Ch 04: Beating Up Shaun

Bella paused for a moment. Her throat felt constricted, making it difficult for her to breathe freely. The smell of alcohol on Shaun's clothes was quite pungent. Her hands trembled slightly.

"Come on," Shaun said.

Having no other choice, Bella slowly reached for the glass in Shaun's hand, hesitantly. She glanced at Shaun, who was smiling widely, full of hidden intentions.

However, just as Bella was about to take the glass, a strong hand suddenly gripped Shaun's wrist tightly. This startled Shaun, and he spontaneously turned his head to the side.

Leon stood tall with a blank stare. His aura spread in all directions, making Shaun freeze for a moment. Without saying a word, he immediately pulled Shaun, causing the man to crash away from Bella.

"Huh? Who is this guy? Since when has he been here?" Shaun muttered, as wrinkles formed deeply on his forehead. He held his wrist, which felt sore from Leon's strong grip.

The four men with him also seemed surprised by Leon's sudden appearance. Since Bella's arrival, no one had entered the room.

"Fuck!" Shaun shouted, glaring at Leon. He slammed the glass in his hand onto the floor, shattering it and sending shards flying in all directions. "Who are you?!"

"Leon?" Bella said in surprise, frowning slightly and speaking softly. "Since when have you been here? I told you not to come in!"

"They were about to harass you, and as your bodyguard, am I supposed to just stand by and do nothing?"

Leon spoke while putting Bella behind him and looking at the men there one by one, with a vigilant expression.

"Are you even worthy of being called men? Aren't you ashamed to bully a woman?"

"How dare you! Who is this fucking guy?! How did he get in here?!" Brian's voice cut through the air. His jaw trembled, his eyes widened.

Shaun then turned to Bella. "Bella? Is he your man?!"

Bella was stunned to hear that. For a moment, she felt like her heartbeat had stopped. "N-no. I don't know him. Maybe he's a crazy person who wandered into the wrong room."

That answer immediately made Shaun's temples tighten. His gaze became even sharper. He turned to the four men there and said, "What are you waiting for?! Finish him!"

Hearing that, Bella's eyes widened instantly. She was the one who brought Leon to this place. How could she let those men beat up Leon?

She frantically moved in front of Leon and said, "Mr. Shaun? You wanted me to drink your wine, right? I-I'll drink it. Just forget about this crazy guy. Let him leave. Let's have fun."

Shaun snorted with a smirk. His smile made Bella instantly feel a horror she couldn't shake off.

"You think I'm stupid, huh?! I don't care who this guy is and why you're trying to protect him. Because he was disrespectful to me, today I'm going to make him lose a leg!"

"Bella?" Felix interjected. "I respect you so much for your beauty and talent. Don't tell me, just to protect this beggar, you're willing to ruin our good relationship?"

"N-not like that. I just don't want our event to be delayed because of this unimportant person."

"Brian? Separate Bella from that loser!" Shaun asked, making the atmosphere even more tense.

Bella looked panicked. She ran out of ideas to stall for time, giving Leon space to leave quickly.

"Mr. Shaun?"

"Bella? Just let it be." Leon interjected, making Bella's mood even more uneasy. He stepped forward casually, looking at the men there without fear.

"Leon!" Bella lowered her voice until it was barely audible. "This isn't your business. Do you know who you're dealing with?! Don't mess around. Leave now!"

"Hahahaha." Shaun's laughter echoed in the room. "Alright. Since you're ready to lose your leg, then—"

"Enough talk!"

Before Shaun could finish his sentence, Leon interrupted him with a pressing tone. In two breaths, Leon's foot had landed right in front of Shaun.

Shaun's eyes widened instantly. He was very surprised by the speed of the man in front of him.

At the same time, Leon immediately swung his palm towards Shaun's cheek, then followed up with a front kick that squarely hit Shaun's stomach, causing the man to be thrown backward.

