The dirt path beside the lake grew longer.

Not quickly.

Every morning…

It stretched a little farther.

No one saw it happen.

People only noticed that places which had once been grass…

Were now part of the winding trail.

Children loved it.

Adults simply smiled.

“It must lead somewhere.”

No one knew where.

For once…

No one felt the need to find out immediately.

Ethan walked the path every evening.

Not searching.

Simply walking.

Sophia often joined him.

Sometimes Kai complained the trail was “far too peaceful.”

Then came anyway.

On the seventh evening…

Ethan reached a bend he had never seen before.

Beyond it…

Someone sat beneath a willow tree.

A little girl.

Perhaps six years old.

She wore a simple blue dress.

She quietly sketched in a notebook with colored pencils.

She didn’t look surprised when Ethan approached.

Without looking up, she asked,

“Do you like stories?”

Ethan smiled.

“I do.”

She nodded.

“So do I.”

Sophia caught up moments later.

She blinked.

“I’ve never seen this child before.”

The little girl smiled.

“You weren’t supposed to.”

Kai looked around suspiciously.

“Is anyone else getting cosmic-being vibes?”

The little girl giggled.

“I’ve never been called that.”

She closed her notebook.

Its cover had no title.

No name.

Only a tiny drawing of the impossible-colored tree.

Ethan noticed it immediately.

“Where did you get that?”

The girl looked at the drawing.

“Oh.”

“I made it.”

Silence.

Far beyond creation…

Nova suddenly stopped walking.

The impossible-colored tree had trembled.

Only once.

The white-haired child frowned.

“Did you feel that?”

Nova nodded.

“Someone…”

“…just imagined the tree.”

Elias looked up from the Seventh Chronicle.

A smile slowly spread across his face.

“So…”

“The first one has arrived.”

Back on the path…

The little girl held out her notebook.

“Would you like to see?”

Inside…

Every page contained simple crayon drawings.

Not masterpieces.

Just a child’s imagination.

A boy helping another child climb a hill.

A bird carrying a broken feather in its beak.

A bridge between two stars.

A lantern lighting another lantern.

Then…

The final page.

It showed Ethan…

Standing beside Sophia.

Holding hands.

Between them stood Lucas.

Older than before.

Laughing.

Behind them…

A younger child with dark hair chased Nova through a field of impossible-colored flowers.

Sophia stared.

“Lucas…”

The girl tilted her head.

“Who’s Lucas?”

Everyone froze.

She sounded genuinely confused.

Ethan gently closed the notebook.

“Did someone tell you to draw these?”

She shook her head.

“I dreamed them.”

Mira suddenly appeared.

She looked at the notebook.

Then at the child.

Then back again.

“I can’t…”

She whispered.

“I can’t see her future.”

The little girl smiled.

“My teacher says that’s normal.”

Ethan frowned.

“You have a teacher?”

She nodded happily.

“They said people don’t need to know their future.”

“They only need enough courage to walk toward it.”

Elias’ smile widened.

“I know exactly who taught her.”

The little girl stood.

She brushed the grass from her dress.

“My name is Lily.”

She bowed politely.

Then looked at Ethan.

“Thank you.”

He blinked.

“For what?”

She smiled.

“For making a world…”

“…where children can dream about tomorrow…”

“…instead of surviving today.”

The words struck everyone into silence.

Lily waved.

Then skipped farther down the path.

Around another bend.

Ethan followed almost immediately.

But…

She was gone.

No footprints.

No trail.

Only one colored pencil remained on the ground.

It shimmered faintly with the impossible color.

That night…

The Seventh Chronicle opened.

Instead of writing words…

A tiny crayon drawing appeared on a blank page.

A winding road.

A willow tree.

A smiling little girl.

And beneath the drawing…

Only one sentence.

The future first changes… when a child is free to imagine it.

Far beyond the Library…

Nova smiled toward the stars.

“I think…”

“…the Eighth Universe…”

“…has already begun.”

Not as a new cosmos.

Not as another cycle.

But…

Inside the imagination of a child who had never known the fear of the old world.

And somewhere…

Hidden just beyond the next bend in the road…

Someone quietly turned the page…
