“Well, as expected, you’re back,” said a voice.

Rafael and his team froze as several men in black emerged from the shadows—about fifteen of them, each armed.

“We’ve been looking everywhere for you. Fortunately, you walked right into our trap, Leonard, Elena,” said a burly man named Augus.

Another figure stepped forward among them. “Well, well, look who we have here. Long time no see, Rafael,” greeted a man—it was none other than Elias.

“You know him?” Augus asked.

“Of course. A former Mauve employee who stole money,” Elias chuckled.

“You’re slandering me!” Rafael snapped.

“Slander? Come on, Rafael, all the evidence points to you,” Elias laughed.

“Wow, all the criminals from NextWave are here. A copycat, a data thief, and an embezzler. Impressive,” Augus mocked. “Looks like we’ll be dragging them to Matteo.”

Rafael stepped out of his room upon hearing the commotion. He walked towards the cafe and was surprised to see several thugs there.
