Very early the next day.

Thompson and Keren arrogantly walked into Paul's house.

“Where is Jacelyn? She should bring the documents. We don't want to be late for the meeting at Celestial Brand.”

Keren uttered, with pride evident in her tone.

Paul, who was seated in the sitting room, remained quiet.

“Jacelyn,” Thompson screamed.

Just then Clara approached and stood akimbo.

“You can't be screaming here. Do I have to remind you that this is not your house?”

“Whatever!” Thompson uttered.

Keren couldn't help but giggle. “You call this a house? If only you had enjoyed luxury for a day then you'll know better.”

Clara parted her lips slightly in readiness to utter a word but was interrupted by Jacelyn.

“Here is the contract, all the best.”

Jacelyn handed the contract to Thompson.

“It's a good thing that you are not stubborn. I might consider talking to grandpa to give you a job at the company even if it's just being a clerk.”

Thompson uttered with a sly smile.

Jacelyn was still battling with heartbreak but she remained calm.

Meanwhile, Francis who was in the kitchen overheard their conversation and quickly reached out to Silas via a call.

Silas answered the call and Francis gave him some orders to carry out.

After the call, Francis returned to the sitting room where he saw Clara, Paul and Jacelyn seated with their faces portraying sadness.

“Breakfast is ready,” Francis announced.

Clara sneered, “That is the only thing you are good at! Food! Food! Food!”

“Calm down Clara. It's too early for your drama, please.”

Paul pleaded.

“Hold it right there! Aren't you ashamed that your younger brother is running the family's company? Here you are waiting for the peanuts you get as a member of the family by month end.”

Clara spoke coldly.

“Don't transfer your aggression on Francis. He has no fault in all of this. Dad deserve some respect from you.”

Jacelyn said sternly.

Clara was shocked by Jacelyn’s tone.

“You've grown some nerves! If he was influential and wealthy, no one would deny you your right for filthy reasons.”

Clara angrily spoke and left for her room.

At Celestial Brand

At the reception, Thompson and Keren waited with smiles visible on their faces.

Suddenly, Tehilla approached them with a frown.

“You requested to see me! Who are you? Why are you here?”

“Calm down, miss. We are here to finalize the process concerning the deal Carlton just secured with Celestial Brand.”

Keren says politely.

Thompson added, “If you don't mind, can we meet Mister Silas Anthony.”

Just then, Silas who just arrived at work uttered as he approached them.

“I heard my name.”

Francis had briefed him earlier about their coming so he was prepared for them.

Tehilla explained all they told her to Silas.

Silas said coldly. “You have no business here. Jacelyn is in the best position to work on this deal.”

“You have to understand. Jacelyn had the duty to secure the contract but we are here to further the process. Jacelyn is no longer an employee at our company”

Keren said with an arched brow.

“It seems you don't understand. The new boss only considers Jacelyn as the owner of this deal. Since she is no longer an employee at your company, the signed contract has been rendered invalid. Celestial Brand will only work with Jacelyn.”

Silas pointed it out clearly.

“What do you mean?”

Keren asked with confusion evident in her voice.

“I don't have the whole time here. Get out of here now peacefully or I implore the security guards to throw you out.”

Silas warned.

Keren crossed her arms over her chest and bowed slightly. At this point all eyes were on them.

“Please hear me out. Jacelyn isn't in the right position to be here. I will handle everything better than her because of my wealth of experience. I will explain better if given the chance to meet with the new boss.”

Thompson wasn't ready to give up.

His words only angered Silas. He gestured to the security guards and they were before him in less than a minute.

“Throw them out!”

Silas ordered.

The guards quickly obeyed. They bundled Keren and Thompson and threw them out.

Outside the building, a faint voice was heard.

“Don't do this! You must be mistaking us for someone else.”

“Just one chance.”

Thompson and Keren yelled, hoping they get Silas' attention again but it didn't work.

With heavy heart, Keren and Thompson got into their car.

Thompson leaned on the seat as he thought of a way to fix things.

At that point, Keren cursed. “Jacelyn is a b**ch! Why must it be her? This only confirms that she's having an affair with the new boss.”

“If only I had my way…” Thompson whispered.

Few minutes later, they were back home.

“Grandpa! Things didn't go as expected.”

Thompson announced calmly.

With a sneer, grandpa asked. “What do you mean? Are you incompetent to sort little things out?”

Thompson was frightened but he gathered the courage to speak.

“Silas Anthony made it clear that if Jacelyn isn't an employee of the company, the signed contract is useless and meaningless. Only Jacelyn has business with Celestial Brand and not any of us.”

Thompson explained.

Grandpa widened his eyes in shock.

Thompson went on to explain all that happened up till when they were thrown out of the company.

Grandpa’s heart beat rate doubled. He was scared to lose such a juicy offer that would change his life for good.

He regretted relieving Jacelyn of her job and asking Thompson to take care of the deal.

“We'll visit Celestial Brand tomorrow to make them understand that things have changed in the workforce of our company. Today must be one of Mister Silas bad days.”

Keren said respectfully.

“You don't have to worry. I will ensure things are under control.”

Thompson said, faking a smile.

Grandpa Carl roared, “You fool! Consider yourself doomed and disowned if we lost this deal completely. Go and beg Jacelyn fast! Fix this now!”

For hours, Jacelyn remained in her room. Her eyes were swollen, an evidence that she had been crying. Francis went to the door, placed his head on it and said. “Jace, you’ve been in there for a long time. I understand how you feel but let me in. Other great opportunities will come again, your family do not worth your tears and worries.” Soon the door knob turned and Jacelyn allowed him in. “Francis, I feel terrible. Great opportunities? What opportunities can be greater than this one that I have lost with Celestial Brand and now, I am also jobless. My Mom will make life unbearable for me.” “I have heard enough, I’ll bring your food now or you have to divorce and marry one of the men your Mom wants for you.” Francis laughed. “Do I blame you? Of course not!” Jacelyn smiled and watched him leave the room. In a jiffy Francis was back with the tray containing her food. Slowly, she ate. Francis watched her closely. Inwardly he said. ‘For your tears and swollen eyes, your fami
