The crowd gathered at the entrance whispered, and their eyes were glued to the scene. Their hearts tugged with slight intensity on their chest.

Not because they wanted to see who would win, but wanted to see how to F trash ranked tamer was going to be humiliated with so much ease

This way, it would send a signal to even lower trash rank not to mess with the higher class. This was a battle of supremacy between two distinct caste systems and the future of each would be decided in this fight.

"He really has a death wish, doesn't he?"

"Messing with Jarden? He'll be dead in no time, mark my words."

"Look at that pathetic excuse for a beast. My grandmother's pet mouse has more fight in it."

Their voices overlapped in a symphony of cruel anticipation. They pressed closer to the doorway, not wanting to miss the moment when the academy's most dangerous student turned the new trash into a bloody example for everyone else to learn from.

Some shook their heads with fake pity, others looked genuinely excited at the prospect of violence. A few students near the back were already placing bets on how long Patrick would last before Jarden's beast tore him apart.

"Ten seconds, tops."

"You're being generous. Five seconds and he'll be begging for mercy."

"Assuming he can still talk after the bear gets done with him."

Jarden cracked his knuckles slowly, each pop echoing through the training room like small explosions. His massive A-ranked armored bear let out a deafening roar that rattled the reinforced windows, its thick claws digging deep gouges into the stone floor.

The beast was a perfect reflection of its master's fury, ready to tear Patrick apart for the sheer audacity of ignoring them like they were invisible.

The pressure in the room was suffocating. Jarden's aura pressed outward like a physical wall, making even the B-ranked students take involuntary steps backward.

His eyes burned with the kind of rage that came from being publicly disrespected by someone who should have been cowering at his feet.

Jarden is ready to teach him a lesson that would leave permanent scars.

However, before he could give the command to attack, the heavy tension in the room suddenly shifted.

The crowd of students at the doorway parted like water, but not from fear this time. It was reverence, pure and automatic, the kind that came from seeing someone whose presence demanded respect without asking for it.

A girl walked right into their midst, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees.

She was stunning in a way that made people forget their own names. Her skin was flawless and smooth as milk, radiating a natural glow that made the dim training room feel brighter just from her being there.

She had long, flowing dark hair framed a delicate face that belonged on paintings, not walking around a beast academy covered in sweat and blood.

"What exactly is going on here?" she asked, her voice soft but carrying a weight that made everyone in the room straighten their backs.

Vera Vance.

She might look like a fragile porcelain doll with her gentle smile and stunning, pretty appearance that made her the most stunning girl in the entire school. But anyone with half a brain knew that her looks were the most deceptive thing about her.

Vera had just experienced a recent breakthrough with her beast, pushing her power to a level that made even senior students nervous. She was officially ranked among the top twenty performing students in the academy, which was terrifying enough on its own.

More importantly, she belonged to one of the top five families in the city.

Seeing her step into the room, Jarden's bloodthirsty demeanor melted off, and a smile playing on his lips. He could win two birds with one stone.

The veins bulging on his thick neck smoothed out, the murderous glint in his eyes softened, and the heavy, suffocating aura of his armored bear was quickly dialed back to something less likely to accidentally crush her delicate sensibilities.

Not wanting to look like a mindless bully in front of the academy's most prestigious beauty, Jarden quickly chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck like he was just a misunderstood saint who had been caught in an awkward situation.

"It's nothing serious, Vera," Jarden said, his voice dripping with fake politeness that made several students in the crowd roll their eyes. "This new kid and I just had a small misunderstanding. We wanted to do a little beast contest to settle a score, that's all."

Vera stopped walking, her delicate eyebrows raising slightly at his explanation.

Her bright eyes shifted from Jarden's towering A-class armored bear down to the small, unassuming gray cat sitting quietly by Patrick's feet.

Everyone in the academy already knew the rumors about the talentless trash who had somehow awakened an SSS dragon only to trade it away for a street cat and some evolvers. As far as the official academy records were concerned, Patrick had an E-class beast at best.

