New maid

{1st POV, Ethan}

When I entered the room all my aunts were already there. Staring at Alizée with curious expressions, it was not every day they encounters an oriental dragon. After they noticed my presence they turned to look at me. I followed their gaze and found them glancing at my horns. 

'So they are checking my horns..'

I thought in my mind.

"So, how do I look?"

I asked about their opinions.

"Hehe, you look more handsome now. Before you were more like pretty boy~"

Nuri was the first one to speak her mind with a smirk. 

"Giggle~ you are right Nuri, now he looks more manly and strong. Before he looked so innocent I wanted to eat him whole~"

Following right, after she was Ehecatl who again teased me while giggling.

"Okay okay! Don't trouble him anymore. He must have come to visit the girl."

Apep weaved her hand to stop both Nuri and Ehecatl from teasing me further. 

"By the way, they look good on you."

Apep praises me afterwards while Leviathan silently nods in approval. She is not too talkative, so it was acceptable. She is standing behind Apep as of now. Apep is like the big sister here, so more or less everyone listens to her words. Although it would seem only Nuri and Leviathan has some problems getting along as they stare daggers at each other more often than not. Ehecatl gets along with everyone. 

"Ugh.."

As we proceed to talk with each other at some time Alizée regained consciousness and groaned. Bringing my attention back at her.

Soon her eyes open, she has confusion written all over her face. Why wouldn't be, she has been teleported here without any prior notice?

She began looking left and right, trying to understand her surroundings when her gaze landed on my figure. Her eyes widened in surprise followed by relief and under everyone's bewildered gaze she bounces over me and began sobbing.

"Thank God you are fine. I thought just like my mother you too got hurt because of me."

She said between her sobbings while hugging tighter. 

I was still stunned by her courage to perform such bold moves. In the game, she was never this touchy nor proactive but the opposite; she was extremely shy and hard to take with. The protagonist indeed made her fall without much trouble, however, taking the final step with her was a lot of effort, you had to wait for a long time for her to cope with her embarrassment.

"Huh..? When did I got hurt? I was never hurt in the first place! you watched how I killed them without much effort."

I asked her with clear confusion in my voice. 

'How did she even reach that outcome..?'

Just when I was pondering whether something was wrong with her head or not she spoke again.

"Huh! What do you mean? I perfectly saw you coughing blood from your mouth."

Now, she is the one staring at me in a confused way. Like she still can't believe that I am fine.

'Ahh, she was talking about the blood!'

Now I understand why she thought I was hurt.

"Don't worry I'm absolutely fine. That blood was just impurities of my body." 

I cleared her doubts and released a chuckle, she was just worried about me. It is kind of sweet.

"Really? So you are not hurt?"

She frowned, even after my assurance she had her doubts. Grabbing hold of me she began to inspect every nook and cranny of my body trying to find any sign of wounds. Honestly, it was pretty cute.

"Ho-ho~now-now~ girl slow down a little~"

Watching everything transpire in front of her eyes. Ehecatl couldn't take it anymore and decided to poke her nose.

Coming between me and Alizée she pulled her by the hands. 

"Aren't you a brave you~ you sure can act fast~"

Ehecatl spoke to Alizée with a sly smile plastered on her lips. Moving closer to Alizée's face she began whispering.

"You are nagging at him like you are his wife or something. Are trying to seduce him~"

She whispered the last phase close to Alizée ears and blow a hot stream.

Alizée was caught off guard, at the heat of the moment of she didn't think about the consequences of her actions. She was only concerned about my well being however, her gestures made others think otherwise.

"I-I-I...n-never w-wanted to d-d-do something like that.."

Realising the meaning behind Ehecatl's words, Alizée stuttered and her face turned red in shame. Her concern for me made her look like she was attempting to get close to me. She was never this embarrassed all her life. For a shy and introverted person, it was too much for her to deal with.

"Yeah, you are behaving like a new wife. Nice effort girl but it will not be so simple~"

Nuri pulled my head in her bosom and snickered at Alizée. Declaring to Alizée, she had to go through her before having any ideas about me. Making the girl hide her face with her hands out of embarrassment.

'She is too cute~'

I thought inwardly. 

'Still there too possessive..!'

The others also had a slight frown, hinting they too weren't liking Alizée's particular activities. They also didn't stop Ehecatl from intervening, showing their silent agreement.  

"Now.. now, let's get some work done, shall we?"

Trying to change the ambiguous atmosphere Tiamat started speaking, her words stopped the duo's silly games and allowed Alizée some time to breathe.

Looking at the azure haired girl, Yes, a girl from her point of view. Tiamat face turned serious.

"Let me introduce myself, I'm the dragon queen Tiamat, and they are my four daughters. Over there the one who saved you is my grandson Ethan."

'It would seem, she chose to reveal our status first before interrogating Alizée huh.. a good choice to make her intimidate!'

As I assumed Alizée was too dumbfounded by her words, The dragon queen is akin to God respected by all the denizens, living in the sea of stars.

Alizée quickly moved to kneel but was stopped by Tiamat with her space magic, binding her body.

"You don't have to do that. It's already too late for such courtesies."

Saying that she proceeded with her questioning.

"What is your name? and do you know who your father is?"

She inquired while narrowing her eyes at Alizée.

Alizée shook her head with disappointment. She said with some sadness.

"My name is Alizée, and no I don't know my father as I never saw him. Mother just said he died before I was born, she never told me anything related to him."

Tiamat nodded, she didn't ask her more and let her be. She can probably guess what might have happened with her father.

