Chapter 1
Sleeping With a Stranger
Springfield City.
In a small motel room, Mia sat naked, covering herself with a blanket. Her face was ice-cold.
“You had a great time last night, didn’t you?”
Her voice was cold, making Liam uncomfortable.
Liam lay casually on the bed and raised an eyebrow. “Yeah. Didn’t you enjoy it too?”
Tears welled up in Mia’s eyes. She raised her hand and slapped Liam hard across the face.
“How dare you say that? I’m calling the police and having you arrested!”
Liam rubbed his face, looking confused.
“Miss, get your facts straight. You were the one who dragged me to this room last night! Don’t you remember what happened? You were drugged. I helped you, and now you’re blaming me?”
Mia froze. Her head throbbed as she tried to recall the events of the previous night.
She had been drinking at a bar when, suddenly, a strange heat swept through her body. A few sleazy-looking men started approaching her.
She wanted to resist, but her body was weak and powerless.
At that moment, a handsome man appeared. She lost all sense of control and kissed him without thinking…
Liam looked at Mia, whose face had turned bright red, and sighed helplessly.
As the sole heir to the billion-dollar Moran family, Liam had come to Springfield specifically to find his fiancée.
Who would have thought that, before meeting his fiancée, he’d end up sleeping with another woman by accident?
As part of the Moran family, Liam had undergone various types of professional training, including medicine.
With just a glance, he could tell what drug Mia had been given. The only way to save her life was to sleep with her. But clearly, Mia didn’t see it as him doing her a favor.
“Turn around! I’m getting dressed!” Mia snapped, red-faced and furious as she noticed Liam staring at her.
Liam shrugged and turned his back to her.
Her heart pounded as she hurriedly pulled on her clothes, her face burning.
“Okay, you can turn around now,” she said, trying to sound calm.
Liam turned back. Looking at Mia, his emotions were just as complicated as hers.
“There’s one million dollars in this card. Take it and get out of this city! If anyone finds out about what happened between us, you’ll regret it!”
Mia threw a bank card at him, her face cold and stern.
Liam frowned. A million dollars?
To him, that was nothing more than pocket money for a single month. Even without his family’s influence, his personal businesses generated millions in profits every day.
Seeing Liam hesitate, Mia’s anger flared.
“What’s that look for? Not enough money?” she asked coldly.
“No, it’s just that money doesn’t mean much to me,” Liam replied calmly.
“Hah, you’re quite the actor,” Mia said with a sneer. “It’s one million. Take it or leave it.”
“Remember, I’m the CEO of the Stevens Corporation. If you don’t want the money, I have other ways to make sure you keep your mouth shut... forever.”
Liam chuckled at her words. Just last night, she was like a helpless little lamb. Now, she was pretending to be a mafia boss?
“Don’t worry. I won’t go around telling people,” Liam said lightly.
Of course, he wouldn’t spread it around. Otherwise, his fiancée—
Wait. Stevens Corporation?
His fiancée was none other than the eldest daughter of the Stevens family, Mia Stevens!
Liam froze in place. Could it be...?
“You…” Liam started to speak, but a loud knock at the door interrupted him.
“Mia, open up! I know you’re in there!” a voice shouted from outside.
Hearing the voice outside, Mia's face turned pale.
“This is bad…” she muttered, panic creeping in as she glanced around the room, searching for a way to escape.
Liam watched her, raising an eyebrow. “What’s wrong? Did some enemy come after you? Or… is it someone catching you in the act?”
Mia’s expression darkened as she replied, “Neither… it’s my sister.”
“Your sister? Then why are you so scared?” Liam asked, genuinely puzzled.
Mia let out a bitter laugh but didn’t answer. In her heart, the truth was already clear.
Her grandfather had entrusted the Stevens Corporation to Mia because her sister, Yona, lacked any business acumen. However, Yona believed their grandfather was simply playing favorites. For years, Yona had been scheming against Mia, trying to force her to give up control of the company.
This time, though, Yona had gone to a shocking extreme. She had disregarded Mia’s safety entirely, orchestrating a plan to drug her.
Mia exhaled deeply, her gaze landing on Liam. She had made up her mind.
“Listen,” she said firmly, “when I open that door, you’re going to say you’re my boyfriend. She wants to ruin my reputation and strip me of my inheritance? I won’t let Yona succeed!”

