Henry stepped cautiously into the next chamber, his bow already drawn. His eyes widened.
Felix lay crumpled on the cold stone floor, his body soaked in blood. Three orcs already lay dead around him, but the remaining two stood agile with their tusked mouths twisting in cruel satisfaction. The orcs stiffened when they sensed Henry's presence. Slowly, they turned, confusion flashing across their brutish faces. He was supposed to be dead. They had believed their chief had already finished him. Henry's voice cracked with rage. "No… what have you done!?" The orcs glanced at one another, snarling, before charging at him in unison. Henry exhaled sharply, steadied his bow, and loosed two arrows in rapid succession. *Whew* *Whew* Both arrows struck true, burying deep into their throat. The monsters collapsed with heavy thuds, twitching once before falling still. [You've just killed an unarmored Orc +10 Experience point ] [You've just killed an unarmored Orc +10 Experience point] Henry dropped his bow and rushed to Felix's side. He knelt, trembling, only to see blood pouring freely from Felix's chest wound. "I'm… sorry," Felix stammered, his lips trembling. "Wish… I could still… help." "I should've stayed close to you" Henry whispered with tears falling from his eyes, and then, with one final gasp, Felix was gone. "Foolish orcs… " Henry whispered as more tears dropped from his eyes. "Rest in peace Felix...." Henry closed his eyes, inhaling shakily, and forced himself to move. A faint shimmer caught his attention, just above the bodies of the slain orcs, crystals floated, glowing faintly. Henry reached out and seized one, his thoughts flashing back to the fallen orc chief. 'The Orc Chief might have dropped a crystal as well.' Trusting his instincts, Henry retraced his steps. And there it was, hovering just above the massive corpse of the orc chief, a crystal pulsed with pale light. Without hesitation, Henry grabbed both crystals, swallowing them down. His armor and sword gleamed faintly under the dim light. "I won't let this go to waste." Piece by piece, he stripped the orc chief of his gear, grunting at the weight. He shoved the armor and sword into his inventory. "Heavier than I thought…" On his way back, he collected five more orc swords, storing them quickly. He then opened the door at the room where the orc's has butchered humans. Light spilled through, and Henry's heart skipped. "Outside?" he whispered. "Am I… done with the dungeon?" (Yes. You have completed the dungeon.) A new notification appeared. [You have reached the End of the Dungeon] Relief hit him like a wave. "Yes!" Henry shouted. He stepped out, breathing in the night air, cool wind brushed across his face. After walking a short while, he spotted a fruit-laden tree. The sight made his mouth water, though he realized he hadn't felt hunger since his last meal. "Rai… why don't I feel hungry anymore?" (Food and rest restores health. When health is full, hunger does not occur.) "Ah… I see. So that's how it works here." He smiled faintly. "Still… those fruits look too ripe to ignore." With a quick flick of his slingshot, he shot a stem, and the fruit dropped neatly to the ground. He bit into it, juice running down his chin. "Delicious." Leaning against the tree trunk, he gazed at the stars above. His thoughts grew heavy. "So this is my life now. A goblin. No hunger when health is full. Forced to kill to grow stronger. I never imagined this… but if survival demands it, then I'll endure. There has to be a reason for my reincarnation." Minutes passed in silence until a rustle in the darkness snapped him alert. He straightened, bow in hand. Two glowing red eyes pierced the shadows. "What… is that?" The creature stepped into the moonlight, a rabbit, small yet strange, a sharp horn jutting from its forehead. Henry narrowed his eyes. "Inspect." Henry rolled aside, pulled his bowstring , and released. *Whew* The arrow made a slight whistle as it hits it's target. The rabbit's head snapped back, and its body dropped lifelessly. [You have just killed a Horned Rabbit] [+10 Experience point] Henry wiped his brow, panting. "A rabbit… this dangerous? What kind of world is this…" He stared at the rabbit for a while then grabbed the crystal floating inches away from it's body. "Finally… I can evolve." He swallowed the crystal whole. Chapter 58 History Book
Henry stared at Juliet, his breath uneven. He was lost in words and didn't know what to say.Juliet’s eyes softened for a moment, then hardened again. “I don’t know why I’m attached to you, Henry,” she said quietly. “I know nothing about you.” She brushed past him, giving him a slight shove as she walked ahead.Henry sighed, rubbing his neck. “Last time I told her where I really came from, she didn’t believe me,” he muttered under his breath. Shaking his head, he followed her down the dusty path toward the merchant’s house.“Juliet!” he called. She didn’t answer. Her pace didn’t even slow. When they reached the merchant’s residence, Juliet entered first. Henry followed, keeping a respectful distance. Hours passed before Wednesday and Vorden finally arrived, looking exhausted but pleased. They gathered in the sitting room, talking about the quest and the strange beasts they’d faced. Henry caught Juliet’s eyes once—but she turned away almost instantly, pretending to focus on her food.D
