Author POV
After an exhausting day at work, Bryan finally came home, he sluggishly dragged his feet into the building and was taken aback by what he saw. His family was hosting a party.
Bryan, actually, didn't understand what was going on. A celebration was going on yet no one told him, rather, they made him suffer by giving him loads of work to deal with at the office. How wicked could this family be? He wondered.
Mr. Wesley's secretary, walked up to him. Bryan knew greeting her would bring nothing but insults to him, and hence, he tried to pretend not to see her, and wanted to leave that place as fast as he could. But she was faster than him, she grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
“What now? Are you trying to pretend you didn't see me, Bryan?” she said with a wicked smile.
“Let go of me” he growled and snatched his arm from her grip. “What do you want from me?” there's a clear hint of annoyance and frustration in his voice.
Her eyes narrowed, she didn't seem to like the tone in which Bryan had just spoken with.
“Can you keep your voice low? You are shouting, which is definitely not good for you.” she paused and looked around very briefly. “Well, it's really a pity that you aren't aware of the party going on in your in-law's house. How worrisome could that be?” she chuckled wryly, mockery laughter displayed on her face.
“Please stay away from me, and don't add your worries to mine; I have had a lot to deal with already.”
He was about to walk away, but she didn't let him. She stopped him by rushing in front of him.
“What happened? It seems like you've not been flaunting his money lately. Your shoes are getting old. Do you need money for another one? I can ask Mr. Wesley or Alicia to give you some money, you know.” She gave another mockery laughter, which he groaned at.
“Well, that was a nice script coming from you, but next time you want to talk to me, make sure you brush your teeth because it smells like decay shit in there” he sassed.
She couldn't say anything, her mouth was simply opened with her forefinger waving in front of her face as she struggled to find words for her comeback, but unfortunately for her, vocabulary seemed to lack words at the moment.
Seeing how speechless he's successfully made her, he smirked victoriously and walked away with his hands proudly tucked in his pocket.
Bryan was just a few steps away from the stairs leading to his room, Mr. Wesley, who was with his wealthy friends, saw and called out for him. Although, Bryan wasn't happy and deeply angry at his father-in-law, he wore a pleasant smile and approached them.
“Hello, good evening, sirs”:he greeted everyone as he politely bowed at them, his pretentious smile never left his face.
“So, fellas, this is my son-in-law, Bryan Crostons.” Mr. Wesley introduced Bryan.
Bryan knew he's not going to stop there, in fact, he already knew his next words by heart.
“He was a nobody, you know, he used to be our cleaner, but thanks to me, he's branded him into this fine-looking man you're seeing because I would rather not be a bad father who won't support his daughter. You know, she rejected all of your sons just to be with this low life.” Mr. Wesley sighed heavily. “Well, he's not all bad too, I can say he's a little smart and many times useless” Mr. Wesley concluded, and they all erupted into a fit of laughter.
Bryan could feel his anger building from the bottom of his stomach, he could feel a volcano was about to erupt, but he quickly pressed his thumbnail deeply into his palm and tried everything he could to keep his anger in—after all, no matter how angry he was, there's nothing he could do about it.
“I must say your daughter is completely tasteless. She doesn't know what's good for herself. How could she reject my son for such a smelling thing?” a friend of Mr. Wesley insulted Bryan directly, and subconsciously stepped on Mr. Wesley's arrogance too.
Mr. Wesley's eyes narrowed slightly, he didn't find what his friend said pleasing at all.
“Maybe because your son isn't so cute and didn't have those six packs that makes girls go crazy, and who knows, he might be a nerd who wears sunglasses everywhere, even in the brightest places” Bryan finds himself saying before he could stop the words, but thankfully, everyone burst into a series of laughter, but then embarrassment swallowed him when he saw Mr. Wesley's not so funny face.
“Wesley, you really have a son-in-law like yourself who knows how to put people in their places” Another of them said, and Bryan chuckled nervously.
Even though he knew it wasn't going to end well for him after the party, Mr. Wesley was surely going to insult him for embarrassing him, but at least he felt better after saying that.
“I will excuse you all, you know” He said quietly, and quickly excused himself. “Such arrogant crazy people's with their ugly faces.” He grumbled, walking toward the stairs.
He noticed he hadn't seen Alicia around, maybe she's at a club or in their room smoking as usual. He gulped down a lump that's been hanging in his throat, then continued his journey up the stairs.

As Bryan approached their room, the sounds he heard made him worried. He heard very loud moaning sounds, and squeaky sounds of a bed that's vehemently shaking.
“Can't people attend parties without having sex in any vacant room they see?” he wondered aloud, thinking that it must be some people who came to the party who were having sex; that was so bad. “How can people be shameless and think someone's house is a good place to have sex just because of a party?” he gesticulated as if it weren't his business. Besides, the owner of the house is probably not complaining, so he should care less.
Bryan's brows furrowed as confusion was slowly taking over his thoughts because the more he got close to their room, the more the sounds got closer and clearer. There's a family voice that he wouldn't forget even in his unconscious state, he knew very well who the voice belonged to but felt doubtful. He didn't want to believe what his ears were hearing.
He's finally standing outside their room, and even though he tried not to believe it, there's no way he could doubt it now. Bryan couldn't control his anger, he quickly pushed the door open and barged into the room, and what he saw was beyond betrayal.
His best friend and his wife, Alicia, were having sex on their matrimonial bed.
He was unable to feel his hands anymore, the briefcase he was carrying fell from his hand, catching their attention. His friend was a little miffed, but Alicia cared less.
“Common baby, I am enjoying it” she said as she held his dick and licked it with her tongue. Bryan fell so irritated and so angry, and couldn't contain his anger.
“Ryan, is this who you truly are? This is what you've been displaying with my wife all along” He voiced, denied him as he said so, and Alicia burst into wicked laughter.
“Who told you I am your wife? Did I look like a wife material? I agreed to marry you because my father wanted to use you to gain more standing in the business world, and then we would get a divorce. Don't be daft; you can leave. You aren't blind to the fact that I have a serious business here. Common boy, don't be shy. This isn't our first time, you know. Common, fuck Mama, so hard.” She lay on the bed, and Ryan continued from where they stopped.
He couldn't believe this was happening. He rushed out of the room and down the stairs to make sure to prevent Mr. and Mrs. Wesley from seeing him. He was so sad that he walked through the street with lost hope.
He felt everything had ended; he had been enduring all the insults, but the least he could withstand was seeing his own very best friend, the only person he trusted, share all his problems with, and he betrayed him for his own selfish reasons. He always thought he would always have his back, but it was all his dream. He almost ran into a car when someone dragged him from behind.
“Be careful, Young Master” a man with white hair and dressed in a black suit that worth billions of dollars and his glittering shoe, said with his head slightly bowing. He was unable to understand what's going on and wonders if he is in his right sense.
“Are you referring to me? We never met before, right?” He asked, and he nodded.
“Yes, but I know you, and I have been looking for you. You are the young master of the Creston family.” His voice echos loudly in his ear.
