Elara was still struggling with the thoughts that were buried inside her mind, but with everything Adrian had said and how confident he looked, it was hard not to believe him.

She slowly returned her gaze to her father, hoping that he was going to take the file from Adrian.

Eventually, he did, and that turned to a moment of prayer for her.

She prayed fervently that Adrian had not come to joke with her father, mumbling her words.

She turned to look at him, and seeing that he had an unwavering smile that was laced with so much confidence, she took a deep breath, trying to regain her composure.

Slowly, Sir Gate opened the file, taking out the documents inside.

Then he looked at Adrian sternly before he began to read, his eyes zooming in on each word he picked.

As he glanced, the silence in the room lingered with thickening tension.

The Commander was still silent, hoping to get the exact meaning of what he had in mind.
