"Nice increase in experience," Henry muttered under his breath, eyes lingering on the glowing screen.

The human beside him blinked. "Are… you talking to me?"

Henry stiffened, ears twitching. "No… no. Just talking to myself." He studied the man more closely and activated his skill.

'So Inspect works on humans too… but I can't see their health bar. Interesting.'

"My name's Felix," the human said, extending a hand.

'Should I tell him my real name?' Henry hesitated, then smiled warmly and clasped it. "I'm Golbin"

Felix glanced around the ruined hall. "So… Golbin what's the plan? How do we get out of here?, and what exactly are those items you want to sell?, I can help you with that, I've a Marchant friend"

Henry exhaled slowly, trying to sound confident. "I don't know the exact way out yet, but we'll find it. I'll protect you with everything I've got."

Felix's brow furrowed. "And the items?"

"Weapons," Henry replied simply. He had just started to pull up his inventory when the door creaked open.

The smell hit first, iron and rot.

"What now!" Henry snarled, weary of the endless fights.

Five unarmored orcs stumbled through the door. Their jaws dripped with fresh blood, their mouths smeared with crimson. When they saw the corpses of their kin dead across the floor, their eyes hardened.

For a moment, they stared at Henry. Then without warning they turned and bolted back the way they came.

"Yeah, run while you still can," Henry called after them, forcing a smirk.

"So how do we go about the undead senctory before the Penta..." Felix words were cut off as roar tore through the walls. Stone cracked, dust rained down.

The chamber shook as a massive orc smashed through, followed by the same five unarmored ones.

Henry's heart dropped. "Shit… they brought their boss." His hands tightened on his bow.

Henry's lips curved into a grin despite the danger. "That weapon he's carrying would fetch a great amount of coin, i won't miss this chance."

Looking through the broken walls, tables lined with butchered humans, their bones gnawed clean. Limbs stacked carelessly in corners. The stench of rot and dried blood choked the air. Henry's stomach churned violently.

'So that's why Felix hesitated to trust me. He thought I was one of them.'

Felix darted toward the previous chamber, chased by the unarmored orcs. Henry called after him, "Don't go too far! Stay close!"

The Orc Chief bellowed and lunged, swinging his heavy blade.

Henry sidestepped, barely avoiding the strike. "Fight safe, Felix! I'm coming!"

The chief's sword crashed down again and again. Sparks flew as Henry blocked with his bow, the impact rattling his arms.

"No damage… my bow's too thick. Is it… crystal-forged?" His mind raced even as he dodged.

The orc moved slower than Henry, its strength outweighing its speed. That was Henry's advantage. He wove around each furious swing, letting agility guide his survival.

*Clang!* *Clang!* * Clang!*

Each missed blow left gouges in the stone floor. Henry's breath came quick but steady. "One mistake meant death"

The chief's blade slammed into the wall, embedding deep into the stone. It snarled, straining to pull it free.

Henry acted instantly. He lunged forward, leaping high, and drove his foot into the creature's throat.

[-9 HP]

The orc gagged and stumbled, clutching at its neck.

Henry landed, already pulling his slingshot. Two rocks gleamed in his hand. "No helmet. Perfect."

*Whew*

The stones whistled through the air and struck true, one in each eye.

The orc shrieked, blinded, flailing wildly.

Henry smirked. 'Nice shot.'

He nocked an arrow, drew back, and aimed for the bleeding sockets. "Time to die."

The arrow pierced between the eyes with a sharp crack, driving deep into the skull.

*Roar*

The orc staggered, let out one final roar, and collapsed with a thunderous crash.

Ding!

He was lost in words and didn't know what to say.Juliet’s eyes softened for a moment, then hardened again. “I don’t know why I’m attached to you, Henry,” she said quietly. “I know nothing about you.” She brushed past him, giving him a slight shove as she walked ahead.Henry sighed, rubbing his neck. “Last time I told her where I really came from, she didn’t believe me,” he muttered under his breath. Shaking his head, he followed her down the dusty path toward the merchant’s house.“Juliet!” he called. She didn’t answer. Her pace didn’t even slow. When they reached the merchant’s residence, Juliet entered first. Henry followed, keeping a respectful distance. Hours passed before Wednesday and Vorden finally arrived, looking exhausted but pleased. They gathered in the sitting room, talking about the quest and the strange beasts they’d faced. Henry caught Juliet’s eyes once—but she turned away almost instantly, pretending to focus on her food.D

