“Yeah, I agree with Donald.” Glover commented. “You're becoming too careless, Adolphus and your actions may cost you your education.”

"And remember, we're in our final year which are very delicate times. You can't afford to be careless at this time.”

"Even though we're yet to comprehend what's going on with you.”

“Don't worry about me, guys. Let's just go home, I'm tired already and it's been a very long day for us.”

Adolphus led the way and his friends followed but were interrupted by someone.

“Wait up, guys.”

Turning around to the direction of the voice, the friends saw Abigail hurrying up to them. She had witnessed the drama with Adolphus and Richmond and came to learn what had transpired between them.

Abigail ran up to them, breathing heavily like someone who was on a marathon.

When she finally calmed down, she turned to Adolphus and asked with so much concern in her voice.

“Adolphus, tell me what happened between you and Richmond. What did he do to you?”

"He used Svetlana and lured him to the abandoned chemistry laboratory where they knocked him out and locked him up.” Donald was the one who gave the response because he was sure it'd be hard for Adolphus to say something.

His action earned him a hard nudge on the shoulder by Aloysius who was obviously disappointed.

He didn't ask Donald to speak on his behalf but the latter was not bothered about what Adolphus thought.

With their eyes fixed on Abigail, they saw the shocking look on her face.

She was a little disappointed in Adolphus but didn't show it.

“But how was she able to convince you to meet her up after everything that has happened between you two in the past?" Abigail inquired but quickly waved it off.

"It's ok, Adolphus. But why did you have to confront him before everyone? It's really risky and you know how Richmond can be.”

"Don't worry about me, Abigail. Just go back and enjoy your party. I'm going home with my friends. And about your umbrella, I'll return next time."

"Thank you for always looking out for me.”

Adolphus did not forget what Abigail did for him the previous night. She also came around their hostel to check on him.

It was just so bad that he still saw her as another Graham. And the Grahams are his enemies.

Turning to Donald and Glover, Adolphus said to them. “Come on guys, let's go home. I'm sorry for all the stress I put you through.”

"It's fine, let's just go home. I'm tired already.” Glover waved at Abigail and led the way while the others followed behind.

They boarded a cab but as soon as they got in, Adolphus's phone began to ring.

It was his mother on the line but Adolphus did not answer the call. Instead, he put it on silent.

The phone rang again and his friends insisted that he stopped ignoring his mother's call.

In fact, they wanted to know if there was a problem between the mother and son.

The Adolphus they knew would never let his mother continue calling him without answering the call.

“Why are you ignoring your mother's call? Do you want her to get so worried and start having negative thoughts about you."

“Yeah, she may think that something bad has happened to you. You know how mothers can be.” Glover commented as he thought about what his mother would actually do in such a situation.

If he didn't answer her call twice, she'd assume that something bad had happened to her precious son.

Glover's mother would start calling all the people close to him to find out what was going on.

On the other hand, Donald no longer has a mother but he knew the feeling. He remembered how his mother used to worry about him in his early teenage age when she was still alive.

Unfortunately, she died some years ago, leaving him and his father.

Adolphus forced a smile at Glover and nodded. “I'll call her later."

Before he finished speaking, his phone began to ring again and he had no choice but to answer the call.

"Adol, why haven't you been answering my calls? Are you ok?”

"I'm fine, Mom.”

"Are you sure you're fine?"

“I'm doing great, Mom. In fact, I've never been better." Adolphus replied with a hint of pride in his voice.

He was standing up to the so-called big boy on campus and that's thanks to his new identity.

It was also thanks to his grandmother who gave him all her money.

“It's good to see you happy, my dear. You deserve all the best life has to offer. And I saw your message, that's a very lovely piece of jewelry.”

"Thank you, dear.”

"It's fine, Mom. Take care of yourself.”

Adolphus had to end the call immediately. He didn't want them speaking further and getting his friends more suspicious.

Meanwhile, at the McAllens mansion. A woman in her early forties sat gracefully at the garden in the yard.

She was scrolling through her phone with a serious expression on her face while sipping some wine.

Just then, Sandra's car drove in and she went into the house without being acknowledged by her daughter-in-law.

In fact, Ursula McAllen pretended not to notice the presence of her mother-in-law even though there wasn't much distance apart between them.

Ursula continued strolling through her phone but quickly dialed a number when Sandra was out of sight.

The person on the other line answered immediately.

“I hope you have some news for me. Tell me what you found out because I have a feeling that my husband and mother-in-law are hiding things from me."

“Ma'am, your mother-in-law met up with a young man at the hotel. I'm yet to learn his identity."

Adolphus was caught off guard by the gesture and hesitated, but Donald quickly reached out and took the bags.“Thank you so much, ma. I'm very sure that we're going to enjoy your food.”Donald was smiling hard as he glanced into the bags and saw many dishes inside. The food will serve them for the rest of the day, and the remainder will be refrigerated and preheated the next day for breakfast. He was so looking forward to enjoying the homemade meals on his hands.Gina smiled warmly, nodded a few times with pursed lips, and began to leave the place without looking back. Svetlana wanted to run after her mother, but Richmond held her back. “I'm always here for you, Svet. Don't let all that she said trouble you. Her friends, Hope, and Prisca could not move an inch after the unexpected slap. They just stood at a spot, sobbing and nursing their faces. They were very rude and thought everyone would take shit from them. Unfortunately, Gina was not one to cower and sob because some girls on the same age as her daughter said some horrible things to her.She was a very strong-willed woman and was doing her best to give her two daughters the best life she could afford. Unfortunately, Svetlana had sworn to be foolish, unlike her younger sister, who's a smart teenager. Gina, with bloodshot eyes, turned to face Svetlana, glaring daggers at her daughter. “You are a foolish young lady who's even ashamed of her mother. You're ashamed of who you are. And look at the kind of friends you're keeping.”Gina sucked her teeth while shaking her head in disgust. “I feel sorry for you. And if
