There’s a smile on Mr. Davies's face. “That is very simple young master. I want you to come back and claim what rightfully belongs to you.”
Gonzalez scoffs and says,
"You want me to come back and claim everything?"
"Yes, everything young master" Mr. Davies replies
"With all respect, do not call me young master, I am yet to wrap my head around all of this" Gonzalez objects
"Whatever you wish but this is important"
"Need I remind you that because of these assets, my parents were murdered and I am the only heir? Wouldn't it be too dangerous to just claim all of it at once?" Gonzalez asks, worry written all over his face.
"Right" Mr. Davies agrees
"What do you suggest then?" He asked turning to Gonzalez
"We keep this betwixt us for the time being" Gonzalez advised
"Seeing as my dad's enemies are still out there" Gonzalez continued
"Indeed" Mr. Davies agreed, nodding his head
"My family's assets especially the companies, how many are there?" Gonzalez asks, curious
"More than you can imagine. I have been able to expand as well for the past years"
"How many?" Gonzalez inquires, wanting to know
"Is it up to 10?" Gonzalez insists
"Hmm," Mr. Davies replies smiling.
It could only mean one thing, the companies were indeed more than he could imagine "But I can't go back home without a job, can you at least transfer two companies to me for now? Funds too" Gonzalez asks"Yes, please. With all pleasure, but I'd need you to open a secret bank account in your name so I can transfer some funds as well to it"
"That would be great," An excited Gonzalez says
"I hear you got married, how is marriage treating you?"
"Ah, very well, thank you" Gonzalez answers
"And your wife?"
"The best I could have asked for"
"Might I suggest you keep this from her, I mean no offense but seeing she is a daughter to the Williams" Mr. Davies advised
"If you think, my wife would let me out like that, you're wrong" Gonzalez objected
"I didn't mean that, it's just that women cannot be trusted especially when they are under pressure" Mr. Davies added
"I need to head home now, thank you so much for all these years. I only wished my parents were here to witness this, see how faithful and loyal their butler had been" Gonzalez appreciated
"I would do it over and over and again, it is an honor, Sir" Mr. Davies responded
"And you object, you better get used to it, no way I can call you by your name" Mr. Davies stopped Gonzalez just when he was about to speak.
"I will be in touch then"
"Be sure to. I will await further instructions" Mr. Davies responds waving him off.
(The Gonzalez's Residence)
Natasha is too excited about her baby and her husband finally landing a job, she prepares his favorite meal for him, expectant for when he would return home. She had wanted to call him and ask him how he went but decided against it.Patience my dear, she thought. He would come back home, she reassured herself.
Just then her phone rings and she rushes towards it, hoping it would be Gonzalez only to find it was a family group call, they did that from time to time when they had important things to discuss.
"Hey" Natasha started
"Where is that ungrateful man you call a husband?" Sylvester jeered
"Sly! He is my husband" Natasha chided
"He is no husband, one who cannot find a job for himself" Mrs. Williams chipped in
"How can such a man possibly care for his family?" She added
"Mom, what happened today? Did you not give him the job?" A worried Natasha asks
"Did he not get home yet? Oh, he's cheating on her" Mrs. Williams gasped, turning to her husband
"Hear" she added
"Babe?" A voice started in the background, it was Gonzalez, and he was back home.
"Look, guys, I have to go now. Talk to you later" Natasha said
"Wait, we have even discussed why I made this call yet" Mrs. Williams objected
"Well, you decided to use the time to talk about my husband" Natasha chided
"That aside, we have a problem. The company is going bankrupt, and we need to do something about it" Mr. Williams finally spoke out
"Since I was pushed out of the company, there isn't probably much that I can do, can I?" Natasha mocked
"Actually, there is something you can do, Natasha," Mr. Williams says
"Oh, I would love to hear it" Natasha jeered
"Remember Mr. Thomas?" Mrs. Williams chipped in
"Yes? What has he got to do with this?" Natasha asks
"His offer of marriage to you is still on the table, this would help solve all our financial problems" Mrs. Williams explained
"I do not understand," A confused Natasha says
"You do not have to understand. Only think of your family and the company at this moment" Mrs. Williams says
"Ma, the only family that I know now is Gonzalez and our unborn baby" Natasha objects
"I hoped that we would do this the easy way," Mr. Williams says, shaking his head in regret or disapproval, Natasha could not tell
"You will listen to me and abort that thing in your womb you call a baby" Mrs. Williams screamed
"We didn't have to tell you, but we did anyways out of respect for you" she added
"Look, I have to go now," Natasha says and hangs up
"Baby?" Gonzalez calls out
"Honey, I'm right here" Natasha replies
"I thought you were asleep," Gonzalez says
"Oh honey, no. I was on the phone with my family, and I heard, I am so sorry my mom decided not to take you up on the job, I had thought that she would this time, she promised me" Natasha says
He didn't want to say he told her so, but he did."It's alright baby, I got a job anyways," Gonzalez says smiling
"Really? Oh my God! This is exciting news" Natasha screamed, hugging him so tightly
"Yes, it is"
"Tell me, how?" A curious Natasha asks
"I am tired dear, we will discuss this now. Let's just celebrate this" Gonzalez responded
"Sure, we will" Natasha hugs him again.
