Dear readers and lovers of RFP,
Thank you… truly for your constant support, your patience, your continuous love, and the understanding you never fail to show. It means more to me than words can fully express. First of all, compliments of the season to you all. This year has been a long and arduous journey, filled with its own share of ups and downs, losses and victories. Yet somehow, now, it’s slowly coming to an end, and despite everything, we are still here… and that alone is something to be grateful for. It may not have been the best year for many of us, but as long as there is life, there is hope. I sincerely pray that the coming year will be the best we’ve ever experienced, one filled with growth, breakthroughs, victories, and countless achievements. To the souls we lost this year… may it be loved ones, friends, family members, colleagues, and even some of our readers who didn’t stop reading by choice, but were taken too soon, receiving the never-expected visit from the Grim Realer… my deepest condolences. May your souls continue to rest in perfect peace. And to those who are sick, injured, or facing one challenge or another, I wish you healing, strength, and the peace your heart longs for. Once again, compliments of the season to you all. …. Now, to the main reason for this message. Due to circumstances completely beyond my control, I won’t be able to update RFP again this month. Updates will resume fully on the 1st of January. I sincerely ask for your patience and understanding during this time, as you’ve always shown me. I promise to make it up to you, and once updates resume, I will do my best to release four or more chapters daily to cover for the missed time. I know this is the holiday season, and many of you were looking forward to spending it enjoying the story. I truly understand that, and I wish there were a way around this… but honestly, there isn’t. At the moment, I’m out of town attending my best friend’s wedding, as his best man and I’m also spending time on vacation with my family. Yes, I’ve tried to write during my free moments, but I’ve realized it just isn’t working. The current phase of RFP requires deep thinking, careful planning, and solid plotting to give it the satisfying progression and ending it deserves. Writing it without being fully present creatively would only do the story… and you a disservice. For that, I ask for your forgiveness and patience. Another reason for the pause is to allow me to properly wrap up my other book, which has already been scheduled with my editor to be completed this month, so I can begin a new and exciting project in the coming year. Once again, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I thank you for standing by me… or with RFP, as usual. Thank you. With gratitude, Your writer, Rex MagnusLatest Chapter
Chapter 1441 – The Driver’s Horror II
*****By the time the driver finally reached his home, the taxi looked as though it had survived an armed robbery, a natural disaster, and a deeply personal grudge from the road itself. But the driver didn’t care.He flung the door open and rushed out of the car like a man whose backside had just been set on fire, sprinted toward his tiny one-bedroom apartment, and burst inside so violently that he nearly tore the curtain off the doorway. His wife, who had been outside doing laundry, was so startled she almost dropped the basin in her hands.“Husband?” she cried out, jolting upright in alarm. But the man didn’t answer. He tore past her, barged into the bedroom, launched himself onto the bed, grabbed the duvet, and covered himself from head to toe like a terrified child hiding from thunder. Beneath the blanket, his entire body shook so violently that the bed frame rattled in sympathy. The wife stood there for a second, completely flabbergasted. Then concern exploded across her face, an
Chapter 1440 – The Driver’s Horror
*****Inside the taxi.At this moment, the driver was aware of everything going on around him, but for a reason he couldn’t understand, he simply couldn’t regain control of his body, no matter how hard he tried. It was as though his spirit had been locked inside a body that no longer belonged to him… a body that could still hear, still see, and still understand, yet refused to obey even the simplest command. And that… that terrified him more than anything else.Especially after hearing the earlier voices outside, hearing men scream, cry, and flee like lunatics, and seeing with his own eyes the exact moment everyone bolted for their lives as though a demon king had just graciously decided to spare them.Honestly, he hadn’t been like this before. No, the moment it all truly went wrong was when he saw Xavier walking toward him. That single sight had nearly torn his soul out of his body.He had been so frightened that he froze solid on the spot, his mind going blank, his blood turning to
Chapter 1439 – “What… What If He Hasn’t Really Left?”
*****Every mercenary and private soldier still conscious… and still fortunate enough to possess a functional mind began to sob in relief. Some dropped to their knees, some clutched their chests like men who had just survived ten consecutive heart attacks, and others lifted their faces to the sky and cried so loudly one would think they had been reborn on the spot.Pride? Dignity? Reputation? Those things had all been strangled to death the moment Xavier casually walked past them like they weren’t worth the effort of crippling. And honestly, after wetting themselves, shaking like leaves in a hurricane, and nearly dying of fear from a man who didn’t even bother glaring at them, none of them really had an image left to protect.“I swear on my ancestors, I’m resigning first thing tomorrow morning!”“Tomorrow? I’m resigning once I leave here!”“Leave here? I had sworn to God that if I ever survive today’s ordeal, I am going back to my village immediately to become a farmer!”The chaotic s
Chapter 1438 – The Street’s Relief
*****Soon, over five minutes had passed since Xavier departed, yet not a single person had returned to their senses, let alone reacted. The street remained deathly still, as though the souls of everyone present had been scooped out and carried away with him, leaving behind nothing but empty bodies and frozen faces. The mercenaries and private soldiers continued staring in the direction he had vanished, their expressions blank, their limbs stiff, and their minds still trapped in the same horrifying scene from moments ago.The air itself seemed reluctant to move, as if even the wind were afraid that if it made too much noise, Xavier might somehow hear it and casually decide to come back. Then…“He… he has left,” a mercenary stuttered at last. His voice was so weak, so raspy, and so thoroughly drenched in fear that under normal circumstances, the man would have been the first to deny it belonged to him.It sounded like someone had dragged a rusty blade across a broken flute and somehow
Chapter 1437 – Xavier’s Departing Words
*****Xavier simply walked past the groups of mercenaries and private soldiers as though they were nothing more than part of the background and continued forward step after step.Eventually, he reached the completely crazed and unhinged brothers, and instantly… every trace of madness inside them evaporated.Fear reclaimed complete control, their expressions changing so quickly it was almost artistic. One moment, the two brothers looked like lunatics who needed to be locked away, but the next, they looked like men who had suddenly realized the Grim Reaper was coming back to claim their souls once and for all.Cold sweat streamed down their faces in batches, their breathing became ragged, and their eyes trembled violently.Still, Xavier showed no intention of stopping. He continued walking. One step, two steps, three, then suddenly…He stopped. The simple action nearly scared the living daylights out of everyone still conscious. Instantly, their hearts skipped beats simultaneously, and
Chapter 1436 – Xavier’s Remorse
*****Xavier just walked past them as though they didn't exist… as though they weren't even worth acknowledging.Seeing this, the mercenaries and soldiers froze for a second, then their mouths slowly fell open, all of them staring blankly at him as he walked past them without pausing, slowing down, or sparing them a glance. It was… completely unexpected.Meanwhile, Xavier continued forward without slowing down. His pace remained steady, and his expression remained unreadable.Eventually, Xavier reached the taxi, and… he stopped. The driver was completely frozen solid at this moment, looking so petrified that he seemed to have transformed into a statue, especially with his already deathly pale complexion. His hands remained locked around the steering wheel, his eyes wide and unfocused, as though his soul had temporarily abandoned its post and was currently hiding somewhere very far away.Seeing him like this, Xavier didn't react for a second. Then he let a small, unreadable sigh."You