Shaun immediately fell to his knees, spitting out fresh blood, after his back slammed hard against the wall. His hands trembled, and pain spread throughout his muscles.

The four men there were also shocked by Leon's speed and toughness. He attacked confidently and without calculation, as if he didn't care who he was facing.

"Leon!" Bella exclaimed, who was also very surprised to see that scene. She immediately ran towards Leon and looked at him with a furrowed brow. "You're crazy! What did you do?!"

She had tried to keep Leon from getting further involved. However, Leon's actions annoyed her. She didn't know how else she should protect this man. Messed up, everything was messed up.

"Uuggh! Fuck! How dare you!" Shaun said in a heavy tone. His sharp gaze then turned to the four men there, and said, "Kill him!"

Felix, Brian, and his two colleagues gritted their teeth one by one and clenched their fists tightly.

"You damn trash! How dare you hit Mr. Shaun! You're dead!" Brian shouted, running to attack.

Leon remained calm and gestured for Bella to stay away. After that, he immediately stepped forward to face his opponent.

Leon swung his fist forward, blocking Brian's punch. His strength was so dominant that Brian screamed in pain after the two fists collided.

Leon then twisted his body and launched a kick that squarely hit Brian's ribs—causing Brian to be thrown to the side and lie on the floor.

Felix and the others immediately attacked him together. However, Leon's speed made it difficult for them, and one by one, they received solid and hard hits from Leon.

"Huh. You little ants want to compete with me in strength?" Leon muttered, then turned to Shaun with a cold expression.

Seeing that scene made Shaun even more emotional. His face turned red as he gritted his teeth. The veins in his temples bulged, his gaze so sharp like a monster wanting to attack its prey brutally.

"You fucking bastard! I'm going to make you die miserably! Hiaaa!"

Shaun immediately got up and lunged at Leon. He attacked blindly, but Leon easily avoided them.

Leon's expression, which seemed to underestimate him, made Shaun's head burn even more. He accelerated his attacks, targeting Leon's vital points.

Leon admitted that Shaun's fighting technique was very good. Shaun was able to deliver intense and measured attacks, even though the man's emotions were currently exploding.

Unfortunately, Shaun was just like an insect in front of him. When he started to strike back, Shaun's defense seemed shaky.

Each swing of his leg and fist delivered at least dozens of kilograms of attack weight. In just a few breaths, the fight could be taken over, and Shaun was again thrown against the wall and fell to his knees.

"Huh. You wanted to break my leg? Your attacks can't even touch me," Leon said, standing tall while looking at Shaun.

"Leon, you?" Bella whispered.

Leon turned his attention to Bella, looked at her, and as if to say 'relax, everything is fine'.

Relax? Bella could only be stunned to see Shaun's battered condition. She was a little shocked, knowing Leon was this strong. No wonder he wasn't afraid at all when facing Vander and his subordinates at the office earlier.

However, no matter how strong Leon was, he couldn't avoid the disaster from the Murph family. The Murph family had several strong cultivators behind them, which made them a respected family in Monharvest.

Plus, they had the support of the Vint family, who currently had a powerful cultivator named Gordon. Attacking Shaun, even to this extent, was certainly a serious matter.

"You damn rat!" Shaun whispered, with a breath that sounded like he was holding back pain.

He tried to support his body so he wouldn't collapse, while reaching into his pocket to take out his cell phone. He immediately sent a message to someone and lifted his face, glaring at Leon.

"You think you've won, huh?! Uncle Xiao will be here soon. If I say you're going to die miserably today, then that's what will happen."

Hearing Shaun mention Uncle Xiao, Bella's eyes widened instantly. Uncle Xiao was a strong cultivator from the Murph family. Messing with him was like giving up your life.

"Huh. Even like this, you still talk so much. Even if your grandfather came, I'd slap him too! Get out of here or I'll—"

"Leon, enough. Let's get out of here, quickly!"

"Bella! I knew you knew this guy. If you dare step out of that door, I guarantee you and Pirette Group will suffer the consequences!"