There was absolutely no comparison between the two beasts. One was a towering engine of destruction that could level buildings, and the other looked like it belonged in dirty sewers. chasing mice for scraps.

"A contest?" Vera asked, her tone carrying just enough doubt to make Jarden's confident smile twitch at the edges. "Between an A-class armored bear and... that?"

She gestured toward the cat with a graceful wave of her hand, not even trying to hide her skepticism.

"Is this true?" She turned to Patrick, already half expecting him to immediately deny.

Jarden kept his charming smile plastered on his face, but his eyes gleamed with cunning calculation. He thought Patrick would immediately back down. Everyone in the room thought that he would.

This was the perfect setup for Jarden. By framing it as a friendly contest instead of the brutal beating he had originally planned, he retains his self ego before Vera, showing that he wasn't just a mindless brute who attacked weaker students without cause.

At the same time, when Patrick inevitably surrendered out of fear and common sense, Patrick would be thoroughly embarrassed in front of the most beautiful girl in school. It was a flawless victory without having to throw a single punch or risk looking like a bully.

"Just a friendly demonstration of beast control," Jarden said smoothly, his voice oozing false reasonableness as he looked at Patrick with a challenging sneer. "Nothing dangerous. Isn't that right, new kid? Or are you going to back out now that things got a little more official?"

The crowd held their breath, waiting for the obvious conclusion.

Patrick would lower his head, mumble some excuse about not wanting to waste everyone's time, and slink out of the room with whatever dignity he had left.

It was the only sensible thing to do.

Instead, Patrick looked at Jarden with that same unreadable, stale expression that had been driving people crazy all morning. He didn't flinch or cower like everyone expected him to.

"I accept the challenge," Patrick responded, his voice calm and steady as a lake before a storm.

The entire room froze.

"How did the trash rank tamer possibly do that?" Ripples of shock ran through the hall in multiple waves. The whisper broke through the dead silence, echoing across the training hall and spreading like a wild fire. "That's impossible!""Did you see how many there were? Some of the little animals are still jerking, it's freaking surreal.""Look outside the windows!"The crowd erupted into chaos, voices crashing over each other as students pressed against the glass, staring at the courtyard where hundreds of birds lay scattered on the ground, all twitching in perfect synchronization."That radius has to be massive! I counted over a hundred animals!" Another member of the crowd added. They could barely speak properly, their brains refusing to process what they'd witnessed. Another member of the crowd commented, shaking their heads."At least, he had the audacity. Maybe if he could put more effort into his life, he would not be so pathetic!" Cold words after cold words rolled off from their lips and it didn't seem like they were going to be stopping any time soon. Their voices crashed over each other, downgrading Patrick and calling him useless with every breath. They pointed and laughed like he was performing the worst circus act they'd ever seen.Even Vera seemed disappointed. She barely showed it, keeping her face composed like someone from the top five families should. The whole crowd clamoured her into expectancy.Vera had also heard about Jarden's unique skill and also wanted to see it for herself, this was going to be the perfect opportunity. She nodded before turning over to Patrick and then to the crowd."There's no limits to what you and your beast can do. And there are no rules either. The only thing that you have to do to win the contest is to impress me!" She explained. The crowd erupted into a chorus of mocking laughter the moment Vera laid out the terms of the contest. Everyone knew this wasn't even a

Prince's hand shot out before Patrick even finished talking. The grin on his face stretched so wide it looked painful, tugging with greed and the possibility of a future. With the SSS class dragon beast, he could earn that amount of money in just a few days without even breaking a sweat. To Prince, this was perfect. He was walking away with an SSS class dragon beast, the ultimate symbol of power that would cement his place as the family's golden child forever. "I can't believe he actually did it, trading a dragon for a mangy cat!" The crowd gossips in light whispers, slight chuckles tore off through their lungs at irregular intervals."What did you expect from the talentless trash? He doesn't have the brains for real power anyway.""Honestly, it's probably for the best.
