Chapter 01

At the edge of a steep cliff, a man with a sturdy and muscular body stood.

He had long red hair and a very firm face. His gaze was directed forward, where eight people were pointing their weapons at him.

"Kane, surrender and hand over the Eternal Crimson martial arts book that you found in the immortal ancestral land!"

"That's right, Kane, rather than letting that martial arts book disappear with you in death, it's better to hand it over to us!"

Hearing those demands, the man named Kane grinned widely. He looked at the eight people in front of him with a murderous gaze.

"It seems that you all forgot who I am in this World...!" Kane said in a faint tone.

The energy within his body erupted violently and the pressure spread widely, causing the eight people to put on serious expressions.

"Impossible... How can you still release spiritual energy from your body?!"

"We already poisoned you with silver sunflower poison, how are you still alive?!"

Kane heard that and grinned widely. Blood came out from his mouth and his body instantly shone brightly.

The eyes of the eight people widened before one of them shouted loudly. "Everyone, retreat!"

However, that shout was useless because the light within Kane's body had already reached its limit.

Kane looked at all of them and said lightly. "Let's die together, you bastards!"

The cliff was instantly destroyed and the clothes worn by Kane turned into tiny fragments, then fell into the bottom of the steep ravine.

The fate of the eight people who had ambushed Kane was unknown, whether they were still alive or already dead.

Within the thick darkness, Kane seemed to be floating together with a red book bearing a lion emblem.

Not long after, the book opened and light enveloped the entire dark area, even covering the unconscious Kane who was floating there.

To be precise, on top of a school building, a seventeen-year-old young man was lying down.

He was wearing shabby clothes and several patches of dust along with tears could be seen clearly.

This young man's body was very thin without any muscles and he wore black-framed glasses.

His entire clothes and body were wet as if someone had poured water on him.

This young man's eyes were closed and his body temperature seemed to be cooling down before sunlight struck his body.

The light that had previously been covered by clouds now dazzled the young man's entire body.

The young man opened his eyes wide, before narrowing them again to adjust to the surrounding light.

"Where am I?" He muttered softly, before placing his hand on his forehead.

Several memories entered his mind and this made him realize something, causing him to gasp.

"So I took over a weak child who became the victim of ridicule from an entire school." The young man said while grinning widely.

This young man's name was Vergo Faranza, he was a bookworm. Every day, he read books in the library.

That was what made him become the victim of abuse by his classmates. He continued to suffer until he could no longer endure the abuse and died on the rooftop of the school building.

It was quite tragic and Vergo died right after the abuse ended. Those students had already gone downstairs, without realizing that he had already passed away.

But now, the soul occupying Vergo's body was Kane. A martial arts expert fighter who came from another world.

He replaced Vergo's original soul, so Kane had to start over from the beginning once again.

"Rest in peace there, I will avenge the grudge that you have!" Kane said to Vergo himself.

Not long after, a feeling of relief became very clear. Kane felt that his soul had now completely merged with his body.

"I will use the name Vergo, as for Kane... That name only existed in another world and died there!"

"A new life and everything must be new." Vergo said softly, then he observed his skinny body.

He shook his head. "Honestly, this body is truly trash. I never expected that I would become weak."

"I have to rebuild my foundation and continue my training toward immortality! I remember that the realm of immortality is another realm and it is difficult to reach."

"First, I have to go home first." Vergo said softly, he saw that it was already late afternoon which made him stand up immediately.

He walked down the stairs unsteadily. He was not surprised at all, no matter what, his physique was quite weak so it was unable to fully support him.

Not long after, Vergo reached his classroom. He saw his bag lying on top of the desk and the classroom atmosphere itself was quiet.

There was nothing that could be done, it was already dismissal time and all the students had left the school, only he had not gone home yet.

However, Vergo did not care. He took the bag lying inside the classroom, then left the classroom.
