170. End and Beginning

All Kalix could see was darkness. He did not know where he was or what time it was. His mind was filled with the bloody figure of Eugene. He felt pain in his heart, regret, anger, and all sorts of emotions raging inside him one by one, making him increasingly despondent. Squatting down and hugging his knees, Kalix did not know how to release the emotions in his heart.

He could not laugh, could not get angry, could not do anything. It's as if his body was made to remain silent.

In that boundless darkness, a mechanical voice suddenly echoed.

"Hello, Host Kalix Owen!"

Hearing that, Kalix immediately looked up. He remembered, there was a system that could help him, a chance for him to fix everything. Yes, he remembered, he had called upon the system, awakened the system that could assist him.

"System! System, are you there?!" Kalix searched around in the darkness hoping he would find the system he was looking for.

In despair, he suddenly found hope.
