Aralynn ran blindly through the forest, her lungs burning and legs screaming but she refused to give up.

Unknown to her, she had been running in circles because every path or direction she took had been silently shaped, twisted and closed by Kael himself.

Kael moved with the wind, his eyes glowing faintly as he watched her silently and unseen.

Suddenly, Aralynn stumbled upon a dead root and her body hit the ground, torns digging into her skin.

“Arghhhhhh!” she screamed muffling, covering her mouth with her hand.

But then, she felt a sudden guah of wind pass through her skin and fresh skin lay where the bleeding wound was.

Aralynn's breath hitched, the monster was watching her. She stood up immediately, bolting into the forest.

“He is a monster!”

“A murderer!” she kept screaming in her mind refusing to stay with him.

Minutes passed into hours and slowly darkness was creeping in, Aralynn barely able to move her legs collapsed by a riverbank, the same one but she was too exhausted to notice.

“Finally home, little rabbit.” a voice said, calmly.

Aralynn snapped her head towards the voice and on a fallen tree across her sat Kael lazily watching her amused.

“I can watch and wait all night if you still wanna run,” he added.

“What do you want from me after murdering my father?” Aralynn snapped

“He paid what he owed.” Kael said simply.

“With his life?” Aralynn asked, her voice cracking.

“Debts are paid in blood,” he replied, flatly.

Aralynn staggered back.

“Then why am I still breathing?” she demanded.

Kael’s gaze darkened.

“Because you’re mine.” he whispered, his voice dangerously low.

Aralynn's breath hitched when she saw the look in his eyes, it wasn't love nor obsession.

It was absolute possession, so dangerous that it terrified her more than his wolf ever could.

Far from the forest, in a fallen castle scarred by Kael's wrath. Alpha Varrick appeared staggering inside.

“Who are you?” A guard blocked him.

“I want to meet your Alpha.” Varrick replied.

“That doesn't answer his question.” Another guard chipped in.

Alpha Varrick's eyes darkened from the disrespect but before he could cast a spell on them,

“What is going on here?” Korrah asked, emerging from inside the castle.

“He wants to see the Alpha.” One of the guards said.

“Who?” Korrah inquired

But before the guards could answer, Varrick stepped into Korrah’s view.

“Alpha Varrick,” Korrah bowed.

“You have to teach your subordinates better.” Varrick spat.

The guards bowed apologetically.

“Come in, Alpha Darian has been expecting you.” Korrah coaxed.

Without another word, Varrick followed Korrah inside.

Far above the earth, in a realm of supernaturals worshipped by the creatures on earth. Divine beings were always sent to balance the rule on earth and had once sent to eradicate gods on earth.

Nicklaus, the leader stood before them, his white armour glittering.

“I'm sure you all felt the ancient power of a god awakened.” Nicklaus said, his voice echoing.

The divine beings nodded in agreement.

“I called you here because I have found which god was that.” He continued.

“May we know who,” Elijah, a celestial being, asked.

“Oryxion.” Nicklaus replied.

The divine beings gasped in shock.

“Like the wolf of darkness?” Rebecca, an angel asked.

Nicklaus nodded without a word.

“If Oryxion is awake, the god of ruins lives.” Thobus, a celestial being pointed out.

“That can't be possible.”

“I was in charge of the ruins' descendants.” Elijah said.

“It is possible,”

“And it shows how bad you are in carrying out your responsibility.” Susan, an angel reprimanded him.

“Don't you..”

“His descendants were wiped out.” Nicklaus interrupted Elijah firmly.

“Then how is it possible?” Vani, a celestial being asked.

“He died with anger and rage under the full moon.” Nicklaus stated.

“He was reborn?!” Thobus gasped.

Nicklaus nodded,

The divine beings exchanged glances, fear crossing their hearts.

Reborn gods can't be killed even by divine beings and it wasn't even a normal god, it was a god that brings ruins and death.

“What are we supposed to do?” Vani queried.

“We find his weakness,” Nicklaus replied, calmly.

“A god of ruins will have a weakness?” Rebecca spat.

“He was killed with his lover on his wedding night,”

“So he must hunt for the killers and his lover.” Nicklaus explained.

“Then who are we looking for?” Thobus asked

“His lover.” Nickaus answered.

“And what are we to do when we find her,” Rebecca demanded.

“We offer the god a choice,” Nicklaus responded.

The divine beings stared at him perplexed.

“A choice?” Elijah repeated.

“His life or his lover's.” Nicklaus said, calmly.

Her hair fanned out like dark silk, her lips pale and her hands curled in delicate fists.Kael’s fingers traced the air above her, feeling the pulse of life returning, his void-black eyes reflecting the remnants of destruction around them.“Sleep,” he murmured, voice hoarse. “You need rest.”Slowly, he closed his eyes, his hands rising as shadows surged upward, forming jagged walls of black that spiraled toward the sky..Trees trembled, birds fell dead mid-flight, and the soil itself cracked beneath his influence. Each shadow escaping through him left him staggering, pain seared through his chest, lightning stabbing along his spine, his vision blurringThe barrier pulsed, a living thing shaped by his will but every pulse demanded

Aralynn’s fingers curled tighter around the hem of her dress. “Are you going to offer me my freedom,” she breathed. “Or not.” Nicklaus' chin lifted, he stretched his hands towards her and a blade appeared on his palm. It was beautiful in a cruel way, dark metal veined with silver light, humming faintly, as though alive. Power crawled along its edge, cold and suffocating. “You hesitate,” he observed softly. Aralynn stared at the short curved blade quietly. “What is that?” she demanded. “Your freedom,” he simply replied. Aralynn lifted her gaze towards him, eyebrows raised. Nicklaus smiled. “This will sever him from what he is. Strip the god from the flesh.” “It won't kill him,” she said, voice rigid. “He will sleep.” Nicklaus's gaze sharpened. “Powerless.” “And then?” she asked. “You will be free,” Nick

Light bled from her palms, raw and violent power that pulsed and exploded outward. Kael was already on his feet, grabbing her wrists. “Aralynn!” His voice cut through the chaos. The moment he touched her, the magic fought him. It slammed into his chest like a living thing, throwing him off his feet. Kael growled low, teeth bared as amber light flared in his eyes. “Stop fighting it.” “I’m not!” she sobbed.
