 Before he was taken off the streets by the former Patriarch of the Lin family, he was once the powerful heir of the Vince family.

Until he was framed by his Uncle and his cousin right after his parents' deaths, for trying to kill his grandfather and take over the business ventures.

His grandfather, filled with grief, had believed their words without hesitation, exiling him from the family to rot on the streets.

"Young Master! Your grandfather regrets his decision. That's why he doesn't hear himself, he can't bear to see your face after everything you've gone through. And he's terribly sick.

Your Uncle, and his son who had tried to poison him had almost succeeded and they ended up in prison.

All the rest of his children are ladies, married and cannot take the place as heir of the family... You're the only one that is left!"

Arthur's hands clenched tightly until the whites burned, it was all an issue of convenience after all.

He shook his head, turning around to leave. "Thanks master Harry for your help. But I would not want to be associated with the Vince family!" Arthur responded calmly.

A flash cuts through Mr. Harry's face. He instantly leaned forward with a pleading look.

"Your family needs you at this time, Master Arthur. Remember your father's last wish to be the heir of the family before he died!" 

At this point, Arthur paused. Trying to use his father's last words to persuade him was definitely a low tactic.

Seeing the lingering look in his eyes, Harry quickly pulled out a shiny black box.

"A bribe?" Arthur frowned deeply.

"Not at all. This is Towers' co-operation, the company that you invested 90 percent of your earnings years ago!" He reported.

The memories flooded into his head. It was a booming AI technology. Arthur saw the need to invest in tech, however, his foresight was seen as a breeding ground for pinging the allegations on him, especially when the company faced a backlog.

With the allegations of money laundering, wasteful spending, and more, his grandfather didn't hesitate to conduct an investigation.

"The company bloomed right after your life. And right now, it forms ten percent of the Vince co-operation.

Your grandfather thinks it's only right for you to have it back!" He responded.

"This is the Diamond card, it gives you access to everything that is owed by the Towers co-operation."

Arthur paused, his investment from long ago had paid off.

Memories of how Emily had been treated stormed into his head, and his heart squeezed.

"I know you don't want anything to do with Vince right now but think about this. Accepting this would lead you to a good life.

Devoid of the embarrassment you've been subjected to over the years at the Lin's family household who aren't even worthy to knot your shoes!"

Arthur instantly cocked a cold brow. "He has been monitoring me?"

Harry stuttered. "Your grandfather always regretted his decision and didn't know how to get you back!" He responded, his hands still stretched.

It was his property and his investments anyways.

"I will accept my property and think about reinstating my vows!" Replied Arthur.

A subtle smile tugged the face of Harry that quickly disappeared.

"Thank you, young master. I will relate the news quickly to the secretary of the company to get in touch with you right away!" He responded.

A few moments later, a sleek car arrived, its wheels screeching with so much dignity.

A lady stepped out of the car, embodying the perfect curves and a blemish-free face. Her skin was perfect and sleek, she stepped forward and bowed with reverence.

"Master Arthur. This is your personal assistant.

I had presumed you'd not fancy seeing my face often. She will do a great job!"

Arthur nodded. He was right, he hadn't gotten over what the Vince family had done to him yet.

After one last bow, he left Arthur together with Patricia.

"If you're up for it sir, I will take you to the company so we can complete all the documentation required!"

"Also, with the card, you can access the company reserve funds for the CEO directly!"

"And how much is that?" Curiosity forced Arthur to inquire.

"Half a trillion dollars sir!"

Arthur paused, emotions weaving into his chest. He had been humiliated in the Lin's family house for so long, he had forgotten the extent to the Vince 's power and what wealth felt like.

"You also have access to businesses our company owes access to. Like hospitals in nevermore districts and with the card, you could have free access to buying as many companies and properties you want since no one would dare to object to a bidding from Tower's co-operation!" She further added, thinking the initial wasn't enough from Arthur's response, with a smile to hopefully calm him.

Arthur's look instantly sipped back.

"It's okay!" He returned. 

She responded with another smile. Sleek and somewhat sending flashes.

Arthur pulled away from her and nodded silently. But before they got into the car, his cell phone flashed. A number that he wouldn't wish at this time was boldly written off on it.

"Madam Lin!" 

A frown cuts deep into Arthur's face and Patricia could easily sense the dropping temperature.

He picked up the phone. "Grandma! Is there anything that..."

Her voice instantly cuts through his words, sharp and condescending.

"Anything?" She barked.

"You're not just a homeless and a worthless chiwawa, you are also irresponsible?

Your wife has been admitted and you are what? Nowhere to be found?" She shrieked through the phone.

Arthur's emotions shifted with the Raw sense of urgency for the first time. "Something is wrong with Emily? His pulse jolted!" But the call had already ended with a hospital address clearly displayed on it.
