Iris held Xavier's hand, her shoulders shaking as she continued to sob.The energy around her had begun to settle, but her Spirit Sight was still active. Through her tears, she caught another brief image. She saw the boy before her, standing before a group of elders, his head lowered as accusations of Xavier's death were thrown at him. She saw him being questioned, blamed for something he hadn't done, and punished despite his attempts to explain himself. The vision shifted and she saw him standing beside Rael. The two were talking with smiles as though sharing a moment from their past.Iris's eyes widened slightly as his name left her mouth quietly " Benjamin..." She remembered him now.He was one of the disciples who had become close to Rael. She had seen him around the servant quarters before, and she vaguely remembered hearing his name. Her gaze slowly shifted towards him.Benjamin was still standing near the wall, his face pale. He seemed unable to decide whether to approach her

Iris cried beside him."Xavier?" She screamed as she touched his cold cheek. Her fingers withdrew slightly, but she quickly reached for him again, as though refusing to accept what she had felt."Xavier, wake up." She shook his shoulder gently."You can't be sleeping here. Get up." She said not wanting to believe the reality. Her eyes moved over his face, searching for any sign that he was still alive."Brother, please..."Her voice cracked. She placed both hands against his chest, trying to feel his heartbeat. She waited, holding her breath, but nothing came."No. No, no..." More tears began streaming down her face.Iris lowered her head against Xavier's chest. For a long moment, she remained there, holding his hand as tears fell onto his clothes."Please come back..." Her voice grew weaker and was barely audible. In that moment, something inside her seemed to break. The purple light in her eyes suddenly intensified and suddenly a powerful wave of spiritual energy burst out of her bod

Iris didn't answer him.Her attention remained fixed on the scattered equipment near the furnace. She could feel the dark energy more clearly now, and she didn't want to lose the trail again. With a slight movement of her hand, the concealment veil around her body disappeared. The change was instant as her appearance returned to normal, and the pressure she had been suppressing spread through the small forge.Benjamin's eyes widened as he recognised her at once."F-Fourth Master!"He dropped to his knees so quickly that his hands touched the dusty floor."Please forgive me, Fourth Master. I didn't know it was you. I didn't mean to offend you."He lowered his head further, his voice filled with fear."Please don't take offence at my approach."Iris barely heard him as her mind was already elsewhere. She moved past him and approached the furnace, following the faint trace of dark energy. Her eyes settled on the scattered wooden boards. Something had happened here, and whatever it was, t

Iris remained seated in her room, staring at the place where the dark energy had disappeared, in her mind eye. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes again and probe deeper. This time, she didn't search the entire training ground. She focused on the exact spot where she had sensed the energy. As she did, a faint purple light spread across her eyes.Slowly, the surrounding auras became clearer. She could distinguish the cultivation traces left behind by the disciples who had trained there earlier. Beneath them, she found a few scattered remnants of the dark energy. She tried to follow them. The traces led away from the centre of the training grounds, towards the western pathway. However, they became weaker with every passing distance until she could no longer sense them.Iris opened her eyes. She had reached the limit of what she could discover tonight. What bothered her was that the energy didn't feel like something left behind during ordinary training. It was too dark and unusual.

Meanwhile, that same afternoon Thaddeus was walking through one of the sect's pathways, his hands folded behind his back.He had heard about Xavier's sudden disappearance, but he knew very little about what had happened.Xavier had been away from the sect ever since the day he had won the Inner Disciple Competition. He had only returned yesterday, yet he had disappeared again before Thaddeus could even meet him.He couldn't help wondering what had brought Xavier back so suddenly, and had caused him to leave without informing anyone.Deep down in his gut, he knew that something wasn't right. He couldn't explain it, but every instinct in his body was telling him that something serious had happened. He slowed his steps and looked towards the distant servant quarters. His thoughts drifted to his people.Benjamin, Old Gable, Gareth and the others. It had been a while since he last saw them. He had been busy preparing for the next stage of his plan, and deliberately kept his distance because

The news of Xavier's sudden disappearance had caused a stir throughout the sect, but no one initially thought of him as dead. The First Master had returned the previous evening after a long absence. Those who saw him remembered how tired and distracted he had looked. He had barely acknowledged the people waiting for him before heading straight to meet the elders. And now, since he was nowhere to be found, most believed he had left abruptly to continue his investigation. They wondered what he might have discovered that led to his departure. However that morning, the Inner Assembly Court was unusually quiet. The inner disciples had already been dismissed following the morning assembly, but the elders remained seated in their respective positions.Elder Baltimore was the first to break the silence."Has anyone found out where Xavier went after leaving the Sect?"The elders exchanged glances."No," Elder Ombre replied. "His attendants have questioned everyone who might have seen him, but n