Henry’s feet pounded against the forest floor as he muttered under his breath, " Alright let's play a little.”Behind him, the thunder of hooves shook the ground. The evolved Fang Boar bellowed furiously and charged. Henry darted between trees, glancing around. Then he spotted one, a tall oak with a sturdy branch angled perfectly for climbing.“Got you,” he whispered. He leapt, caught the branch, and hauled himself upward in one clean motion. The boar crashed against the base of the tree, its tusks scraping bark and splintering wood. It glared up at him, snorting hot air through flared nostrils.“Nice chase” Henry muttered, tightening his grip on the branch as the beast rammed the trunk again and again. Each strike sent shivers up the wood. The tree groaned in protest, its roots loosening as soil shifted beneath it. Henry felt the tremors vibrate through his feet.“Alright, buddy, that’s enough,” he muttered, looking down at the fanged brute that refused to quit.He sighed. “I'll sti

“What is it? Why are you smiling?” the receptionist asked, narrowing her eyes slightly, curiosity playing at the corners of her lips. Henry blinked, snapping out of his daze. “Nothing,” he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. His eyes accidentally drifted down for the valley at her chest but darted away before she could notice. “Come on, guys! Let’s get this quest started!” Wednesday spoke. They left the guild together but soon split up, each heading toward their respective quest destinations. Henry followed the rough map printed on the back of his quest sheet, his boots crunching softly on the gravel road. “I’m only supposed to kill two Fang Boars and bring their crystals back,” he murmured to himself, holding the quest paper against the wind. “Even if I take down twenty, no one would know. The extra crystals would all be mine.” He grinned a little at the thought. But as he walked through the busy street leading to the capital gate, his attention was caught by a famili

Juliet’s soft voice broke the momentary silence. “What’s wrong?” she asked from behind, noticing the woman’s fixed gaze on Henry. “I don’t know,” the woman replied, her brows furrowed. “Something feels… different about his face.” Juliet chuckled, stepping closer with a teasing smile. “Yeah, he’s handsome, right? Most people even mistake him for a girl.” “Maybe.” The woman shrugged, brushing it off before walking away. Henry, however, knew she wasn’t just admiring him, she had sensed something unusual. She was a high-level adventurer, skilled and perceptive. If she had truly seen through him, he might’ve been in trouble. There were too many adventurers here for him to escape unnoticed if something went wrong. 'Almost got caught' Henry thought with a sigh of relief. Minutes later, the receptionist returned, holding several small cards. “Congratulations,” she said with a polite smile as she handed them out. “You’re now official F-Rank adventurers. Welcome to the guild.” He

“We’d like to register as adventurers,” Vorden said confidently to the receptionist behind the counter. The woman looked up from her desk and smiled politely. “Wait a moment.” She pulled open a drawer, retrieved a small stack of forms, and spread them neatly before the group.“Please fill these out first,” she said.Henry stared at the paper in front of him, feeling lost. The only things he could confidently fill in were his name and age. Vorden, however, was already writing swiftly, so Henry subtly peeked at his sheet for clues and managed to complete his own form with some effort.Once they were done, the receptionist began explaining the rules and responsibilities of adventurers, how guild ranks worked, the importance of missions, and the conduct expected from every registered member. She had clearly done this many times before, her tone professional yet patient. Henry listened with extra attention; everything about this world was new to him, and he didn’t want to miss a detail.Wh

Panic rippled through the group as they rushed toward Henry, their faces tight with fear and confusion. “Don’t worry, guys. I’ll be alright,” Henry muttered, forcing a calm smile even as his mind spun. His body slowly began to heal from within. “Maids!” the merchant barked, his voice sharp at first, then quickly softening into reassurance. “Don’t panic, Henry. It’s just a cut. You’ll be fine. The healer lives only a stone’s throw away.” Vorden dropped beside Henry, guilt written all over him. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you,” he said, voice trembling. Henry didn’t answer. He sat there quietly, clutching his arm. Within, the injury was healing and now it's because visible to the eyes. “Wait... look at that,” the merchant’s wife whispered, eyes wide in disbelief. “Are you a mage?” Wednesday asked, her gaze locked on Henry’s arm as the last traces of injury disappeared. “Thank the goddess,” Vorden exhaled, relief washing over him. “It’s healing... he’s really healin
