“We should leave this place quickly.”

Three minutes after they left, a brown bear suddenly appeared at the scene and began sniffing around, searching for the source of the earlier surge of elemental essence.

It was still looking when a green-eyed leopard emerged from the trees.

The moment they noticed each other, their gazes locked, and without hesitation, they lunged at one another, breaking into a fierce fight.

“I think we’ve gone far enough. That cave should make a good hiding spot,” Azrael said, pointing toward a cave not too far ahead.

“We’ll refine the treasure inside, then I’ll leave this forest,” he added, glancing at Azrith.

Azrith let out a low hiss in response, and with that, they made their way into the cave.

Inside, Azrael carefully opened the sack and took out the two fruits. This time, however, there was no surge of elemental essence.

He handed one of the fruits to Azrith.

Azrith swallowed it whole without hesitation. Almost immediately, its aura began to rise as it entered a semi-passive state. The elemental essence from the fruit circulated through its body, and its size began to increase at a visible rate.

After a while, its aura finally stabilized, and it snapped its eyes open.