Chapter 57 You lied
Henry’s feet pounded against the forest floor as he muttered under his breath, " Alright let's play a little.”Behind him, the thunder of hooves shook the ground. The evolved Fang Boar bellowed furiously and charged. Henry darted between trees, glancing around. Then he spotted one, a tall oak with a sturdy branch angled perfectly for climbing.“Got you,” he whispered. He leapt, caught the branch, and hauled himself upward in one clean motion. The boar crashed against the base of the tree, its tusks scraping bark and splintering wood. It glared up at him, snorting hot air through flared nostrils.“Nice chase” Henry muttered, tightening his grip on the branch as the beast rammed the trunk again and again. Each strike sent shivers up the wood. The tree groaned in protest, its roots loosening as soil shifted beneath it. Henry felt the tremors vibrate through his feet.“Alright, buddy, that’s enough,” he muttered, looking down at the fanged brute that refused to quit.He sighed. “I'll sti
Chapter 56 Fanged Boar
“What is it? Why are you smiling?” the receptionist asked, narrowing her eyes slightly, curiosity playing at the corners of her lips. Henry blinked, snapping out of his daze. “Nothing,” he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. His eyes accidentally drifted down for the valley at her chest but darted away before she could notice. “Come on, guys! Let’s get this quest started!” Wednesday spoke. They left the guild together but soon split up, each heading toward their respective quest destinations. Henry followed the rough map printed on the back of his quest sheet, his boots crunching softly on the gravel road. “I’m only supposed to kill two Fang Boars and bring their crystals back,” he murmured to himself, holding the quest paper against the wind. “Even if I take down twenty, no one would know. The extra crystals would all be mine.” He grinned a little at the thought. But as he walked through the busy street leading to the capital gate, his attention was caught by a famili
Chapter 55 First Guild Quest
Juliet’s soft voice broke the momentary silence. “What’s wrong?” she asked from behind, noticing the woman’s fixed gaze on Henry. “I don’t know,” the woman replied, her brows furrowed. “Something feels… different about his face.” Juliet chuckled, stepping closer with a teasing smile. “Yeah, he’s handsome, right? Most people even mistake him for a girl.” “Maybe.” The woman shrugged, brushing it off before walking away. Henry, however, knew she wasn’t just admiring him, she had sensed something unusual. She was a high-level adventurer, skilled and perceptive. If she had truly seen through him, he might’ve been in trouble. There were too many adventurers here for him to escape unnoticed if something went wrong. 'Almost got caught' Henry thought with a sigh of relief. Minutes later, the receptionist returned, holding several small cards. “Congratulations,” she said with a polite smile as she handed them out. “You’re now official F-Rank adventurers. Welcome to the guild.” He

“We’d like to register as adventurers,” Vorden said confidently to the receptionist behind the counter. The woman looked up from her desk and smiled politely. “Wait a moment.” She pulled open a drawer, retrieved a small stack of forms, and spread them neatly before the group.“Please fill these out first,” she said.Henry stared at the paper in front of him, feeling lost. The only things he could confidently fill in were his name and age. Vorden, however, was already writing swiftly, so Henry subtly peeked at his sheet for clues and managed to complete his own form with some effort.Once they were done, the receptionist began explaining the rules and responsibilities of adventurers, how guild ranks worked, the importance of missions, and the conduct expected from every registered member. She had clearly done this many times before, her tone professional yet patient. Henry listened with extra attention; everything about this world was new to him, and he didn’t want to miss a detail.Wh
Chapter 53 Guild Receptionist
Panic rippled through the group as they rushed toward Henry, their faces tight with fear and confusion. “Don’t worry, guys. I’ll be alright,” Henry muttered, forcing a calm smile even as his mind spun. His body slowly began to heal from within. “Maids!” the merchant barked, his voice sharp at first, then quickly softening into reassurance. “Don’t panic, Henry. It’s just a cut. You’ll be fine. The healer lives only a stone’s throw away.” Vorden dropped beside Henry, guilt written all over him. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you,” he said, voice trembling. Henry didn’t answer. He sat there quietly, clutching his arm. Within, the injury was healing and now it's because visible to the eyes. “Wait... look at that,” the merchant’s wife whispered, eyes wide in disbelief. “Are you a mage?” Wednesday asked, her gaze locked on Henry’s arm as the last traces of injury disappeared. “Thank the goddess,” Vorden exhaled, relief washing over him. “It’s healing... he’s really healin
