First world, the illusion

Gem was living the best life he ever imagined. He was one of the top students in his college. Not only best in studies but he also joined the football team and with that came the popularity that he never imagined.

Sometimes, he would think that his previous life was just a nightmare. This was his real life and this was where he made a mistake.

The illusion was created to be perfect.

"Host, why don't you listen to me? We need to get out of here."

The guardian angel system sulked seeing his host being drowned in this fake world.

"You need to wake your powers up. We can not stay here. Your people are waiting for you."

He winked again while Gem closed his book and sighed. He could not longer take the nagging from his system.

"Fine, what do you want?"

"Let's activate the powers of your necklace. You are a dragon. You can control everything."

"Like what?"

Gem confusingly asked as he did not know about the powers.

Dragons were no less than Gods. They had special powers too but Gem being their future king can learn all those powers.

"Like controlling air, water, fire, dirt, plants and most importantly metals.

These are six elements that dragons can control while for gods, they can control time, reality, life and death.

They can manipulate and hear thoughts."

Gem nodded thoughtfully. He could see where this was going and now he needed to learn something just to calm his system.

He liked this world and he was not going to leave any time soon.

He got up and left the house.

There was a big park at the top of a mountain near his house. That palce was usually empty to it was better for him to go there and see what he could do.

He entered the park and stood in front of the big statue that was holding a book.

This statue was the same as his previous world. One of it's hand was under the book while the other was on top of the top and it looked as if it was reading a verse.

"Host, wear your necklace."

The mechanical voice told him and he did what he was asked to do.

He wore the necklace and could feel a wave of electricity passing through each pore of his body.

The necklace was activated and now he only needed to figure out how to use this and what powers he could get from it.

"Who is there...?"

Gem heard a voice and turned to find a girl standing behind him with a torch in her hand. She moved closer to him as she put light on him while Gem covered his eyes.

"You are wearing the dragon necklace."

She shone the light on his necklace.

"Dragon necklace."

"Yes, this stone belongs to dragon."

She went through her bag and took out a notebook. She opened it and showed the picture to Gem.

The picture was just yeh same as the necklace that Gen was wearing but the stone has different patterns on it.

"Look." She took the necklace and showed it to Gem under the light and now Gem could see those patterns.

"How do you know about this?"

Gem asked the girl who smiled. She was same age as him and had long blonde hair with blue eyes.

"My father is works with different museums. He is very much interested in knowing such things and so am I.

But I never knew I could see this stone ever."

Gem looked at his necklace and then at the girl.

"My name is Lizzy. What about you?"

"Gem.

Can I ask you why are you?"

"It is said that this place is very important to dragons. So, I like to come here at night.

But do you want to know about this necklace."

She asked him who nodded and soon they were sitting on a bench while Lizzy was telling him about the necklace.

There were three magical weapons that dragons prepared and were wore by the Dragon king and queen.

The necklace belonged to the queen while the king had a ring and a crown.

It is said that these things would pass to the next king and queen. These thing held enormous power and only a true king or queen can unlock it's power.

Once Gem heard the whole story he was now more interested in escaping the world and find more about him.

He asked Lizzy to meet her again in the park and went to his house. As he entered the house, he found a dark shadow standing near the door.

He stood there as the shadow did not speak but he could hear a voice in his brain.

"Stop playing around or you will be punished."

The next second, the shadow was gone while Gem could not understand what to do next. Was it a warning?

He remembered that this world was a perfect illusion. Even though it was fake but he still loved his family. Were they going to harm his family in any way.

He quickly entered the house and found his mother with his siblings.

"Gem, where were you? We were waiting for you."

His mother smiled at him while Gem was relieved to see them safe. So, it was just a warning.

Suddenly the phone rang making him come out of him thoughts.

"I will pick it."

He told his mother mad went to pick the phone. He picked it and put it against his ear.

"Hello."

"Is this Mr Henry's house?"

"Yes." Gem replied.

"I am sorry to inform that Mr Henry were in an accident today and...."

"And...?"

Gem's heart stopped beating for a second. He prayed that the man won't say yeh words that he was expecting.

"He could not make it."

The words were like a bomb that fell on his head. His legs went numb as he sat on the floor.

The man that would take him to his college, gives him pocket money, and treated him like son was no more.

For a second, he forgot that he was in a fake world. He felt as if he actually lost his father.

"Gem, what happened?"

"Mom..."

He looked up as his eyes filled with tears.
