“Y-Y-Young Master?!”

Kael, who was accustomed to beheading enemies on the battlefield, was momentarily stunned for a fraction of a second. It was not because he hesitated, but because the brutality of that order transcended the bounds of any political reason. Castrating the Prime Minister’s only son was tantamount to declaring open war on the most powerful bureaucratic faction in the palace.

However, upon seeing Theodore’s pair of black eyes—as dark as a bottomless abyss—Kael knew this was no mere bluff. His young master had shed the last remnants of his naivety and been reborn as a conquering demon.

“Carry it out.” Theodore’s voice was no more than an icy whisper, yet its authoritarian resonance compelled Kael’s body to move instinctively.

“As you command!” roared Kael.

Gerald’s eyes widened so much they nearly popped out of their sockets. The pain in his ribs suddenly vanished, replaced by absolute terror that froze the blood in his veins. His once handsome face was now as pale as paper.

“W-Wait! Theodore! You can’t—Mmph!”

Kael clamped his steel-hard hand around Gerald’s jaw, forcibly silencing him. His right hand deftly drew a curved hunting dagger from his waist. The silver blade reflected a dim light, ready to spill blood.

“NOOO! PLEASE! THEO—AAAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!”

An unbearable, shrill scream erupted within the mahogany chamber. The sound was so horrifying, laden with suffering and despair that it tore at Gerald’s own vocal cords.

Watching her secret lover being dragged away like a pet, Lily’s face flushed crimson with rage and humiliation.

“Theodore, you really are a devil!” Lily screamed, pointing at Theodore’s face with a finger trembling violently. Her eyes bulged with fury as she stared at Theodore with utter revulsion.

“This marriage is off! Until the day I die, I will never consent to live with a cruel man like you!”

Hearing that threat, Theodore stopped in his tracks. Slowly, he turned and looked at Lily.

Far from looking afraid or worried at such a threat, a thin, self-mocking smirk was etched across his handsome face.

“Call off the wedding?” Theodore chuckled softly. His laughter sounded melodious but was laced with deadly venom. “A truly brilliant idea, Princess.”

Lily’s breathing quickened. She’d thought her threat had succeeded in making Theodore cower. For the past three years, this cheap tactic had always succeeded in bringing Theodore to his knees, begging her.

However, Theodore’s next words shattered that illusion into a thousand pieces.

“The door is wide open,” said Theodore calmly, his eyes scanning Lily’s body from head to toe. “But before you step out of my residence… leave everything that belongs to me here.”

Lily’s brow furrowed sharply. “W-what do you mean, Theodore?!”

“The ice-silk gown, the diamond necklace, the ring, right down to the shoes on your feet. All bought with the North’s military wealth,” hissed Theodore. He stepped forward, letting his murderous aura press down on Lily until she retreated, cornered at the edge of the bed. “If you want this relationship to end, take it all off. Right now.”

Lily’s face instantly flushed crimson. Shock and shame exploded violently within her chest. “Y-you’re telling me to strip myself naked?! I’m a princess!”

“Take them off yourself, or my soldiers will tear them off and throw you out onto the streets completely naked,” Theodore threatened without the slightest hesitation. “Choose.”

Looking into those cold, black eyes, Lily realised Theodore wasn’t bluffing. This man was truly capable of doing it.

With trembling hands and tears of humiliation streaming down her face, Lily began to remove her jewellery.

Clink!

One by one, the symbols of her false status fell to the marble floor. Finally, with her lips bitten until they bled, the silk wedding gown slid down.

Lily now stood clad only in sheer underwear. Her body shivered with cold; her self-respect had been trampled into oblivion. Not a trace of her pride remained.

Yet, amidst the shame that was burning away her sanity, Lily’s ego and delusions—as a woman who had always been adored—took hold once more.

She stared at Theodore’s impassive face. Her arrogance suddenly surged again, transforming her shame into a sickening, cynical sneer.

“Hahh… I understand now,” Lily hissed, deliberately thrusting out her chest, which was covered only by a thin piece of fabric. “You’re actually just jealous, aren’t you?!”

Her voice echoed with false confidence. “You’re doing this mad stunt because you’re jealous that Gerald managed to have my body, whilst for three years you could only stare at me like a starving dog!”

Lily stepped forward with a defiant glare, as if she’d just discovered her trump card. Faintly, Gerald’s horrified screams could still be heard echoing from outside the window.

Lily bit her lower lip, trying to use the last and cheapest weapon she had: the allure of her body.

“All right! You win!” she exclaimed arrogantly. “If you desire me so much… I’ll give you my body. Right here on this bed. Right now.”

Lily stared intently into Theodore’s dark eyes, stepping ever closer, her expression so pitiful it made Theodore feel sick.

“All right, Theodore. Sleep with me. I’m willing to be yours right now… as long as you let Gerald live!”

