Kael stepped out from the bathroom bare chested. Only his waist was covered with animal skin in place of a towel. His damp hair slicked backwards, accentuating his handsome face.

His body was a creation of perfection. He moved into the room, and suddenly the door opened without a knock. A woman walked in. It was the female warrior he saved earlier.

Seeing him barely covered up, she startled. Her cheek flushed crimson with embarrassment. "I'm sorry..I'm sorry," She quickly turned with the plate of warm herbal tea steaming in his hand. "I didn't know you'll be out so quickly. Sorry I didn't knock before entering."

Kael observed her for some quiet moments. "It's alright."

Eleano, the female warrior hesitated at the door, her back still turned on Kael. Her skin was flawless under the golden glow of the wall lantern. The animal skin wrapped her chest tight, pumping the upper part of her bossom like balloon.

And her legs were Immaculate, as though it was stepping on the ground for the very first time.

A perfect definition of 'skin like milk.'

She's a beauty, and a warrior skilled with bows.

But Kael's gaze didn't linger on her.

She'd invited Kael over to show her gratitude after he saved her life from Scarface and his men.

Without turning, she said with a voice full of gratitude.

"Thank you for saving my life," She said. "You gave me a second chance to live. How do you want me to pay you?"

Kael glanced in her direction, his brow lifted slightly. "I didn't save your life, Eleano," He said. "I merely did what was necessary so you owe me nothing."

Eleano, mildly shocked by his words turned. Her face is even more compelling under the amber light.

She gently set the plate on a table and stood straighter. "In our culture, whenever someone shows you kindness, we have to repay the person back with what he's satisfied with."

"Why?"

"We believe helps are from our god."

Kael chuckled, raising one brow. "You mean the Gull— gold?"

Eleano nodded.

Silence stretched between them for some seconds. Kael's expression looks thoughtful. Eleano eyes lingered on his ripped body for some seconds.

"So that means you king is going to repay me for saving his village from those men too?"

Eleano swallowed and nodded, quickly averting her eyes from him. "Yes," She nodded with a smile, glad the Kael was catching on. " Like i said, it is our culture here. The gods will be angry at us if we fail to return the favor."

"That's the rule of your god. I'm a supreme god. Even your god will worship me. I don't need anything. And even I'm to have a rethink about collecting something from you, what can you possibly offer?"

The question hung in the air like a challenge, stretched by the distance between the two.

Kael's eyes locked on her, a slight amusing smirk at the corner of his lips. "That's what I think," He broke the silence seeing Eleano dumbfounded. "I don't anything from anyone."

"How about me." Eleano clipped, blunt.

Kael wanted to turn away when he froze to her words. He turned back to look at her as the room held its breath. Before he could break out from the shock, Eleano was already on him.

She pushed him into the bed, her lips tracing all edges of his lips. Kael froze in place, unsure of what to do.

Eleano's hand moved over his body, tracing his bare chest slowly like she was looking for a lost treasure on a map. Her hormone heightened, and she leaned deeper in the kiss.

The world seemed to void for the two.

Without withdrawing, Eleano untied her chest covering, leaving her two melons hanging mid-air— firm and succulent.

Something kicked under Kael. This wasn't him. It wasn't the god in him. It was the human in him— The blood rushing through Benjamin's vein. Dopamine kicked in.

Eleano felt the bulge. She smiled lightly, melting into his arms. The bed squealed under their weight.

Hormone overrides his earlier shock, and he reached out, pulling her closer into his arm, one of her melons dropping in his mouth. Eleanor body vibrated as a quiet sensational feeling stroke through her body.

At that moment, memories flashed in Kael's head. Faces. Aria. Her daughter. Serena..his wife..and him falling down from a bridge after a bullet lodged deep in his chest.

Before the act could go further, something chimed from a corner of the room.

Kael pushed her off gently but firmly. Eleano's cheek flushed. Her palm clapped over her face. She could hear her heart pounding hard as she covered herself up.

Kael pulled out a strange device from the pants pocket. It was a mobile phone, and glowing on it is was a number and a name— "My sweetheart."

Eleano walked up to him, her eyes narrowed on the phone strangely.

"What is that?"

"I think someone wants to speak with me." He mumbled, his finger hovering on the screen.

********

Back in Frostholm city, Serena's finger had mistakenly pressed on Benjamin's number mid-scrolling. Her face etched with lines of irritation instantly so she snapped the call.

"Why haven't I deleted this number." Her finger tapped the Screen frantically, wiping out Benjamin's number without any ounce of hesitation. To her, her husband....No...Ex-husband is gone. Dead. Maybe rotting away in the soil.

She executed Benjamin to protect her career. Smart Reinforcement.

She was running for the city mayor. Her party, DPF— 'dominion people's front' is thriving. Her connection with powerful men, political giants, puppet masters, and city movers is deepening, and she needs a man who could walk into that room with her. New status.

And Alejandro was that ideal man. Ex-mayor, CEO of AurumX. Old money and old hand in politics. His Connections had been opening doors for her. Benjamin, her husband... ex-husband would only drag her down to zero.

Divorcing him would escalate scandal to the media. Opposition parties would break her completely on the crack. She'd come this far to excel in her career. So as she thought, seeing her all her hard work ruined is worth taking a life for it.

She eliminated Benjamin silently. No scandal. No crack. Just clean job.

And that wasn't all. Her cruel scheme was just beginning. Sob stories for the media. Missing husband. Price for whoever finds him. Whoever finds the dead, actually.

It was all a traffic for her party.

His dead, her resssurection. At least, that was what she thought.

She didn't feel any lonely. She'd always been away, building a new life away from him. Now he was nothing but a dispose. A convenience to reinforce her political career.

Her phone buzzed into the silence.

Strange number.
