Abigail patted Jessica on the shoulders before walking out on her. Jessica remained frozen, her hands trembling. Why did she even sign the document? Have they bewitched her or what? Jessica was so shocked into thought that she forgot to blink. Her eyes got so dried that she began feeling some itches of pain on her eyes.
“Ma’am,” a voice sounded, snapping Jessica out from the state of ice-cold thought she was soaked in.
Jessica then turned to look at who it was, and Immediately her eyes caught up to the person, she smiled.
“Ma’am, is everything okay?” the voice asked again.
“Hazel, I’m fine thank you for asking,” Jessica replied grinning.
“Are you sure? You don’t look so fine as you say, ma’am,” Hazel responded, doubtful. She held Jessica’s wheelchair then pushed it gradually to the kitchen where they had been together cooking.
Hazel was an old maid in the Creek family mansion. In fact, she was the one that took care of Jessica at her tender age. She was the one who had been throughout with Jessica through her difficult times, from the moment her father died.
While in the kitchen, Hazel stared at Jessica with folded arms. “Ma’am, I don’t like it when you get worried a lot. You are hurting me deeply.”
“You know you can talk to me, right? I’m here always for you,” Hazel assured, touching Jessica softly on her cheek as she playfully yanked it.
Jessica smiled softly then looked at Hazel. “It’s just that I don’t trust my stepmother. I think she is planning to take away the only thing that’s left of my father from me. Even with her getting everything, I don’t know why she’s still so consistent in taking the one I cherished and loved the most.”
Jessica said this with a deep breath, as she looked downwards, she knew her step mother has something off her sleeves, and because of Jessica was scared of Abigail hurting her son, she decided to play along.
Hearing what Jessica said, Hazel gently touched her on her head, then massaged her head gently, her fingers digging in as she caressed it softly. This was what Hazel had been doing to Jessica since when she was little, anytime Jessica was worried hazel does the head massage making Jessica stay calm.
“I want you to know one thing, and that thing is that I will always protect you, no matter what. Your father had left you under my care, and I made a promise to him to watch over you and your son is also my priority as well. I have been having suspicions towards Abigail, your stepmother, and I know she will do anything to take what you love and cherish. And for your safety, I advise you not to react because Abigail is very dangerous. It’s better to be alive to fight another day than to die now and forget about everything.”
Hazel said some encouraging words to Jessica, giving her reasons why she shouldn’t fight but wait for the right time. While still talking, the kitchen door slammed open with a loud bang.
Bang……….
“Oooh, I see you are having some heartfelt conversation. But it looks like you have forgotten that you have one job to do which is cooking, we are hell starving! What’s your problem? You should be done cooking minutes ago. What’s your damn problem, you both!” Isabella yelled angrily, her teeth clenched, her fists curled as she stared daggers at Hazel and Jessica.

Spat On The Face
“Why the hell didn’t you make me finish?” Shinda replied with a gasp, then chuckled in a taunting manner before pushing his body forward as he walked into the punched-hole house at which Abigail referred to as Pig House.“Ooh, God, this place stinks,” shinda recoiled, covering his nose. “Well, a person like you deserves a place like this after what you have done to my boss,” Shinda added. Jessica was infuriated by what Shinda had said, and so she rolled forward on her wheelchair and approached him with a tightened jaw and a dagger-like gaze.“Why the hell are you here?” Jessica asked again, her hands gripping her wheels as she glared angrily at Shinda.“Hey, young lady, or should I say cripple lady, chill… a bit okay? ooh gosh, Your eyes look so scary, it’s making my brow dangle,” Shinda replied with a mocking snarl.“At least have some manners and offer me a chair to sit on. A Pain To Accept
“My sweet Isabella, come closer to me. You are my perfect daughter,” Abigail said, smiling. Isabella pushed forward, then came close to Abigail, hugging her while grinning. Abigail gently ran her hands over Isabella back as she spoke, slowly. "You have been here throughout the process of my plans. Me giving you the company I had collected from Jessica wasn't a mistake but a gift for your perfect prediction and guidance.""Hehe, what do you expect, Mum? It's me, the perfect photocopy of you. I will do anything to please you, Mother," Isabella replied, her grin as devilish as a devil."By the way, Mother, isn't that cripple supposed to be here cleaning the house?" Isabella asked, raising her head as she stared at her mother."Yeah, you just reminded me. I will send off the security to go get her in the pig house where she lived," Abigail laughed, after referring the house where Jessica lived as a pig house. Isabella laughed as well, then adjusted herself on the sofa she was seated on.