"So you didn't know he was a true dragon?"

Tiamat spoke again after some time.

This time Alizée was very surprised, her mother had no idea her father was a true dragon. Dragon's are the sovereigns of this land and a true dragon is one of the noblest existence and her father was one of them. It must sound outrageous to her.

"Impossible! true dragons can reach the imperial stage. Then how can he die?"

Alizée protested in denial, for most people the imperial stage is the highest one could reach. Ordinary people can rarely reach the master stage, so a monarch is just a legend for most people. Small tribes and independent forces not living under Tiamat's rule and not affiliated with the four kingdoms can barely achieve the expert stage. 

So it was a very big revelation for Alizée. She would require a lot of time to get used to such facts.

"Humph..anybody can die other than the goddesses, So tell me how will explain what happened with you a while back. What do you think it was?"

Tiamat retorted and this time she didn't have any answers. 

"Let me explain, what happened to you before was the awakening of your dragon bloodline..."

Tiamat went off to explain, how her dormant bloodline awakened and she is a hybrid oriental dragon with some random stuff about her lineage and what kind of powers she probably possess.

"So, what are you going to do now?"

After finishing her lesson Tiamat questions Alizée.

The latter contemplated for some time then shook her head.

"I..don't know, I was about to end my life when he suddenly came and saved me."

Saying that she stole a glance at me.

Tiamat nods, she had seen the situation Alizée was in before I got there to rescue her. She was probably simply occupied with trying to run away from her pursuers. 

"Whatever, you can choose what to do now that you are safe. You can live in any of their cities, your enemies will not dare to go come after you." 

She gave Alizée the option to choose what she wanted to do. 

Alizée however, much to everyone's dismay kneeled on the floor and asked Tiamat.

"Your majesty, I-I.. would..l-like to serve his highness as his servant. If you grant me this honour."

Her words made everyone gasp in astonishment. But, the next moment they quickly shut their lips and didn't make any comments.

"No! he doesn't need an attendant, I can take care of him myself."

Tiamat's cold and non-negotiable words riverbed through the room as everyone is keeping their quiet.

Still, Alizée tried to pursue her and replied.

"...Still, I know I can never possibly repay his favour. I wish to spend the rest of my life serving him to try repaying him for his life-saving grace."

"My answer is still no. Don't make me repeat my words, I was only allowing you to choose because Ethan saved you and I didn't want the person he the first person he defended to die."

Tiamat this time released her aura while speaking, making it hard for Alizée to breathe as she bore the pressure, yet she did stop kneeling. 

'This is bad..! If Tiamat makes a move I won't be able to save her..'

I tried to come up with some plans to let Alizée off the hook. When Apep said something I was truly not expecting.

"..Mother I think you should grant her wish.."

Others were equally taken aback by her words, glancing at her seeking an explanation. She ignored the stares and spoke again.

"He is growing older and you can't always take care of him."

She reasoned. Yet, her words didn't sound very convincing to Tiamat.

"Why can't I.."

"I also think Ethan should interact with more people. Especially, women in general. I think you understand what I mean mother.."

This time Nuri also supported Alizée and the others too nodded in approval.

This time Tiamat didn't say anything and contemplated with a frown. No one spoke anymore and gave her time to decide.

"Sigh.."

A few moments later she heaved a sigh and said.

"Alright, I agree. Still, do you know what to do?"

She started at Alizée, who had a delighted expression and inquired.

"Yes yes..! I worked as a maid before, I will do my best to fulfil my duties. I'm eternally grateful to your Majesty for approving my wish."

Saying that she gave Apep and Nuri a bow showing her gratitude. They likewise nodded in acknowledgement.

"Now that it is decided she will be serving Ethan from now on as his new maid with everything here settled, I think it's time for Ethan to get his affinity tested?"

Tiamat said and my aunts all gave a nod. Shifting her gaze she spoke to Alizée.

"You too come with me, your dragon bloodline changed your constitution, we have to check if you have the storm magic or not."

Alizée silently nodded her head in agreement. So we started going to where the test will happen.

We are now in a darkly lit and almost empty room with nothing, but a spherical transparent crystal orb resting on a wooden table.

"This ord is an item to test affinity, you just have to put some of your mana and it will turn them into colourful lights corresponding to your element."

Tiamat began to explain how this item works. Honestly, I already know its functions. This ord analyse your mana then compare it with various pre-programmed mana signatures installed inside it with an array. Then show you colourful lights matching your elements, for instance, if your affinity is the fire element the ord will glow red, water deep blue, earth brown etc. 

"So who wants to go first?"

After ending her explanation Tiamat inquired both of us.

"She can go first."

I decided to let Alizée go first. I still have some doubts to clear with the system.

"Alright, you just have to put your have above it and release a small amount of mana."

Tiamat advised Alizée as she walked closer to the orb. She nodded and put her hand, the orb sparkled for an instant then started the process this will take some time so I asked the system.

(System, can the orb display all my skills?) 

[No...

The orb can only identify your two active skills related to magic such as destruction magic and space magic because it has preloaded data about them. It won't be able to understand the other abilities such as super control and multi-tasking because it doesn't have any data regarding those skills.]

(I understand, then it's fine.)

I was not going to hide my magical powers but if the orb can identify the other game-related skills then I don't know how to explain. I didn't want to conceal my strength I was not the protagonist I also have strong backing other than the goddesses no one has the balls to try to hurt me. It will be just problematic to deal with the situation.
