As easy as this?

Hao Feng had the brightest smile on his face. This woman had really stuck to her words and actually given him the emerald eyes. He just had to beat her candidate...which he did easily. Even he was surprised at how easy he had done that. Sure he had a few cuts here and there but that was all, she didn't really prove much trouble in taking down.

"Guys what are you waiting for?" Hao Feng excitedly said to the crowd and he waved his emerald eyes for all to see.

"She really did give him!"

"It wasn't even that hard for Hao Feng to beat him" The crowd was ecstatic. Hao Feng was a average at best in terms of power but he had still easily taken the girl down. If they went then it was basically free emerald eyes assured.

"I wanna go next!"

"No me me, elder Jang pick me!" The students struggled to come forward. Elder Jang on the other hand wasn't too happy. This girl Rose had brought felt so weak compared to what he expected from an average Great water serpent sect youth practitioner. The average Great water serpent sect youth practitioner should not be too far off in level from Baxia.

"Jang chi, wouldn't you pick one and continue?" Rose asked as she carried Amber's unconscious body in her arms and dropped her in a safer place. She then fed her a little white pill.

"Hmm" Elder Jang nodded and looked at the crowd of students. This time he would pick one of the weakest and see how it goes. "You, go and try" Elder Jang said as he pointed at a skinny boy.

Min jun had a look of disbelief. He didn't expect to be picked out of everyone since he was weaker than them. He thought elder Jang wouldn't want to pick a weak student to represent the house but still volunteered anyway. And as the heavens willed it Elder Jang picked him!

The other person beside Rose stepped forward and removed the hood covering her face. Like the crowd expected it was another stunning beauty.

"Ayo did they come to fight or come to woo us" One student voiced out his thoughts as he salivated.

The other showed their agreement, they were all enticed. Only the few girls in there seemed to be somewhat disgusted. So what if they were pretty? They were still very weak!

"I am Clarice" The girl said and bowed like her partner had done earlier.

"Min jun" Min jun was much more calmer than Hao Feng when speaking. Right now he would be going against this girl. Assuming she was of the same level with the girl from earlier then, although the match would be quite tough for him, he had confidence that he would be able to win.

Clarice said nothing more after and just stood her ground seemingly waiting for Min jun to make the first move.

"Ah" Min jun let out a sigh and opened his hand, it in was a stone tied with rope that seemed very flexible. Min jun looked at it, this object right here was a weapon he had chanced upon during his early days. He had practiced much with it and had grown to become almost untouchable when he wielded it. His hand to hand combat wasn't great but atleast he had this...this would go in tandem with his fire.

Min jun held the stone by it's rope and swung it from the bottom at Clarice.

Clarice Bent her body backwards and evaded the stone, then she jerked her hand. Out of it came a spike made of ice that headed towards min jun at great speed.

Min jun raised is left arm and yanked the stone rope of the stone causing it to fall back to him. He predicted the direction so precisely that as the stone came back to him it destroyed the icicle also.

Min jun then spun around and the stone that had come back to him once again returned to Clarice. Clarice hadn't expected it and she took a hit to the chest.

The small stone had a very powerful impact on one's body, it was the very definition of small but mighty. Clarice fell and cough a little before getting back up.

Min jun charged at her as he wrapped the rope that had extended around his arm. He could effortlessly switch from long range combat to close range combat with this thing, that was why he loved it so much.

Wooshing sounds were made as the powerful force of the stone came in contact with the innocent wind. they all aimed for none but Clarice.

Clarice was feeling the heat as she started to sweat profusely while doing her best to maintain her balance and also effectively evade the stone. Min jun didn't even give her any chance to counter attack or even make use of her powers, he was just too aggresive

"Aha" In their exchanges min jun got close enough and his left arm flamed. Since Clarice was so focused on dodging the stone she had forgotten that he was a fire user, he didn't just have to attack with only the stone!

*Bam* Min jun hit with his charged left fist. Punch came in contact with ribs and damage was done.

Clarice crashed to the ground and scrunched up into a ball as she hugged her mid sections tightly.

"You win" Rose's voice immediately announced.

"Pfft" Min jun burst out into laughter. What the hell was this thing! The fight hadn't even lasted up to two minutes and the supposed strong water serpent sect students was already whimpering and defeated.

"Like I promised" Rose said and tossed him two emerald eyes.

"So easy..." Min jun muttered as he received the emerald eyes, his eyes filled with joy.

