Chapter 8

“Okay, Young Master. Will get it done right away.“ An ever-loyal Sydney replied without asking further questions.

Not because she was not curious but because she already knew too much about her young master's past and how he was treated by his wife and her family.

Her hands were clenched with anger as she thought about what the richest man in the city had to go through in their hands.

"They deserve it," Sydney muttered under her breath with an air of hatred and disgust.

Before the end of the day, she prepared the divorce agreement and presented it to him.

Quite satisfied with her work, he appreciated her. The next morning, the only thing that he wanted to do was to get over that marriage as soon as he could.

He took his bath, got dressed and had his meal after which he proceeded to their little Villa to get the work done as soon as he could

“She doesn't deserve my love. I would have been behind bars now if Sydney had not come to my aid. Only to meet her on the bed with another man." Lucian growled and his face was already red with so much anger.

Getting over to Aston Villa, he could hear the loud sound of the music coming from the other part of the room.

“What are they celebrating again this time?“ He asked himself as he barged into the living room

A still silence engulfed the hall immediately they set their eyes on him, as though they had seen a ghost.

They were all seated including her new lover, wining and dining.

“I need to get this done as soon as possible.“ He said swiftly to himself with a frown on his face.

But it didn't seem as though any of them in the room were ready to spit out a single word from their lips.

Finally, a familiar voice that always sounded drunk came through. A voice that made the initial frown on his face deepened even more

“I told you guys to forget about that stupid drama he put up the other time. He is certainly going to be back. How can the broke asshole survive the harsh reality of the world.“ She laughed, clutching hard to her stomach until they ached.

But Lucian ignored her words, walking closer and closer towards them.

“And what's the trash doing here again?“ His mother-in-law growled with so much anger in her voice.

“I didn't come to bother anyone.“ Lucian replied. "I will get over this as soon as possible and you will never get to see my face again." He replied with a frown hovering on his face

“You are here to beg for money as always. But before you get along with that. I have some dirty clothes that need to be washed right now"

She noted but once again, she was ignored as he made his way swiftly towards the table.

Ella's face was washed with so much hatred and anger.

“Are you deaf or didn't you just hear the order I gave you?“ She thundered at him but he wasn't going to listen to a single word of what she was saying.

Her face boiled down with so much rage as she advanced slowly toward him, throwing a swift slap in his direction.

But before it could get to him, he held her hand and tossed her swiftly.

“Don't ever try that again.“ He snared.

Her lungs were stripped off of her and her heart racing fast.

Clara rose from her seat swiftly and thundered.

“You fool. What gives you the guts to think that you can do that to my daughter?“ She pointed at him.

Finally getting over to the table, he took off the divorce agreement from the bag that had always been with him and tossed it on the table.

“For you Kelsea.“ There was not even the slightest trace of any emotions in his eyes.

She read through it and hissed.

“A divorce agreement?“ She sneered.

“And what makes you think that you should get the divorce agreement.“

She was already thinking about divorcing him but to think that he was going to do it first tore her ego into shreds.

“You should sign the agreements already. Isn't this what you have always wanted? I overheard your little chat so why not just end this already?“ He inquired trying to keep down his outburst as much as he could.

“And what if I decide not to sign it? What are you going to do? Beat me up or what?“

“Then I will have to do it the legal way by getting a lawyer.“ He replied.

But immediately he spat out the words from his mouth, everyone burst out into laughter but that didn't matter to him as his heart continued to race fast.

"And you are so delusional to think that you can afford one?" She laughed harder.

“I don't have all the time in the world, Kelsea.“ There was a strange sense of Dominance in his voice.

She chuckled getting off her seat

“I will sign the divorce and you are going to regret it.

“Let's see how you are going to survive on the streets. Your one-way ticket to dying.“ Melvin laughed out loud thinking about how stupid he might be.

“And let's see how you are going to remain at the top.“ He replied.

More laughter proceeded from his mouth as he thought about how stupid he might be thinking that he could pull him off from the top.

“And how are you going to do that? Rob some of your poverty stinks on me?“ Melvin laughed even harder.

“Seat back and watch.“ Lucian replied with so much determination in his eyes.

Melvin stood up from the point that he was sitting, walking towards him, and staring at him right in the face.

“Do you realize who I am?“ He inquired.

“You are talking to the soon-to-be manager and a major investor at the biggest company in the city and once I get that position, you will be out of the city.“ Melvin threatens.

But instead of being afraid of those words, Lucian only chuckled at his stupidity.

A faint smile that no one noticed hovered on his face.

“Is that so?“ He thought in his head without letting the words out.

“You just made my job even easier for me.“ He thought with a dark smile springing forth on his face.
