gasped. "What the hell are you doing? Get away from her!" he screamed as he lunged forward, letting the package in his hands fall with a loud thud to the ground.

"Peter?" Sophia muttered, pretending to be shocked. "What are you doing here?"

She grabbed the sheets and wrapped them around her body as she stared at him with utmost disdain, still catching her breath from the last round.

"I should be asking you that," Peter fired back, his voice rising in anger. "What?... are you cheating on me?"

"Hahahaha!" the naked guy, now wearing his briefs laughed in mockery. "What does it look like, stupid?" he said as he flopped back on the bed beside Sophia, flaunting his abs.

Peter was left in utter disbelief. Of all the boys on campus, Sophia had chosen to be with Troy Williams—a notorious playboy and merciless bully who had put him through hell since his first year at Primeton University.

"After everything I've done for you..." Peter muttered, trembling. "after all the sacrifices I made just for you... this is how you choose to repay me? Of all people, you chose him?"

"Oh please!" Sophia finally snapped, no longer in pretense. "You don't deserve me, Peter. You never did," she said with a smug grin, her tone venomous.

"You think buying me those cheap flowers and ice creams would win me over?" she scoffed. "Never. Troy is more of a man than you'll ever be in your whole miserable life. Take a good look at that stunning Hermès bag on the table..." she pointed dramatically toward the shiny hermès birkin made of expensive crocodile leather.

"Can you afford to buy that without breaking a sweat? I know you, Peter. Your annual salary could barely feed you. What makes you think I should keep dating someone as worthless as you?"

The questions and harsh remarks left him broken. He never believed she harbored those thoughts about him after all these years together.

"I must applaud you, Peter Lawson," Troy began, an evil smile flickering on his face. "You're... a really good man. You've been with my Sophia for over what?... two years now? but not once have you touched her. You know the ecstasy I felt when I learned she was still a virgin? While I fucked her raw under my sheets, with my fat cock in that tight pussy?..."

Troy mocked seductively like a flirt, planting a kiss on Sophia's chest as Peter watched in rage.

Peter walked back into the auction hall and settled into his seat, pretending as though he hadn’t seen anything while the memory of what he had just witnessed continued replaying in his head. “Why would Helen hand that man an envelope with the company’s logo on it?” Peter asked himself. “Does this mean she’s the spy Valentina was talking about?” he wondered after catching Helen red-handed, handing a strange man a large brown envelope that clearly belonged to the company, judging by the official logo printed on it. Just as he was still thinking about it, Helen returned to the hall, her face completely normal, as if nothing had happened at all. When she sat down, Peter kept glancing at her from the corner of his eye before asking sarcastically, “Where have you been? A phone call couldn’t have possibly taken you this long.” He asked intentionally, wanting to see what excuse she would come up with. “Oh, I, uh... went to use the restroom afterward. I was really pressed,” Helen

  • Chapter 150 ~ Veronica Graham

"Lu... cia?" Catherine stammered, happiness surging through her at the sight of her remaining child, the very daughter she had mistreated since childhood. Catherine was in terrible shape. An utterly terrible shape. She looked old, far older than her actual age. Anyone who saw her would say she was a walking corpse. Perhaps even the dead looked better than she did. Her chest was severely emaciated, her skin pale, and her hair had been cut short. Her lips were dark, and her eyeballs appeared more prominent than they used to be. Those were some of the physical changes associated with cancer, but there had to be more to her condition than that. Judging by her appearance, something was terribly wrong. "Lucia, my child," Catherine whispered between jarggered breaths, stretching out a trembling hand toward her daughter. Lucia hesitated, contemplating whether she should even acknowledge those wrinkled hands reaching out to her. I mean, why should she? All her life, her mother had

Thomas, Margaret, and Peter sat together at the long dining table, enjoying a variety of dishes as the chefs and maids moved around them, serving food, pouring wine, and attending to their other duties. The atmosphere was filled with immense joy on that wonderful evening. However, beneath the happiness, jealousy had also found its way into the room. "So, Peter, I heard you secured the prime estate the company had been struggling to acquire. And you did it with your own money," Thomas said, initiating a conversation as the sound of cutlery clinking against plates filled the room. Peter paused for a moment and took a sip of chilled water to clear his throat before speaking. "Well, yeah, I did, but... it's not exactly my money," he said. "It's the allowance Oscar gives me every month. So, technically, the money belongs to you." "No, no," Thomas interrupted. "It's your money," he said, looking at Peter. "You've been deprived of twenty years with us. You deserve even more. Any mo

"What is it?" Peter asked, curious. "Is everything all right?" Lucia turned her gaze toward the window before speaking. "I'm fine, but as for my mother, I don't think she is." Peter looked bewildered. He looked confused. "What happened to your mother?" he asked. Lucia turned to face him, their eyes meeting as she began to explain. "I received a strange call from her the other day. She said she wanted me to visit her at the hospital and insisted it was urgent. I feel... I feel like something might be wrong with her," she said. "O—kay?" Peter stammered, waiting for her to say more, clearly expecting her to explain how she had responded to her mother's request. Lucia looked at him, understanding what he meant by his hesitant response. She sighed uncomfortably before speaking. "I didn't give her an answer, but I don't want to go." "What? Are you out of your mind?" Peter asked, stunned. "She's your mother, Lucia." "Was!" Lucia's voice boomed with annoyance, echoing through the em

  • Chapter 146 ~ Peacemaker

Everyone paused for a brief moment, finding the idea utterly ridiculous. "Peter Lawson, you can't even afford a decent outfit. What makes you think you can afford a nine-hundred-and-seventy-thousand-dollar Celestia Diamond Birkin?" Evelyn burst out laughing, prompting the other staff members to join in. Peter smiled. "How about... we make a deal?" he asked with a mischievous grin. "A deal?" Evelyn scoffed. "What deal could you possibly win against me? Have you forgotten how you always lost to me back in high school?" Peter remained quiet, choosing not to say anything foolish. He had a better idea. He would play dumb for as long as necessary, then use Evelyn's own words against her. "If I can buy this bag, you'll get down on both knees and beg for my forgiveness... for everything you've done to me since high school, including what you've done here today," Peter said, his expression turning stern. "Are you out of your damn mind?" Mr. Harrison snapped. "You want my girlfriend to k
