"Fufu... how cute. So he's a human soul reincarnated into a little kitten?"

The voice drifted as lightly as a spring breeze, yet held the crystal-clear chime of striking silver bells.

At an altitude far beyond the reach of the naked eye, high above the gray clouds blanketing the Thousand Monster Forest, a woman reclined against the empty air.

Her long blue hair cascaded freely, catching the sunlight like an expanse of frozen glaciers. She covered her lips with the silk sleeve of her gown, stifling a giggle until a small tear gathered at the corner of her golden eyes.

Qinglan.

It was a name that would make even the strongest beings on the continent bow their heads in trembling fear.

As a True Ice Dragon, she was the very incarnation of a winter storm. With a single snap of her fingers, the entire forest below could be reduced to a sculpture of eternal ice.

However, boredom with her routine in the northern icy wastes had driven her here. She kept her aura suppressed, locking the absolute frost beneath her alabaster skin to keep the fragile creatures of this forest from accidentally freezing to death.

And now, her boredom had paid off. Her sapphire-blue gaze pierced through the thick clouds, locking dead onto a white tiger cub that was desperately wolfing down roasted mutton faster than its little jaws could handle.

"Eat slowly. The mindless monsters around there wouldn't dare steal your food," Qinglan murmured, her voice laced with amusement.

A few seconds later, however, her eyes narrowed. Her long lashes fluttered as her brows nearly knit together. The amused smile faded from her face, replaced by a sharp, piercing curiosity.

"Hmm? Something isn't right."

Qinglan's dragon eyes saw more than just the physical realm; they perceived the flow of life essence and nourishment through all things in the universe. As the mutton entered Ren's tiny stomach, she witnessed a phenomenon that defied the laws of nature.

A piece of meat that should have yielded only a single drop of spiritual energy suddenly surged within the cub's belly. The energy bloomed, expanding and multiplying in an instant until it was ten times as dense.

"The nourishment from that mutton shouldn't be this potent," Qinglan whispered to herself. She tapped her fingertips lightly against the empty air, conjuring tiny ice crystals that melted away in seconds. "One becomes ten? Interesting. Could that be a part of his reincarnation gift? Or is there a secret hidden within that little soul that even I cannot see?"

As an ancient being with thousands of years of wisdom, it was exceedingly rare for her to encounter a puzzle she couldn't solve at first glance.

The fact that she couldn't fully comprehend what was happening inside Ren only sparked a fresh wave of excitement in her chest.

"Now this is getting interesting. In that case... let's see just how much that tiny stomach can hold."

Qinglan raised a hand. The gesture was casual, but the air around her instantly trembled with violent force.

Far below, miles away from Ren's position, an armor-plated spiritual ox, a beast three times the size of the sheep, was violently yanked into the air.

The massive ox didn't even have time to let out a panicked bellow before a vortex of pale-blue flames erupted from the void, brutally engulfing its body.

These were no ordinary flames. It was a blaze of extreme frost, burning at impossible temperatures. In less than five seconds, the ox's armored hide melted away.

The meat cooked straight through to the bone marrow, releasing an intensely rich, savory aroma that swept across the forest.

With a flick of her wrist, Qinglan sent the gigantic roasted ox plummeting down like a meteor. It sheared through the canopies of giant trees and landed with a deafening crash.

*BAM!*

The ox crashed down just three paces away from the mutton Ren was chewing. The impact sent a mild tremor through the earth, kicking up a cloud of dust and dried leaves.

Simultaneously, a residual wave of Qinglan's draconic pressure swept across the area for a fraction of a second.

The high-tier monsters lurking in the forest's shadows, which had been creeping forward, lured by the scent of roasted meat, instantly froze in their tracks.

Their survival instincts screamed. Without a second thought, the packs of shadow wolves, horned bears, and venomous leopards fled in a blind panic, scrambling away from the area as if they had just witnessed the descent of the Grim Reaper.

Now, the clearing was deathly silent. Not a single creature dared to draw near.

Above the clouds, Qinglan rested her chin in her hand.

She smiled down at the white tiger cub, who was now frozen stiff, staring wide-eyed at the mountain of roasted beef in front of him.

"Eat up, little kitten. Show me what else you can do."
