Chapter 7

“It can't be possible. I have the history of this poor striker rubbish in my hands.  There is no way that he could be a young master of anyone."

They might have made a mistake.“ Sia assured herself, swearing under her breath that they had certainly made a huge mistake.

Straightening up her shoulders, she advanced swiftly towards them while the attention of everyone was directed towards her.

“And who are you?“ Sia was privileged enough for Sydney to speak to her, putting a swift smile on her face almost immediately.

“I'm Sia. A dedicated employee of this company.“

“I just want to say that there are only two things possible in this situation. Either you have been fooled by Lucian or you must have made a mistake.“

"He is no Young Master whatsoever and he is only hear to beg for free meals as he always does," Sia added hints of lies in the words that she spoke to spice things up.

Sydney and Mr Kelvin's eyes farrowed almost immediately as they were speechless, not knowing what to say at the moment and stricken with so much shock

With the words, Sydney could feel her heart beating hard again in her chest as though it was going to burst through her chest.

She shuddered. She crawls against the roof of her mouth.

But Lucian assumed a strange calm, turning over to Sydney.

“She is the reason  I called you.“ Lucian began.

“The invitation that I was given didn't have an expiring date. She tore it and said that it was fake.“ Even though his voice seemed almost calm, there was a trace of bitter anger in it.

Mr Kelvin could hardly believe the words that he just heard still trying to make things out

“Young Master. I am sorry.“ He apologized once again as he pulled off from the floor walking towards Sia and slapping her across the face multiple times until it swelled badly.

“So it's because of you.“ He slapped her even more on the face while her hands were tightened against the other end of the bad aching face.

“Do you realize that this is a VVIP of the company?“ Mr. Kelvin thundered. "And he could shut down  everything  in a blink?" He thundered, his voice laced with so much fury

“But how is that even possible?“ Confusion clouded her face but before she could finish the words that she was saying, a slap landed on her face.

“You fool.“ He thundered.

“Do you even realize the amount of the card that you just tore? That's a life ticket. Why do you think that it was not like every other card that is so hea? Hea?“

She could hardly speak now as it seemed as though she had been stripped of all her words.

Turning over to Lucian he said.

“I'm sorry, Young Master. Please forgive me. I will serve you myself.“ He said as he shuddered

“It's okay.“ He replied.

“But there is one thing that must be done first.“ He said.

“Say it, young master. Whatever it is, I will get it done immediately.“ Her words were swift, laced with so much respect.

He turned to Sia who stuck to her stance, unable to make out words to express her shock.

“We made a bet and you lost.  I think that you should be ready to fulfil the end of the bargain.“ He said with a twitch in his brows.

Her face furrowed into a frown as she could never imagine herself kneeling before someone like him and calling him daddy.

She was hesitant, unable to step out from her circle.

“You have two of the two greatest people in the city staring at you right in the face.

Are you just going to keep standing there? Lucian shot a stared at her as streams of sweat gradually flowed down from the corner of her face

“Are you still standing there?“ Mr Kelvin roared at her as he didn't have as much patience as Lucian did.

At this point, she knew that there was absolutely nothing that she could do about it.

She walked gradually towards him and fell to her knees

“Daddy.“ She called out but even though he heard it perfectly, he pretended not to.

“I didn't hear you.“ He twitched his eyebrow and his expression was so calm.

“” Daddy.“ She called out again.

Just then the pattern of feet came into the place and turning around, Lucian noticed that it was the security officer.

Noticing the manager, they bowed slightly and said.

“Manager.“ They greeted.

The words were like stabs right through Sia's heart that she fell, kneeling on the floor, getting them even more confused than they were already.

“What's going on? We thought that something was going on here.“ They inquired trying to figure out what was going on

With her face laced with embarrassment, she shifted her gaze away from them but no matter how hard she tried, they could not help but notice how awkward she was in her distressed position

“She  was the trouble here and also had the guts to make the young master go through so much stress." Kick her out.“ Mr Kelvin finally ordered and her heartbeat seemed to come off swiftly.

Her eyes widened with so much shock knowing that it was going to be difficult for her to get a job again.

“Please, sir.“ She wanted to apologize immediately but he would not listen to her anymore.

“This is the last chance  you have to leave quietly, that's if you don't want to be out of the city.“ He noted.

With tears in her eyes, she was kicked out of the place.

Meanwhile, he apologised once again to Lucian and treated him personally to a meal.

After he was done, he thanked Sydney

“I am grateful for what you did today.“ He said.

“I should be the one apologizing young master for all the stress that you had to go through today.“ She replied.

They got closer to the car and got into it. She was driving while he spoke to her softly from behind.

“I don't want anyone to know about my identity yet. Something tells me that my enemies are still looking around, I need to be discreet.“ Lucian stated

At first, he thought that Lady Sydney was not going to listen to a single word that he was saying as he had always opposed him for taking home a thing or few.

“I understand Young Master and I am going to ensure that.“She responded.

For the first time in a long time, he drew a deep sigh, resting his head at the back of the car.

For the next Words that he wanted to sprout, flashes of the past flushed swiftly through his head as he shook them in better sorrow.

“I want you to get a divorce lawyer and prepare a divorce agreement. I need it by the end of today.“

“I have unfinished business to deal with.“ His hands were clenched with so much hate and disgust.
