First world, the illusion

Gem moved his hand and get hold of the ring in the third finger of the statue. As he touched the ring, the white coating on the ring fell down revealing a thick metal ring with engraving similar to the necklace. It was not like a normal ring but looking at it, Gem could feel the difference.

He found it. He found the ring and now all he has to do was to get out of this world.

"Gem, son. Why are you here so late at night?"

He froze as he heard the voice behind him. As he turned, he found his mother holding hands of his two siblings.

For a second, his grip on the ring trembled but he was quick enough to remind himself that this all was an illusion. It was not real. He needed to find his true identity.

"Brother..."

The little girl called him in himer innocent voice.

"Let's go home."

"Host, do not stop here. You need to get out of this world. Now that you have ring, you know what to do."

The mechanical voice reminded him.

"It is just a dream. You will wake up in your true body once you get out of this world."

Gem looked at the family that gave him everything but he could not stop here.

"I am sorry."

He whispered as he looked at the ring and was about to put it on his finger.

"Gem, no. Don't do this.

You will lose us forever. You have to stay here. We are here for you. We are family."

His mother walked towards him and she tried dto stop him from wearing the ring.

"Do not listen to her. She is only here to hurt you." Her mother glanced at Lizzy as she tried to explain making Gem confused.

"We are family. We will take care of each other."

She smiled and raised her hands to hug him but Gem moved back. He knew he could not hold himself anymore and needed to get out of this illusion. Once the ring is gone, he will be stuck here forever.

As he was about to wear the ring, suddenly he was attacked from behind resulting the ring to fell from his hands.

He landed on his face but was quick enough to turn to look at his attacker. It was the same shadow that warned him earlier and slowly it took a shape.

He was man with blonde hair and blue eyes. At the same time, Lizzy changed her shape and now she also changed in the same man.

They looked twins and Gem knew they were Gods.

"Argh Do you have any idea how much I tried to keep him away from the ring. But I must admit, you were fast."

He chuckled and lifted the ring.

"Thanks for the ring by the way. But you have to stay here now.

Enjoy your life with your family."

He waved his hand and laughed making Gem realized that he was being played.

"Host, do something. You need to take that ring back."

The system spike in a hurry and before the man whow as holding the ring could leave, Gem jumped and landed on the man. Both rolled on the ground as Gem tried to get the ring out of his hands.

Fir the first time, he felt a starnge energy running in his veins. He felt powerful.

"You..." The other man also jumped in the fight. Now there were three people fighting to get hold on the ring.

Gem was receiving blow after blow but he was clinging to the man who had ring in his hand.

Finally, he opened his mouth and bit on the hand of the man who was holding the ring. He screamed in pain and opened his hand resulting the ring to fell down.

Gem quickly moved towards the ring and grabbed it along with a handful of dirt. The next second, he jumped and ran towards the other side of the park.

"Hurry up, catch him."

The other man ordered the woman and kids that quickly turned and followed Gem who was running as if his life depends on it.

"Host, to enter the next world, you need to die in this one. Only then, your soul can travel to the next world."

"Are you kidding me right now?"

Gem was panting as he stopped to catch his breath.

"Host, don't lose the ring."

The system reminded him again while Gem cursed seeing the people who was following him like crazily. They were not the same family he knew but some crazy robots.

"Fu*k....what should I do now?

They are not going to stop at any rate."

He looked around and found he was nearly at the edge on a cliff.

.

"Gem, son."

The woman again used her sweet voice to stop him.

"It's dinner time. We should go back."

"Going back? You crazy woman...do you really think I will go back with you."

He laughed at her face whose face turned ugly.

Gem looked back and inahled deeply. He did not have any choice left.

"Host, do not worry. Trust me."

"Trust? I doy know whom to trust." He thought and took a step back as the three people moved closer and close to him. At the distance, the gods were calmly walking towards him as they knew he won't be able to kill himself.

As they reached near him, one of them smiled.

"Just come here and we won't kill you."

"Yes, we won't kill you." The other one agreed while Gem looked down and smirked. The next second he jumped down and closed his eyes ready to collide with the stones while the gods were stunned at their place.

"How did he know the way to get out? Is someone helping him?"

"I don't know. I never saw anyone with him." The man who was Lizzy, panicked.

They could not understand how Gem managed to find out that death was the way to escape.

They were doomed now.