Harith observed this fight from a distance. He didn't have any fancy weapon or powers but he certainly could have done better than that girl in fighting Min jun. If it was that easy for her to be defeated then he took had to take a chance! He just might earn some emerald eyes!

Elder Jang was genuinely shocked this time. Why were the two candidates Rose brought so weak? Was she trying to mock them or something? Surely she didn't bring them just so she could have an excuse to give his students free emerald eyes.

"Why did you bring them here for a fight if they're so weak?" Elder Jang asked with a not so happy look.

"Wow Jang chi, your students really are strong. It seems you've been training them well" Rose had a surprised look. They had defeated her students so easily, she was impressed!

"...." Elder Jang was left speechless. It seemed like the water serpent sect students were just this weak. He hadn't expected it as the water serpent sect was always the most powerful out of the four core sects. And their young ones grew more powerful with every generation, but it seems they've fallen back.

But Elder Jang still wasn't willing to let things be. He had to find out exactly how weak they were. So he decided to choose his weakest student.

"You, Harith is it?" Elder Jang saw Harith watching among the crowd so he called out to him.

"Ah yes" Harith was surprised but still answered the call.

"Come fight" Elder Jang said.

"Eh? Me?" Harith asked in shock. Sure he had said earlier that he wanted to fight but when it actually came down to it, he didn't have the confidence that he could win. He had only taking small martial arts classes in his previous life, apart from that he was basically useless as they said.

"Yes, don't you want to improve? This'll be a great way to train" Elder Jang assured him. Everyone knew sparring was one of the best methods of training, it taught someone what to expect in a real battle. Even though Harith couldn't quite use his fire element yet, he could still train in other areas.

"The useless bastard?" Someone blurted out.

Harith immediately frowned and looked in the direction where the voice came. As he looked at the boy who had spoke he recognized him almost immediately, this boy was part of the group that had mocked him during the young master's ceremony!

"Quiet!" Elder Jang immediately hushed the crowd and kept speaking to Harith. "Just give it a try"

Rose narrowed her eyes as she watched. From what she could access it looked like the kid Jang chi had all was disregarded among the students. And from the name, it seemed like he was also the weakest. Jang chi really had the guts to bring his weakest student.

"Just you wait" Rose muttered as she looked at a certain boy in the crowd holding a sword.

"Ok" Harith suddenly didn't mind fighting again. He could see some people in the crowd holding in their laughter as he walked out, they didn't even take him seriously at all! Their mockery infuriated him, they were embarrassing him in front of the beauties goddamnit!

Harith walked to the front and stood in front of his opponent. It was the girl that had fought the first time, she was conscious now after being fed the pill and it seemed like she was ready to fight again.

"Harith" Harith bowed and said.

The girl bowed too but didn't say anything. She had already introduced herself earlier, there was no use of doing it the second time.

As soon as they were done with greeting, the popular fan made it's appearance. It's blades reflected the light of the sun, it really looked menacing.

Harith gulped and hardened his heart. Win or lose atleast he would gain a bit of experience from this matcha and experience first hand how the battles in this world felt.

He spread his feet should width apart and tucked in his elbows with his hands a little higher up and his palms facing outwards. With a deep breath he closed them into a fist and waited for Amber's attack.

"Hmm? What kind of stance is that?"

"I've never seen that stance before. It must be rubbish made up by him" The students continued mocking Harith as soon as he adopted his stance.

Harith had a look for confusion as he heard the voices. What the fuck were these guys talking about?! They had never seen the Muay Thai stance before?!

As soon as Harith was distracted, a fist came out of nowhere and quickly covered his vision. Harith swiftly shifted his head backward and grabbed the hand in front of his face. He drew the hand forward m, pulling it's owner along with it and he punched without care.

Surprisingly the attack was successful and the punch knocked her out instantly. Harith looked at his fists in shock. "The fuck is going on!" Harith exclaimed.

Amber had been knocked cold with just one punch from him? He did expect it to be that easy! It was like the battle kept getting easier and easier!

"Here boy" Rose smile and threw the two emerald eyes at him. She looked inside the pouch "Only four remaining, two fights left" She didn't look too bothered that her candidate had been defeated with one punch by Elder Jang's weakest student.

Harith caught the eyes and he could immediately sense why the others were so happy when they received the emerald eyes. He could already feel something like a cool refreshing wave of energy washing all over him as soon as he touched the emerald eyes!
