The auction continued, until comments began flooding in just as Bintang noticed Anya’s phone ringing nonstop.

Riiing! Riiing! Riiiiing!

“W-who are you contacting? Why does my phone keep ringing like this?” Anya swallowed hard. She had countless followers—an absolute nightmare. If Bintang did anything reckless, rumors about her would spread within a minute.

“Hahahaha! Keep raising it!” Bintang laughed as the bids continued to soar every second.

His face lit up with excitement, but soon a look of confusion appeared when he read the current highest bid—placed by Clara.

“Why is she bidding on the Life Jade? Whatever… that’s her problem for provoking me. Whoever has the money gets this precious jade.”

Bintang still didn’t realize that the auction he initiated on social media had already shaken Cloud City. In fact, an entire province was in an uproar over the auction of the Life Jade.

After all, who didn’t know what the Life Jade was?

Hearing the phone ring without end, Anya finally mustered her courage. Suppressing her irritation, she asked,

“What exactly are you doing with my phone?”

“The Life Jade should always be in the hands of those who truly need it. And once there’s no more of it left in this country, my mission will be complete.”

“Can I see it?”

Bintang nodded and handed the phone back.

“Help me choose the highest bidder while you’re at it. The auction ends in two hours. After that, deliver the jade to the winner.”

“Y-you want me to do it?!” The irritation she had just calmed down flared up again. Why should she personally deliver the result of an auction that wasn’t even hers?

“Just do it,” Zidan, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke.

Two hours later.

The auction closed, and Anya announced the final result.

“The highest bid is ten billion dollars. A transaction of this scale requires a third party to secure the exchange.”

Bintang fell silent for a moment, understanding how dangerous such a transaction could be without protection. He then spoke casually,

“Give my number to the winner. The transaction will take place at 4:00 a.m.”

“Y-you want to handle it yourself?! A-are you insane?!”

“Father, look at how naive he is! Does he even know how dangerous a transaction like this is?!”

“What my daughter said is correct,” Zidan added gravely.

“This deal is extremely dangerous. Without third-party protection, you might not come back alive.”

“You don’t need to worry about it. I’ll take my leave now.”

Bintang walked out of Zidan’s residence with a relaxed stride.

In the depths of the night, he continued walking until he reached the outskirts of Cloud City, where everything was eerily quiet.

“Since leaving that mansion, countless eyes have been watching me from afar… Looks like tonight’s transaction will be troublesome.”

Riiing! Riiiiing!

He answered the call.

“Sir, I’ve arrived at the location you specified. Where are you now?”

“I’ll be there shortly.”

He hung up and continued walking, soon spotting a group of men in black suits and several modern luxury cars blocking the road.

Without fear, Bintang walked toward a man sitting atop one of the cars, staring at him with a scrutinizing gaze.

“Sir, hand over the Life Jade, and I’ll pay the amount I offered.”

Bintang took out the Life Jade. The man examined it carefully, then nodded in satisfaction.

“It really is the Life Jade…”

“Where’s the money?” Bintang asked calmly.

Understanding it was his turn, the man swiftly produced a black card bearing the emblem of the National Bank.

“The card contains the exact amount I offered. Do you want to verify it?”

“No need.”

“He trusts it just like that? If I were someone else, wouldn’t he be easy to scam?” the man muttered, unaware Bintang could hear him.

“Just tell me the PIN. Then this transaction is complete.”

“The PIN is printed on the card—use the last four digits,” the man whispered.

Bintang put away the black card and glanced around. The man then said,

“This place isn’t safe. Let me give you a ride.”

Sensing something amiss himself, Bintang agreed. They hurried into a brand-new Ferrari model released in 2030.

Moments later—

“Where are you headed?”

HOOOONK!

“Damn it… looks like this deal isn’t going as smoothly as I thought.”

The man stepped out of the car and told Bintang to stay inside.

Seeing this, Bintang calmly said,

“Not everyone harbors bad intentions—but those who do will surely face consequences.”

He stepped out as well, standing beside the man named Aga.

“I told you to stay in the car! Why are you so insistent on coming out?!” Aga snapped angrily.

“Besides, the people you brought won’t be able to beat them.”

“A-are you looking down on us?!” One of Aga’s subordinates flared up, but Bintang casually pointed toward the convoy of large vehicles blocking the road.

“What do you want?”

“Hand over the money and the Life Jade, and you can leave without getting hurt!”

“Do you even know who we are?” Aga growled.

“Aga of the wealthiest family in the Western Eternal Province—we know you well. But this is Cloud City, a backwater town. What do we have to fear?”

“You know my name and still dare to rob me? Looks like you came well prepared!”

“If you won’t hand it over, then fine! Attack them!”

Instantly, a group of black-clad, masked men charged toward Bintang’s group, while Aga’s men moved to intercept them in the middle of the road.

Seeing this, Aga looked at Bintang seriously.

“They’re all skilled fighters. Don’t get involved!”

Letting out a long breath, Bintang simply nodded. But suddenly, a swift figure broke through the chaos.

Aga’s eyes widened in shock.

“S-so fast!”

Haaah!

Unfortunately for the attacker, Bintang’s reflexes were faster. He caught the incoming punch with his bare palm and twisted the man’s wrist violently, making the attacker’s eyes bulge in horror.

“Y-you…!”

Responding with a faint smile, Bintang suddenly noticed Nei entering the room. Seeing the three guests wearing ugly expressions, she immediately asked,“Did you offend them, sir?”“Just call me by my name. You are my people now,” Bintang replied calmly.“As for them, I’ll treat them exactly the way they treat me. Nei, there’s no need to be afraid of them.”“Understood, Bintang.”Nei returned to her duties. The crowd inside the Dragon Pill Association was so dense that everyone was completely occupied with their respective tasks. Not long after, three large men with thug-like faces entered the building. Can you show me the samples?”“Big brothers, please wait. Awan will bring them to you!”Awan placed two different pills on the table. Since another customer called for him, he quickly left the three large men, who now wore faint sm

“What does Young Master mean?” Mr. Diki was still confused.Hearing that, Bintang explained several details about his objective.“Buy all their shares. If possible, take over the companies entirely. “Are you throwing me out?”Bintang sneered, glancing at the two guards who were now preparing to drag him out of the company.“Why are you just standing there? Throw him out immediately!”“Y-Yes, Miss Kiana!”“And just who do you think you’re throwing out?”A middle-aged man suddenly spoke up. Kiana immediately put on a coquettish expression and greeted him eagerly.“CEO Teo, you’re finally here! Before we discuss purchasing land from other families, it would be better to kick this trash out first. He’s been haggling the whole time and even insulting Langit Corp!”Teo ignored Kiana’s words. He walked straight up to Bintang and immediately bowed his head.“Young Master Bintang, why didn’t you inform me before coming?”The two guards froze and looked at Kiana.
