Lucian stared at her in shock, she was desperate to blame him.

Kelsea suddenly held on to his hand as she looked into his eyes and went on explaining, “You know Ella has always been a stubborn girl from the onset, I admit you tried talking to her not to leave the house, but she ignored your words and left the house, take the blame and I will get the best lawyer that will bail you out,” Kelsea stated.

Lucian looked at her, “I thought you loved me, is it not about time you pay me back for all the good deeds I have done for you? That cell isn't good for my sister, she has a bright future, so don't ruin it with your greediness,” Kelsea uttered, trying to calm him down.

Lucian used his might to push her off his body, as she did to him earlier. “Where's Ella!!, Where's the person who committed the offence?” He asked, in a low tone.

“She's in the villa, she's still in shock so she's taking some rest,” Kelsea averted her eyes from him and averted it back to him.

“Is the police aware of it, has the press got a wind of it,”

“Not yet, I just want to confirm that you will take the blame. Lucian, I thought you loved me,”

“Now you know that I love you when your sister was in trouble, she committed an offence and hid like a wet kitten,” Lucian said.

“Lucian, take the blame, and after this case, I will be super nice to you. Six months or a year is not too much to sacrifice for the family of the woman you love, and the victim's family is not ready for settlement despite the amount we offered them,”

“Kelsea, I'm losing it, why should I take the blame for her” Lucian lost it.

Clara came in at that moment and placed a paper on his shirt.

“The police are coming over to arrest you, so memorise your part because it must tally with what Ella said to them,”

“What did she say?” He asked.

“You were with her, and you were the driver and when the incident happened, you ran away leaving her alone in the car to take the blame,” Kelsea said, and Lucian's mind kept losing.

He contemplated whether he should do it or not before agreeing to do it.

“I will do it because I love you, and not for any reason, so make sure you bail me out” He stated, and She nodded immediately.

Kelsea held Lucian's arm, which she hadn't done for three years now, taking him downstairs. As soon as they got downstairs, the police arrived, showing their ID.

“You are Lucian Sterling?”

“Yes sir,” Lucian said.

“You are under arrest….”

Before Lucian knew it, his hands were handcuffed and dragged out. He kept glancing back at Kelsea to see her wearing a blank face.

As soon as he left, Ella came inside the house. She dropped her body on the sofa before beckoning one of the maids to get her a bottle of liquor.

“You want to drink again?” Kelsea questioned.

“Why should I not drink? I'm not a hit-and-run driver, so now I'm free” Ella spat out. Her order came in, and Ella started drinking the wine.

Clara, and Joe, went to Ella's side as Clara stroked her hair gently.

“My poor baby, I will never allow you to step foot inside that prison. It's not your portion, Lucian has taken the blame for you,” Clara said.

“That gullible man should use this to pay us back for all the good things we had done for him. We fed, clothed him and even provided shelter for him, so he deserves to do this for us,” Joe uttered.

“Kelsea, are you not meant to follow him to the police station to show your love? The love of your life just demonstrated the love he had for you by taking the blame for the incident your sister committed” Ella said, in a mockery tone, and Kelsea shut her up from talking further with her deadly eyes.

“He's not my love, and you too be careful, stop drinking,”

“My daughter is now free from all accusations,” Clara said.

“And you will be out soon” Ella uttered, winking at Kelsea.

Ever since the day Kelsea and Lucian have been joined together by marriage, Lucian hasn't been treated as a human being rather he was regarded like a scum, treated like garbage, and downgraded like someone that would never make it in life even if a big opportunity of him to be rich comes at his doorsteps.

Lucian took in all the suffering, hoping his wife would love him like she used to before they got married. He hoped to gain her love back after their marriage, but she fell out of love as she married him and joined her family in maltreating him. 

Now she realised he couldn't handle her bills, her expenses, and no benefits from him, and she would be the one to lose a lot.

Kelsea sees him as bad luck, a money sucker, a worthless man. Lucian took her off the market immediately, but Ella brought her back into the market as she linked Kelsea up with top billionaires.

She's young, beautiful, and smart and no man won't stare at her twice. Her beauty drew attention, and it was her beauty that caught Lucian's attention before he decided to marry.
