Ethan was panting!

This area was a mansion district, and there were no cars available, so he had to run all the way back.

Thankfully, he was different from before; otherwise, he wouldn't have made it. However, when he returned with a document in hand, he found Jasmine in tears.

"Wife," he said, his expression changing as he stepped forward.

But Salome blocked his way. Not only did she stop him, but she also slapped him hard across the face. "Wife? You think you can call her that? You traitor, you ungrateful man who's been keeping a mistress! What right do you have to call my daughter your wife?"

Smack!

A red handprint appeared on Ethan's face. He didn't defend himself; as he had said before, he owed the Thompson family. "I didn't!" he gritted his teeth.

"Didn't? Then tell me, does this matter exist or not?" Beatrice handed over her phone, showing the same photo from before.

"This is..."

"Just answer the question, does it exist or not?"

"Yes!" Ethan gritted his teeth, admitting it.

"But this situation is..." Ethan Blackwood wanted to say something, but before he could finish, Beatrice interrupted him with a mocking laugh. "Oh, are you trying to say that this Woman isn't just Someone you're keeping on the side? Just a friend? Or maybe there's something else going on, and you two need to meet up for a 'pure' reason? Please, save that nonsense for a three-year-old!"

"Ethan Blackwood, oh Ethan, my sister has been fooled by you for so long. Do you really think you can keep deceiving her?" Beatrice continued.

"Exactly! Someone who would even betray his own brother has no feelings at all," Ryan Blackwood chimed in, crossing his arms.

"Jasmine, I may be a scumbag and a playboy, but I'm still better than this guy, aren't I? I can't even respect someone like him," Eden Jackson sneered.

"Useless, just useless. Daughter, I never agreed to your marriage with this guy. Do you realize that Elite Group is your father's legacy? It's the only thing he poured his heart into, and look how this guy has run it into the ground. What would your father think if he knew?" Salome cried out from the side.

"Honey, do you believe me?" Ethan turned to Jasmine, desperation in his eyes. "Sis, do you trust your own sister or a useless man? A random orphan you picked up from the orphanage years ago!" Beatrice interjected.

"Honey, I..." Ethan Blackwood stepped forward, wanting to say something.

But then!

"You... just go," Jasmine spoke, her voice trembling with unshed tears. She turned away, not wanting to face him.

"Honey, I bought this for you.." Ethan took another step closer, pulling out a box containing a beautiful necklace. But just as he opened it, the box was knocked out of his hands.

"I don't want it!" Jasmine turned around, her eyes red and swollen from crying. "You asked me if I believed you. I used to believe in you-so much that I even thought about being with you for real. Do you know? I started to like you, but then... why? Why?!"

"Why did you do this? Elite Group is my father's life's work! Why would you betray me like this? l've never treated you poorly, so why... why would you do this to me?" Tears streamed down Jasmine's cheeks, each drop a testament to her heartbreak.

Why!

Why did you have to treat me like this? I had just started to like you. l'll had just begun to think about truly being with you.

"Honey, I..." Ethan tried to explain.

"Leave!"

"Wife!"

"Just go!"

"Wife, I... about this..."

"Don't.. call me that! I never want to hear that word again... Just go... please, just go..." Jasmine pointed toward the door, tears streaming down her face.

"Don't cry, I'll leave."

"Fine, just go!" Ethan turned and walked away. After he left, Eden Jackson suddenly glanced at the necklace on the floor.

"Oh, isn't this the Heart of an Angel? Wow, this guy bought a fake today." Just moments ago, when Ethan had pulled out the necklace, Jasmine had pushed him away, and it had landed right on the trash can.

But part of it was still visible. "Ha! This fool must have thought that since I gave Jasmine a genuine Heart of an Angel yesterday, he could buy a fake today. Does he not know that the Heart of an Angel is one of a kind? It was crafted by the famous master, Donald, at the peak of his career.

Eden chuckled!

This idiot actually went out and bought a fake Heart of an Angel!

Did he not know that the Heart of an Angel was one of a kind in the world? "Yeah, that Heart of an Angel necklace is worth a lot," Salome nodded in agreement.

She had looked it up online because of that necklace, and it was incredibly expensive-possibly worth millions, and even then, it might not be available.

She felt quite heartbroken about it.

But thankfully, she believed that the Moore family young master could afford to give such a precious gift.

"As for this fake, is it even worth twenty bucks? Ha!" Salome scoffed.

Just then, roses suddenly began to fall from the sky, leaving everyone in shock. Someone caught a few and exclaimed, "These are Prague roses, the most expensive roses in the country! Each one starts at ten thousand! What's going on with so many of them?"