THE VENGEFUL HEIR Live To Fight Tomorrow
“I’m coming with you,” Aria said, and without wasting time, she started packing a few things together. “No way, no,” John said firmly, shaking his head. “There’s no way I’m letting you put yourself in that kind of danger, especially when you just escaped from one.” John protested, but Aria didn’t stop. She kept packing her things, and then John suddenly reached out to grab her, but reached forward and grabbed her hand tightly, but just as quickly, Aria snapped it away.“Don’t try to stop me, John.” She argued. “They tried to kill me, you can’t expect me just to sit back and do nothing.” She spat angrily. “I’m not asking you to do that. Allow me to handle this. Allow me to find this person.” John argued, but Aria didn’t flinch. She stared at him deeply, then turned and walked away. “Meet me by the car.” She said on her way out.John remained frozen in place for a moment, unsure of what to do next. After a while, he heaved a tired sigh and walked outside, joining her in the car.The

THE VENGEFUL HEIR Public Execution
“You ready for this?” John asked, standing behind Aria as the video editor counted down. She had made her claims, and now it was time to make her mark. Aria hesitated for a while, took in a deep breath, and then finally said, “Go,” her eyes still fixed to the screen. In a matter of moments, the video went live. It started with shaky footage, but still it was clear enough. A Concord leader, suited up in a backroom meeting, leaned forward and said the words that would change everything: “As long as Liam’s family controls the Concord, this city will never fully be hers.”Aria watched the clip without blinking. Her voiceover played next, “Let the truth speak for itself.”And after that, the footage was stopped, and the fallout began immediately. It happened within hours. The video had gone viral and spread across every platform, from news outlets to social media.“They’ve been behind the Concord this whole time?” People gossiped all over social media platforms.“You mean Liam’s family?

THE VENGEFUL HEIR The Oath
The wind was sharp that morning. It was cold, but not from the weather. Rather, from a place of loss and grief. Aria had requested to see her father’s grave that morning. She felt she needed something to remind herself, particularly now that she was fighting alone, that she could do it. She could make her vision for this city come true. John had come to pick her up as early as 7 a.m., and in a few minutes, they were already at his tombstone. John stopped and gave Aria some distance. He knew whatever she was looking for here, she wouldn’t find it with him hovering around her. Aria proceeded towards Peter’s grave alone and knelt in front of the marble headstone, her black coat dragging slightly across the morning dew on the grass. Her fingers brushed against the engraved letters like they could somehow bring him back. Her father’s name. His legacy. “I used to think this city was broken, unfair, and cruel,” Aria whispered to the headstone. “But you… You believed it could be better. Yo

THE VENGEFUL HEIR Family Against Dynasty
The next day, Zion decided to take up Lucian’s offer. The morning air was crisp, and sharp with the scent of lilies soaked in the rain. This wasn’t the kind of place anyone would expect a secret meeting between two of the city’s most powerful men to take place. An abandoned chapel on the outskirts of the city. Liam waited on the curb, frequently glancing at his watch. It was 10:05 AM and Lucian was twenty minutes late. Suddenly, a faint hum of an engine reached him and Lucian’s car came to a slow stop at the curb. Zion watched the door slowly as Lucian stepped out, dressed in a tailored coat and dark gloves, walking with his usual calm confidence. But Zion saw the flicker of curiosity in his eyes. Or maybe it was pride. He could tell what Lucian would be thinking now.“You chose quite the location,” Lucian said, his voice smooth. “I thought you liked the spotlight now.” He teased, but Zion didn’t smile. Instead, he crossed his arms above his chest and said. “I didn’t come here to tal
