The tactical ropes hissed against the frozen asphalt as heavily armed soldiers slid down from the hovering military helicopters, their assault rifles locked and loaded with live rounds.

"Drop your weapons and step away from the loading bay!" an officer barked through a megaphone, his voice distorted by static as freezing sleet began spitting from the heavy purple clouds above. "Under Martial Law Decree 99-Delta, this facility and all contents are requisitioned by the Northern Defense Command. Any resistance will be met with immediate lethal force!"

Panic exploded across the remaining crowd of merchants and thugs. Men scrambled over one another, slipping on the rapidly icing concrete as they fled into the alleyways, terrified by the cold reality of military execution.

Ethan didn't run.

Standing in the center of the open warehouse doorway, illuminated by the blinding sweep of the helicopter searchlights, his expression remained carved from solid granite. In his previous life, he had spent these exact opening hours of the apocalypse cowering behind barricades while government units seized every scrap of survival gear, leaving ordinary citizens to freeze in the dark. He knew precisely how this played out: the military units confiscating these assets wouldn't distribute them to survivors—they would hoard them inside fortified government bunkers while letting the civilian population starve.

"Sir! The soldiers are securing the perimeter!" the liquidation broker screamed over the deafening roar of the helicopter rotors, his face drained of all color as he cowered behind the armored truck. "We're finished! They're going to arrest us or shoot us on sight!"

"They won't get the chance," Ethan said coldly.

He didn't step back into the street. Instead, he whirled around, stepping entirely inside the vast, cavernous interior of Warehouse B-12, surrounded by millions of dollars worth of V12 Cummins generators, military medical palettes, and towering stacks of vacuum-sealed grain.

At the threshold of the open doorway, the lead military officer hit the ground, boots slamming hard against the concrete as he raised his assault rifle directly at Ethan's back.

"Target sighted inside the restricted zone! Freeze or we open fire!" the officer roared, stepping past the loading bay threshold with three armed subordinates flanking him.

Ethan turned his head just enough to look the officer dead in the eye. A dark, predatory smile curved across his lips.

"Take it," Ethan whispered.

Before the soldiers could pull their triggers or squeeze off a warning burst, Ethan focused his mind with absolute, razor-sharp intensity.

Spatial Storage Dimension: Engage Maximum Absorption Protocol.

A blinding flash of electric-blue light erupted instantaneously from Ethan's pupils, sweeping outward in a violent, silent wave across the entire thirty-thousand-square-foot warehouse floor.

Whoosh!

It was not a physical wind, but a terrifying spatial anomaly that tore through the laws of physics. The moment the blue light washed over the massive industrial generators, they vanished into thin air without a single sound. The towering pallets of military-grade medical supplies millions of dollars in antibiotics, trauma kits, and blood plasma, dematerialized in a fraction of a second. The endless rows of vacuum-sealed grain vanished as if they had never existed.

In less than three seconds, an entire multi-million-dollar industrial warehouse was completely stripped down to bare, empty concrete.

The four advancing soldiers stopped dead in their tracks, their boots sliding across the empty floor as their eyes bulged in pure, unadulterated horror. The rifles in their hands suddenly pointed at an empty room. There were no generators. There were no medical supplies. There was nothing left except dust motes dancing in the harsh overhead lights.

"What... what the hell just happened?!" the lead officer shrieked, lowering his rifle in sheer disbelief, his brain struggling to comprehend how tens of thousands of tons of heavy machinery and cargo could vanish into thin air right before his eyes. "Where is the inventory?! Search the back rooms!"

"There are no back rooms, Captain," Ethan said, his voice echoing eerily off the bare concrete walls as he walked slowly toward them.

The officers spun around, trembling as they aimed their weapons at Ethan, but they were too late.

Deep inside the dark, infinite expanse of Ethan's ten-thousand-cubic-meter spatial storage dimension, all of the acquired resources settled neatly into absolute stasis, frozen forever in pristine, brand-new condition. His capacity gauge flared inside his vision: Current Utilization: 8,400 / 10,000 Cubic Meters. He still had room for two thousand more cubic meters of fuel, weapons, and high-end electronics.

"Arrest him!" the captain screamed, his voice cracking with hysterical panic. "He's a terrorist! Seize him right now!"

Two soldiers lunged forward, grabbing Ethan by his shoulders with brute force, slamming steel handcuffs onto his wrists. But Ethan didn't resist. He allowed them to drag him toward the open loading bay, knowing exactly what was coming next.

Outside, the heavy transport helicopter lowered its landing skid closer to the asphalt, preparing to deploy a secondary extraction team to secure the high-value suspect.

"Report to base!" the captain shouted into his shoulder radio, gripping Ethan tightly by the collar. "We secured the target, but the entire inventory is gone! Repeat, the warehouse is empty! We need an immediate transport code—"

Before the captain could finish his sentence, the ground beneath their feet violently shuddered.

A low, subterranean rumble like a giant tearing apart the crust of the earth, ripped through the industrial district. The heavy steel streetlamps flickered wildly, and the sky above suddenly fractured into a blinding, spiderweb pattern of violent violet lightning.

The helicopter hovering overhead lurched sideways, its engine screaming as an unnatural, freezing shockwave slammed into the rotor blades.

The captain froze, dropping his radio as he stared out toward the horizon.

Far in the distance, where the southern skyline met the edge of the city, a towering wall of absolute blackness and swirling blue ice—hundreds of feet high, moving faster than the speed of sound—was swallowing entire skyscrapers whole in a single heartbeat.

Ethan looked at the paralyzed captain, smiled calmly, and whispered, "The real apocalypse just arrived."

The parasitic in-laws had finally tracked the decoy security grid of his secondary estate, walking right into the exact kill-zone trap he had laid out for them before the freeze. But with the mountain bunker failing and tons of snow sealing the exit, every second wasted meant risking his primary stasis inventory.Beside him, Vera pushed herself up from the concrete rubble, wiping soot and blood from her cheek. She stepped forward from the shadows, lifting her tactical visor just enough to reveal a striking, razor-sharp face framed by midnight-black hair, her cold gray eyes locked directly onto his chest. "Or I turn your heart into red mist before you can blink."Ethan didn't drop the weapon. His expression remained a mask of frozen granite, though his mind raced at maximum velocity. In the previous timeline, this woman—Vera Sterling, the ruthless field commander of the Syndicate—had operated entirely in the shadows during the first year of the apocalypse, slowly building a monopoly on military munitions before seizing control of the entire eastern sector. She shouldn't have been anywhere near this regional armory on day one. Her presence h

The steel handcuffs binding his wrists felt like brittle twigs against his superhuman strength.