The rage and fear boiling in Emperor Aldous’s head erupted instantly in the wrong direction. Instead of heeding his daughter’s ramblings, the Emperor’s gaze swept over Theodore, who was still staring at him with a cold, scornful grin. To save his throne, to quell the fury of the Northern wolves lest they burn the entire capital to the ground, the old tyrant immediately made the cruelest decision! “Young Master Theodore!” cried Emperor Aldous, his hoarse and hurried voice shattering the silence of the courtyard. His wrinkled hand trembled in the air. "Pay no heed to this woman! The Palace has absolutely no intention of protecting her! Her crimes are unforgivable, and if you so wish… I myself shall execute Lily right here to atone for her sins against you!" Lily Spencer’s eyes widened in shock; her breath caught in her throat as if struck by lightning in broad daylight upon hearing the Emperor’s decree. “W-what… Father?!” Before Lily’s common sense could process those terrif

Emperor Aldous strode forward onto the courtyard with his chin held high. A ceremonial sword set with a red gem hung at his waist, whilst all around him, four mounted master bodyguards fixed their gaze on Theodore. Upon seeing her father standing before the mansion gates, a sudden, hysterical scream erupted from behind Theodore’s ranks. “FATHERRRR!” Lily Spencer stumbled out of the underground passageway. Her luxurious gown was torn to shreds, soaked through with mud and Gerald’s dried blood. Her once-admired beautiful face was now marred by streams of tears of fear. The woman leapt down the stone steps in a panic, ignoring the soldiers’ shouts. She immediately pushed her way through the ranks of the Cordova clan’s guards, who deliberately let her pass at Theodore’s signal. THUD! Lily threw herself onto the dusty ground right in front of Emperor Aldous’s silk boots. Her trembling hands immediately clutched the hem of the ruler’s dragon-embroidered robe, clinging tightly to

Theodore jerked his wrist, twirled the blade of the Northern Sky-Splitter, then sheathed it at his waist in one decisive motion. The clang of metal rang out loudly, shattering the silence of the dungeon before he stepped past Lily, who was still curled up on the stone floor. “David, take the troops to the foot of the stairs,” Theodore ordered, addressing his elder sister Serena’s commander. He kept a watchful eye, awaiting the Emperor’s arrival. “Do not let anyone breach the disposal area,” he continued, coldly. “Aye, Young Master!” David nodded briskly and immediately gave a hand signal. A dozen guards clad in black steel armor tightened their formation, raising their spears and meteorite shields as they climbed the stairs toward the outer courtyard of the Ford residence. The clatter of their steel boots rang out in unison, echoing off the cold stone walls of the underground passageway. Behind them, Serena drew her long sword half a handspan from its scabbard. Her sha

He begged and wailed, yet not a single soul in that dungeon showed the slightest trace of pity. The Northern soldiers watched him with cold disgust and grim satisfaction, remembering the torment their commander had suffered only the previous night at the hands of this cripple. The torture pressed on without pause. A sharp scalpel began slicing through the flesh of his chest, flaying the outer skin just as had been done to Kael. Gerald—already permanently maimed, drained of blood, his cultivation network corroded by venom—could hold out no longer. His screams slowly dissolved into a thin, wheezing rasp, until at last his head slumped limply against his sternum. Moments later... The spasms wracking his limbs stilled. His faint heartbeat sputtered and died beneath the relentless weight of the agony. Gerald Ford could endure the torment no longer, drawing his final breath upon the iron chains. A soldier stepped forward to examine Gerald’s neck, pressing two fingers against t

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! Every swing of the Iron Cavalry soldier’s arm was accompanied by the loud thud of tearing flesh. “ARRGHH!!” Gerald writhed in the air like a worm in the heat. The skin on his back was flayed away, revealing deep red muscle fibers smeared with thick, dirty blood. His shrill wails echoed off the stone walls of the dungeon, filling the entire room with the pungent, blood-soaked stench that stung the nostrils. Lily Spencer, who was witnessing this horrific scene from the corner of the room, covered her mouth with both hands, which were trembling violently. Her teeth chattered loudly, her eyes bulging with utter horror as she watched the lover she had once been so proud of being utterly destroyed. Theodore stepped toward the torture table, his eyes scanning the rusty instruments upon it. “Take the nail-pulling pliers and the thin scalpel.” “Ready!” The second soldier picked up the rusted iron pincers and strode resolutely toward Gerald’s hanging body. Theodore took a step forward, his eyes flashing with oppressive rage as he looked at Gerald Ford. “Gerald Ford, you’re a proper bastard! You’re already a cripple without your legs, and I even hacked your manhood right off until there was nothing left,” hissed Theodore as he swung the Northern Sky-Splitter, the tip of the blade pointing directly between Gerald Ford’s eyes. “Yet even with that ruined body of yours, your cruelty is still utterly appalling! You tortured my men like wild beasts; you’re truly no human at all!” Gerald jerked backward until his back slammed against the backrest of his wheelchair, trembling violently as he met the young man’s gaze; he was so terrified that he toppled out of his wheelchair. “Theodore… Theo! D-don’t come any closer! It was the soldiers who did it, not me personally! I… I was ordered by the Emperor!” Theodore snorted in disgust, letting his Grandmaster’s oppressive aura weigh down the air in the room, and he replied with contempt. “
