Chapter 6- Serendipity

He sighed, he likes Alyssa but she likes Flynn Wright, which made him harbor some resentment towards him but it grew to hatred and sadness when she killed Flynn parents. He felt that if they had welcomed her, she would not be driven to do such until he heard from Flynn that it was a conspiracy by the King. Now Flynn is gone to repay her, he did not hesitate to sacrifice himself. He had told him and expected that he would not agree but it was like a slap in the face. He used his hand to cover his face as he bent down in his office to bawl his eyes out. He felt dirty within himself for judging his friend like that.

He left behind the brothers who were already crying.

" Tell Conner to pick up his daughter, she  would be taken care of till then and is expected to wake up in a few hours." he said those words before leaving.

The burial was quickly carried out as the preparations had already been made by Flynn.

It was announced and the Wright went into seclusion. The news was a shock to the world, especially Conner. He had also been warned by the brothers not to expose anything.

In space that stretched infinitely, an old man stood without any support. He seemed to be waiting for something when a sould materialized in front of him.

Flynn felt dizzy for a while before opening his eyes and looking at the old.man before him.

"Old man, what is going on? I think I am now privy to the things you have kept from me for quite a while"

The old man is the mysterious old man who had said he would not live past forty (40 ).

"Let's walk as we talk"

Flynn raised an eyebrow as he looked around but still followed the man.

"The heavenly Dao keeper of a former supreme planet needs your help and your the only one who could help because of your accumulated merit is terrifying.

"What you have been seeing in your dream are the reincarnations if you in different world and the total merit of all the reincarnations plus yourself is horrifying, so you are the most suitable."

"So you want me to help?"

"Yes"

"What if I don't want to?"

They stared at each other for a while before the old man spoke.

"Are you angry about your short life?"

"Of course, I am. Who would like to die at the prime of their lives when they have yet to accomplish their wish"

"It can't be helped, it is the only way to make you finish your reincarnation fast,  so that you can be able to reincarnate on the sigma constellation cycle.

Else, your reincarnation would not be good"

"Can't it be left for the next sigma cycle only happens once every Eons, which the world can't wait any longer as the Dao is getting weaker and about to be devoured."

Flynn looked at the old man and knew he wasn't joking and his eyes showed he was telling the truth.

" What do I gain?"

"You gain primordial merit and a new life "

"What is the difference between the merit I gained and the primordial merit?"

"The heavenly Dao keeper would brief you on the rest. We have arrived."

A bridge lay before him. He could not see the end, his sight was limited because the fog limited his vision.

He turned to look at the old man.

"Would I loose my memory?" the old man shaked his head before speaking.

"No! on the contrary, you would get the reincarnated memories in order. At the end of the bridge lies the man who would take you to continue your journey"

"Old man, we have been talking but I do not know where I am or your name?"

"Call me Old Jim, as for where you are. It's the boundary, the old man you would meet is just like me, same job"

Flynn understood. They were both world keepers and under them were countless worlds and planet.

He took a deep breath and stepped on the bridge.

His back was still straight and unbending.

The old man looked at the young man on the bridge and could not help but sigh.

" You have already helped me pass the tribulation. I wonder if you can help him with his"

"Sigh, it's getting dangerous. Those Demons would be planning on devouring Old Brad World since mine has been accepted and being protected by the primordial "

"Sigh, who exactly is behind the scenes..

Words like such were spilled and some secretes revealed.

He arrived at the end of the bridge. Opening his eyes, he met an old man with white beards and hair.

"You can call me Old Brad. Am sure, Old Jim must have explained it. If you have any question, you can ask me?"

"What is primordial merit?" Flynn shot his question after hearing that from him.

"It's a kind of merit birth by the Primordial Chaos Dao.

We have the Chaos, The Primordial Chaos and the Primordial, Great and Heavenly Dao."

The merit given by the Chaos, The Primordial Chaos and the Primordial is called the Primordial Merit.

The Merit given by the Great and Heavenly Doa is called the heavenly Merit "

"How would you know the difference?" he asked as they walked.

"You would know."

"What is the name of the bridge and what is the problem am to help you with".

"It's called the borderless bridge and can only be built but the keepers of both sides can't use it except for souls like you.

The bridge should never exist in the first place but it's impossible for you to get here without it and you won't be able to help me"

"As for the help I need, I want you to raise the world rank. You can do so by helping the world develop just like from primitive era to stone age era etc.

You won't go without anything as I would give you an achievement system to help you by giving missions and rewards "

He did not say anything again but nodded.

"Alright it's time". he said as he touched his forehead to implant the achievement System.

It was as if, the Void bloomed.

Lights of different colours, constellation of different world. It was a sight to behold.

He was in awe of it.

"Let's not delay. Your status would be influential so you don't need to worry "

A worm hole appeared it gave off a a blue light.

"Goodbye"

Suddenly a deep purple light wheezed and attached itself to him before the Worm whole created disappeared.

"Tsk, he got a serendipity. Such Luck" He said while clicking his tongue.

But he had to say that he was a good seed.

He looked towards the bridge and wondered if he would get any more wandering soul.
