"Can you take me to Trinity Hospital?" Arthur inquired with rushed breaths after his eyes ran through the address.

Patricia jolted, and quickly split the door open for him. "On the way sir!" She returned.

Arthur got into the car, his heart pulsing repeatedly until they finally got to the hospital.

Meanwhile, immediately they had gotten to the entrance, eyes sparkled from the crowd, seeing the latest Maybach model, of which only two existed in the whole of the city, the other owned by a renowned athlete.

"I can't believe someone actually owes that!" 

"It feels like a fairy tale! I wonder who it could be!"

Lucas and Natalie saw the car as it sped by. 

Natalie's heart flashed. Whoever owned that car definitely controlled several companies and had up to millions in his account.

Her head burst into wishful thinking. Lucas's hands clenched seeing the lingering spark that sparkled in the eyes of his wife for another man's property.

Meanwhile, Arthur opted to stop at the other end of the street, he didn't want to reveal the news about his sudden wealth yet, not when everything had not been properly ironed out with his grandfather.

"Thank you!" Arthur appreciated with rushed breaths.

"No! I should say thank you, sir. Would you want me to pick you up after you're done?" She inquired further.

Arthur shook her head, giving her a quick dismissive wave after. 

"There would be no need for that!"

With those words, he stormed off into the hospital, his steps clamping against the hospital's marble floors.

And then, he saw Madam Lin, together with Lucas and Natalie at the entrance of the building..

Madam's face instantly twisted into a venomous frown.

Arthur ignored the looks dripping with spite and inquired.

"Where's my Emily? What happened to her? Is she fine now!" His lips rolled with multiple questions at the same time.

"Are you asking me that?" Madam Lin returned with theatrical disgust.

"You're the reason that my granddaughter is almost dead and you dare to question me?" Her frown deepened, cutting deep into every inch of her body.

Arthur's face arched with confusion.

"What do you mean!! Madam Lin!" The urgency in his veins rose in waves.

Natalie frowned deeply and leaned forward. "The walking appendix doesn't even realize it's wrong!

For the sake of settling your debts and paying back the amount for the vase you sold, she gathered her valuables, including your wedding rings, and decided to go into trade with a second-hand buyer. Who wanted her instead. She was attacked when she refused to bend to their will and escaped into the streets, fainting right after explaining what had happened to those who happened to find her!"

Arthur's jaw clenched tightly until they hurt, someone dared to harass his own wife, and his anger boiled over.

Then Lucas stepped forward, a villain smirk arched deeply into his face. "There's a part my darling left out, to treat your wife, the hospital is requesting the sum of a million dollars due to her internal injuries!" Lucas explained, his smirk going wider by the second as excitement spread throughout the whole of his body.

"We both know that you could never be able to afford such an amount of money even if you work for the rest of your miserable life without resting

But as your in-laws.. We have decided to help you since Emily is also one of us. We will pay the bills!' he noted.

Arthur knew that wasn't all. The Lins could not give you clothes without requesting your blood.

Then slam.

A document was brought forward, sleek and strong. The heading flashed boldly in Arthur's eyes.

"Divorce agreement it read!" Arthur frowned.

"Sign that and we will proceed with treating Emily!"

Arthur frowned. The Lins could really have gone this low despite someone's life being on the line.

"What are you still waiting for? Didn't you profess that you love are so deeply

If all those words were true, you should be signing the divorce already." Lady Lin growled with impatience..

"It would be better for both of you this way, you leave Emily and we will even add more money to feed you for the rest of your life!"

Arthur's frown cuts deeper. "There's nothing you can do to make me divorce Emily!" He responded with a voice that sounded throughout the hall with resilience.

Madam Lin's body instantly clamped. Rage boiled through Natalie's veins and Lucas gnashed his teeth as he drew a threatening move towards Arthur.

"Does this mean that you're willing to see your wife die all because of your selfishness in letting her go?" He inquired, his eyes boring deep into Arthur's gaze.

"No one is dying... Not under my watch!"

There was a sudden pause, after which laughter erupted through the hall like a clap of thunder.

"How are you going to do that! Treat yourself?"

"Maybe he has such magical means of making money!"

"What's he going to tell us next? How did he suddenly become the owner of a large company?" 

A small crowd had already gathered at the scene. Everyone knows the story of the Lin family and their worthless son-in-law.

Their laughter rolled off in waves, cutting through the air like a sharp blade, but Arthur didn't bulge.

With his words firm and strong, he returned to their mockery.

"I don't need anyone making payments for my wife's bill! I can do that myself!"

Lucas turned over to the others with a face that seemed to drop with pity.

"I think that he has finally gone mad!" He announced to everyone present in the lobby.