The Main Thirteen Needles-this technique was buried deep in their memories. Among them, there were practitioners of both traditional medicine and Western medicine, as well as those who were skilled in both. However, when they heard about the Main Thirteen Needles, they were all taken aback. This was a technique recorded in ancient texts that had long been lost to time. It was something their master's master had once spoken of. Once the needles were inserted, if one looked closely, they could vaguely see the character "Main" emerging. The Main needles seemed to work as one, guiding the body and blood to flow along this character, beginning to revive. The blood started to surge. Suddenly, Adrian Jackson spat out a mouthful of blood black blood, pure black, clearly indicating stagnant blood. Afterward, Adrian's expression relaxed. He no longer felt the discomfort he had before. "This... this is how the stagnant blood was forced Out!" The three elderly men stood frozen in p

"What!" Holland Brigg's, who was on the ground nursing his hand with a look of despair and anger, suddenly heard those words. His expression changed dramatically as he struggled to get up and looked at Ethan Blackwood. "Are you serious?"Ethan Blackwood didn't want to explain himself. In the next moment, Briggs realized that it was likely true. This guy had the ability to heal his master. After all, Liam had been cured by him. If he could heal his master, then he could save him. But instead, he was here causing trouble. "Mr. Ethan, I, Holland Brigg's, was wrong this time. Please, Mr. Ethan, don't hold it against me. Just punish me; my actions have nothing to do with my master. Do whatever you want with me. Please, you have to save my master." With a thud, Brigg's dropped to his knees in front of Ethan, bowing his head in apology. Bang! Bang! Bang! The ground shook with the sound of Briggs forehead hitting the floor, a visible blood mark appearing on his skin. Ethan B

What! The Moore family members were taken aback. "How dare he, Briggs!" Liam slammed his hand on the table in frustration. Uncle Adrian, also known as Adrian Jackson, who was still nursing his serious injuries nearby, looked equally confused. Why was his disciple here? Just then, a furious voice rang out from the doorway: "Liam Moore, you old fool! I heard my master was seriously injured, and yet you had the audacity to invite that injured person into the Moore family and even host a banquet for him!" With each word filled with anger, a group of men dressed in white martial arts uniforms entered, led by a middle-aged man brimming with vitality. His fists looked incredibly powerful, capable of easly taking down a professional security guard with just a few strikes. Surrounding him were a dozen or so men, clearly his disciples, who followed him in. Bang! After kicking a security guard aside, Briggs Holland turned to Liam and said, "Liam Moore." "What do you mean, Ho

"I have feelings for you, but even though we've been living together for four years, it's really just the beginning, isn't it? I want to give you a chance. I think, over time, I will truly come to like you, but not right now." "This angel heart necklace... I think I should keep it for now. I don't want you giving it to another woman. If one day I really do fall for you, then l'll wear this necklace and show up in front of you. How does that sound Jasmine peeked out, her eyes sparkling with a hint of hope as she asked. "Sounds good," Ethan nodded, though a pang of pain shot through his heart. He understood the reason behind her hesitation. Jasmine had lost her father in a car accident during college, making her the eldest in her family. She had always acted maturely. She had focused on her business studies and had never been close to any other boys. Perhaps he was the first. Because of that, she was inexperienced in this area, and at that moment, the powerful CEO felt like a li

  • CHAPTER 22

"Actually, there's no need to go through all this trouble." Ethan stepped forward. "What's wrong, our dear son-in-law?" one of the women, Phoebe, asked warmly. Ethan was quite the catch himself. However, his words left everyone frozen in place. "In fact, the Moore family hasn't helped us as much as you think. The reason they partnered with Elite Group today is that their patriarch is seriously ill. I happened to come across an ancient remedy that eased his condition, so the Moore family owes me a favor." "When they asked what I wanted, I simply said I wanted a sky full of roses and a necklace. Beyond that, I didn't ask for anything else. Now, that favor has been repaid, and the Moore family is unlikely to assist us again. In fact, Morgan Moore probably won't even talk to me anymore, considering I'm just a nobody. " Ethan shrugged, "So, the partnership between Elite Group and the Moore family ends here. If you want to collaborate on development, you won't achieve much." "No,

At the back of the room stood an elderly man, around seventy years old, with a somewhat stern expression. This was Henry Thompson, the head of the Thompson family, also known as Wyatt. He stepped forward, intending to greet Jasmine Thompson, but she remained motionless, which made him want to explode with anger. "Niece, call me Grandpa," Piper Thompson, her uncle, urged. "Grandpa? Haven't I been disowned from the family? What right do I have to call you Grandpa? Don't you think?" Jasmine replied coldly. Yes, she had been disowned. Her entire family had been struck from the family tree. Call him Grandpa? Ha! "Uh... what happened back then was a misunderstanding. We were reckless, we were reckless.." Piper quickly interjected. At the same time, he shot a glance at Wyatt. Wyatt frowned, clearly reluctant, but still said, "Yes, a misunderstanding." "Niece, please let us in. It's not right to wait out here at the door, is it?" Piper continued. That makes sense!
